First time at Joe Leo Fine Tex Mex. Chips had a really off-putting taste like the oil hadn’t been changed in the deep fryer in some time. Tacos on two different plates came with a huge pile of cheese. Not balanced. And the refried beans were strangely sweet, not savory. Tasted like a cilantro tomatillo or sweet salsa verde sauce was added to the beans. No bueno. On the plus, margarita was good and the atmosphere is really charming. But music so loud we couldn’t hear our server or talk to each other without shouting.

Just a heads up the website still states they have happy hour daily until 6pm but we arrived and they told us they don’t have regular happy hours on Friday which was disappointing because we checked the website for happy hour information before making a reservation and they still would not uphold happy hour prices. Service was great and a super cute restaurant, the food was good but definitely overpriced

Food and drinks are 10/10! Recommend the chicken Tinga tacos and crispy beef tacos. All margs are great, but especially the spicy skinny and the mango. Can be a little loud and very lively but has a great patio.

The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere perfectly complemented the meal: warm, inviting, and full of charm. Soft lighting, great music, and attentive service made the entire experience memorable. A true gem worth revisiting.

Service was extraordinarily slow. I'm not sure if they were understaffed or our waiter was just very inattentive, but the only order we got in quickly was the initial drink order. After that, we needed flares to get his attention and remind him to return to our table. Prices are reasonable, ambiance is great, and parking was easy. The food was mediocre at best, as were the drinks. Beer is your best bet here.

We all 3 had chicken in our dishes and could not eat any of the chicken because it was flavorless and overcooked. Thankfully, I had ordered a ground beef taco as well and that was good. The service was not great either. We had to remind our server 4 different times about ordering guacamole and he came to our table twice and said your queso will be out shortly. Then forgot to actually place the guacamole order, so we got it eventually when we got the rest of our food.

Great food. We went after the lunch rush on a Saturday. Service was good and the place had a great atmosphere. Would think it’s a really nice spot in the summer when they open the big door to the outdoor seating area. Highly recommend.
