Joe Fortes has been specializing in classic, American cuisine since 1985. The turn-of-the-century inspired dining room features 30-foot high ceilings and six unique dining venues that include our Rooftop Garden. Director of Culinary, Wayne Sych, and Executive Chef, Ryan Green, prepare each dish with a focus on natural flavours and features the finest ingredients from Pacific Northwest farmers, fishermen, and other food artisans. The food and service were excellent. We were seated upstairs and our table for two was small and very close to other tables around us. The view to the lower level was nice but the noise level made it difficult to hear my wife across from me. I guess I’d describe the atmosphere as very lively, not exactly a quiet romantic place

So many people recommended this restaurant to us on our visit to Vancouver that we couldn’t pass it up. Our server was friendly, accommodating, and on top of everything but not too much that we couldn’t enjoy a pleasant late birthday celebration. All the staff worked in tandem to make sure that everything was orchestrated just beautifully. they accommodated special request. Food came out. Hot was served beautifully and everything tasted delicious. Definitely one of our most memorable meals of our trip and would recommend this place to anyone. have to bench in the lobster oil was very good and interesting and not something we’d had before. crème brûlée was delicious.

I read the many positive reviews before going, and I totally agree with all of them. We ordered the king cod (the special that night). It was cooked to perfection, as were the vegetables. Service was EXCELLENT.

So excited that we found this place. It did not disappoint. Amazing Seafood, but the service was over the top, with our servers Donna. Made great recommendations and incredible service. Thank you

10 out of 10, absolutely how a restaurant should be run, would highly recommend. They treated my girlfriend and I on our anniversary wonderfully.

Warmly greeted as we entered the restaurant. Our Server (Alex) was so polite, helpful and proactive to our needs. The food we selected was delicious as was the wine. Alex was so helpful in answering our questions which ensured we got exactly what we wanted. This is a ‘happening place’ with a positive buzz and with not an empty table. So busy, yet we still felt well looked after. We’d definitely would come back.
