I would have given a high review as we did enjoy our experience there. I really like our server as she made some great wine recommendations and was playful. What I didn’t like was the extra glass of wine on our bill. As I am pretty sure it was an accident, it still left a bad taste in my mouth. Make sure the bill is correct prior to passing along to your guests. Especially when the bill is over $400 for 2 people. Hopefully, not something that happens often at Joe Beef. I also did feel a little rushed so they could turn the table over. They have a fine tuned machine of I am sure very profitable restaurants, so perhaps that is simply par for the course. I also felt that they put the tourists and in one area in the back? I could be wrong.

The service was outstanding. The lobster pasta delicious. The Rib eye wasn’t cooked exactly how we wanted it, a little too rare but still good as the quality was there. The bone marrow appetizer I wouldn’t order again it didn’t taste like much and was very liquid. Oysters were amazing quality! We will come back for sure ❤️

The shared appetizer (garlic aioli) was varied with specific care on each element. The cured fish and beet vinegar egg were the stand out. Cocktail of the day was different and good balance of martini flavours. Main were perfectly prepared and seasoned. Desserts did not disappoint. The serve was warm, helpful and very efficient. We will rerun next time in Montreal! This was a spot on recommendation from a chef friend of my travelling companion.

Fun vibe. Knowledgable and helpful staff. Pricey, sure, but well worth the value! Very obvious why this is on so many “must do” lists.

Unlike seemingly everyone else, we were unsure what to expect at Joe Beef. We had only heard it was legendary but not much beyond that as travelers from Massachusetts. Everything, from the food to the service to the ambience, impressed. We can’t wait to try Liverpool and revisit Joe Beef upon our next trip to Montreal.

En plat principal, Ma femme a pris un filet mignon cuisiné à la perfection. j'ai pris du flétan. J'ai trouvé la sauce un peu forte quand même appréciée. En résumé c'était une expérience agréable, assez cher, mais pas plus que prévu, et ça valait vraiment le coup.

Was not my first time going and never had issues with the portion sizes before, but a rack of lamb that was 4 bites of meat,with a side that was literally a chopped up heirloom tomato for 120$ Same for the 90$ filet that came with 3 asparagus, and all sides were extra. When did it become such a money grab? Won't be going back.
