Sommelier recommended a fantastic wine from Germany that we enjoyed so much, we ordered 2 bottles of it. Food and ambience were great.
I was great to experience jockey hollow again after so many months of being closed down. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. Glad to see they're back and better than most!
Very nice patio, food unfortunately was average. Definitely expected more from an upscale restaurant.
Had a wonderful meal, oysters, brioche toast and the scallops. Service was great, will keep coming back.
Best meal I have had in Motown in a while. Outside it started to rain and it is not very equipped to handle that but other than that all was great- best sommelier I have dealt with in a long time.
Service was fantastic and staff very welcoming and helpful.
Food was very good and plated well. A little pricy for the plates.
Highly recommend. James - the mixologist is phenomenal. All of the food was outstanding, ambiance is beautiful. And the service was top notch.
Huge improvement over my last few times there. Food was great, being charged $14 for bread n butter in what is by far the most expensive restaurant around rubs me the wrong way. Just know drinks are very expensive! I eat at expensive places all the time these prices are much higher. Set that aside the food was great, the place had new lighter feel, the service was greatly improved. I’m hoping they can have consistency so I will go try again soon. I’m cautiously optimistic it could be a place I go much more often.
Delicious food served well in a nice setting.
Food was good but a bit over priced . Service was decent. We ordered wine by the glass . It is insulting to give such a meager pour on a glass of wine when you are charging such an exorbitant price. What are they thinking .
Sat outside on the patio. Incredibly friendly and attentive wait staff without being intrusive. All food came out at excellent intervals to make sure we did not feel rushed, but not waiting too long between courses. Very enjoyable evening.
Great service! Superb and attentive staff. Food is amazing.
Octupus appetizer great.
Scallops and Oysters were delicious.
Cocktail was great.
Berkshire pork chop was disappointing, would not recommend
Accommodated our small children which was nice
We had a wonderful experience. The staff was extremely attentive and pleasant. Our meals were exquisite and the grandeur and ambiance was amazing. A bit pricey, but worth it. Highly highly recommend it!
Very nice but a bit loud.
It was a beautiful evening to dine outside and tonight, the terrific ambiance was matched with outstanding service and food.
The food was pretty awful, especially for a high priced restaurant. I had the pork which was tough and fatty and my husband had the barbecue chicken which was practically inedible and our friend had the tile fish which was ok. The only thing that was good, was the service. The waitresses were very efficient and attentive. This is my second time eating here and there won’t be a third.
What a great experience. It’s a beautiful restaurant with great ambience. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. And the food was amazing, one of the best meals I’ve had out in quite some time.
We had high expectations for this restaurant. It ended up letting us down, the food wasn’t executed well with the exception of the clams. The cocktails were too sweet. Wine was good. Overall way too overpriced.
Service was excellent and the complimentary dessert wine was delicious and much appreciated for our anniversary!
Falling from grace…. First of all two of the four main course dinners arrived room temperature, or even cooler than room temp. And the dishes were seafood, so obviously either not cooked to order or sat for a Ling time while other dishes were being prepared. Either way, not a good sign. And it was a WTF moment to have to pay $14 for a “variety” of bread and butter, only to receive one variety of very ordinary rolls. Lastly, there was one variety of oyster available and desert was just Ok for me.
Delicious meal, excellent service. Can't wait to go back.
Took my girlfriend here for her bday… she absolutely loved it. We both did. Atmosphere was great, service was excellent, and food was phenomenal. The raw bar was so good.l, oysters and Humber shrimp. We had the pasta and some ravioli, amazing. Pricey but worth it in my opinion, at least for a special occasions drinks get you, $18 a pop but again delicious l. Will return for another occasion!
Probably the best meal I've ever had at JHBK. Highly recommend the small plates and the by-the-glass wine list is as interesting as ever.
First time back to Jockey Hollow post covid. The food was pretty good, service good, beautiful room of course. What really annoyed me was a $14 charge for bread! I’ve now been to a few fine dining restaurants that either ask you if you want bread or charge some nominal amount, but $14! And for that our party of four got 3 smallish square rolls! Three smallish rolls! Really!?!? Not even a roll apiece? Not that I need the calories of course but I always get a cocktail right away and like to have some bread with it. A serious put off, as much as I might enjoy the occasional meal there, that will make me think twice. Thanks. Regards. Ned.
Amazing new menu and Jonathan the waiter was exceptional!
Good place for a date night
Overall, I would not recommend. Maybe it was an off-night. I doubt I’d come back and make the investment needed to find out. Raw seafood served dirty and warm. Serving sizes were incredibly tiny. Terrible value. Over $200 with no drinks. Jumbo shrimp, oysters and scallops biggest rip-offs. Waiters and managers were the positives of the night. Desserts ok to good.
We came to the Oyster Bar to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary and it was fantastic. The service was stellar, the food outstanding and the wine selection was amazing. We received constant attention and the staff made our 50th diner very special.
Thank you so much!
Bob & Kathy Reid
Really glad that they’ve reopened. The menu has completely changed & is delicious. The wine list has also been expanded & has several great choices to suit every price point. The ravioli & lemon poppy seed cake were particularly delicious as were the fresh Barnegat oysters. A welcome return to the Morristown restaurant scene. Will definitely be back.
Delightful menu and setting, looking forward to our next visit.
We always love dining at Jockey Hollow. Wait staff is top notch and the food is outstanding. We had the Parpadelle and Chicken entres. Both delicious. Can't wait to come back.
Amazingly consistent! Fabulous food and ambiance. We booked every week again for at least three weeks in advance- it’s that great!
Excellent service and friendly severs, knowledgeable and helpful. Great cocktails, we really enjoyed the small plates and oysters!
Great meal! Beautiful location!
The upstairs was closed (which I was not aware when I made the reservation) so sitting downstairs or outside was the only option. Our table was positioned in the middle of the room with servers and people walking around our table constantly. The noise level was high due to all the people talking in a relatively small space, making it hard to hear.
If for whatever reason they can't offer the level of service and atmosphere that they have in the past, then they either need to lower their prices or set things up better. Patrons don't want to pay $150-$200 for 2 and feel like they are in a pub bar with loud noise, difficulty having a conversation and be sitting in a make-shift space in the middle of the room with other diners and servers constantly walking around their table. If I wanted that, I could have just gone to a local pub and paid a fraction of the price.
We love it here! Every experience has been delicious and special.
Beautiful place. The service was very good. Drinks and food were great! Worth going!!
The JHBK team knocked it out of the park, service was excellent and we didn’t realize how much we missed the food. Best food in NJ
The service was atrocious, incredibly slow. They brought food out at different times. My friend's drink was sub-par. In addition he asked specifically for no parmesan cheese on his. It came out 2 hours late with parmesan cheese on it. He was not about to wait another two hours! Manage never came over to apologize will not be going back!
