It’s all about the Beef , which should’ve been more tender. A $95(C) filet was a bit tough. The pepper sauce was very good. Escargot was excellent. Nice ambiance and help.

The lobster spaghetti was amazing, and the kitchen was kind enough to remove the shell so I didn't have to do any work before enjoying the dish.

Service was good, food was fine, really nothing to rave about. We had the croquettes, bone marrow flan, duck and, the lobster spaghetti followed by the chocolate mousse and a strange cake for dessert. Wanted to try while visiting but wouldn’t be rushing back.

We drive up from central Vermont to eat at Joe Beef - it’s a 3+ hour drive and worth every minute in the car. Oysters and escargot are off the hook every time and the service - OMG chef’s kiss. Julien is the premiere server - patient, makes incredible suggestions, knows the menu and wine list like the back of his hand and even elaborates on where food is sourced. This was our 4th visit and we can’t wait to return this fall. - Oysters - Escargot - Asparagus w/chanterelle mushrooms - Side carrots - Duck with cherry sauce - Haibut special over ratatouille - Hangar Steak **clean plates***

I had really high hopes for Joe Beef given its reputation. Sadly it didn’t meet expectations as the food underwhelmed. Aside from the oysters, everything else we ordered was average. Lacking in creativity and flavor, I felt it didn’t deliver.

The food was very good but fell just shy of our absurdly high expectations. I've been to Liverpool House and thought this would be much better. It was on par, and honestly we thought LH was slightly better. Was still a great meal.
