   Ordered the meatballs for an app, lasagna and eggplant Parm for our meals. Everything tasted homemade and being Italian we are picky with our sauce (ok they call it gravy). The eggplant Parm had crispy edges and just the right amount of sauce, the lasagna was meaty but not heavy and had homemade noodles. Service couldn't have been nicer, from being seated through having dessert..The tiramisu tasted like they just made it in the kitchen, served in a stemless wine glass and definitely a homemade recipe! Fresh focaccia was being sliced and put in a warming oven as it came out. It was cabaret night and the performer had such a great voice. Just enough to accompany dinner. A perfect NY night out. Had to buy the cookbook to try some recipes at home!

   If you love Italian food, then you must visit Joanne Trattoria. The food is extremely good and reasonably priced. The menu was good and had a big selection of items. I had the lemon chicken and some mocktails, and it tasted perfect. If you're a Little Monster and a fan of Gaga, then it's even more important to visit, and you’ll enjoy the experience. Don’t worry, even if you're just there for the food, you won’t be disappointed. You won’t miss that there is a drag show or event if going in the evening; it's almost impossible because of really good advertising. I went during the drag show, and that was really cool and fun. We had a guest queen, Erotica, and she was incredible. We also had the hosting queen and performer LalaWiggy, also incredible! Both were super nice and interactive the whole night. They did live singing, jokes, some dancing, and ended the finale with Abracadabra. Our waitress took the time to listen to us and even took multiple photos of our table! Also, ordering was easy with the QR code menu. Overall, the service was some of the best I have experienced in NYC, and the restaurant really cares for the customers. You really feel the homemade atmosphere and generations of artists, whether that is in the kitchen or on the stage. The facility was cozy and small, making it feel more inviting. The only minor minus was the loud music, but it was expected since it was a show.

   We were 4 last evening and complaint couldn’t find waiter to request parm cheese, no pouring of wine, served 2 of 4 entrees and waited for other entrees. Did not ask about dessert. The food was absolutely delicious; we had salmon, Joanne’s special lemon chicken and meatballs and spaghetti. Apps were great too- caprese enough for 4 to share and the zucchini also good and easily shareable. We enjoyed dinner however service was lacking.

   The meal I had last night was definitely not as good as the meal I had 6 months ago. The Caesar salad tasted funny; I know what Caesar dressing should taste like. I had a pasta dish which was drowning in sauce, although tasty. Meatballs were inedible with a really bad taste. There was entertainment, which was great, and the atmosphere is positive and enthusiastic. Service was inconsistent.

   Food was amazing, staff wonderful and entertainment so much fun. The Amy Winehouse impersonator was wonderful.

   What a lovely evening! Great food, excellent service and enjoyable atmosphere. We shared the meatballs and arancini for appetizers. I had enough at that point but my companions had the caesar salad with chicken, chicken parmesan, and a truffle pappardelle. All were excellent and portions were more than adequate. Along with the great service and food, we throughly enjoyed the cabaret singer and magician. A wonderful experience and we will definitely return when in NY again.

   We have dinner at Jooanne’s routinely on Friday evenings for the cabaret acts and as always the food, drinks and ambience. ALWAYS a great time with a family- friendly vibe. Highly recommend the Lavender Blomde, Espresso Marrtini or Limoncello Martini to kick things off :)

    My bestie and I try to visit Joanne as often as possible. Food, service, and ambiance is always perfection. Owner always makes it a point to say hi to us and see how we’re liking everything. Love how this place has turned into a wonderful spot for emerging nyc artists!!
