                                                                                                                          Arrived early so sat at the bar and people watched. The service was prompt and good variety of cocktails. The crowd was mixed from a family of tourists to professionals ending their day. All came and went happy. The menu has a variety but not too expansive. We had the seafood linguine and arctic char with fresh vegetables. The portions are generous and cooked to perfection. The char is first baked then pan fried. The fish was flaky and tasty. The vegetables steamed such that they were crisp and flavorful The linguine had masses of seafood, mushrooms and some truffle.

Food was all over cooked and took too long to come out. Piano was super loud and it was almost impossible to have conversation at a business dinner.

Was seated upstairs, in the corner which provided a cozy yet energetic ambience for dinner. Service was impeccable, food outstanding, and the energy vibrant. Can't go wrong with any of the menu selections. For appetizers, we had calamari, chowder, oysters on the half shell, and dinner bread service, which featured their special lobster oil and olive dip - truly exquisite. For mains, Cioppino is a long time favorite, seafood linguine was excellent, sockeye salmon was done perfectly, and sirloin steak was done a perfect medium rare. They provided complimentary half order brulee for our birthday celebrant, which put the cherry on top of a delightful evening out for the four of us, including a teenager. We always find our way here for special occasions, and once again they didn't disappoint. Keep it up Joe Fortes!

My son has never tried oysters and now he is hooked A must stop every time I’m in Van and we have another reservation in two days.
