This restaurant has the feeling of a cozy neighborhood watering spot. The staff, from the bartender to the servers, were all friendly and helpful.
Love Joanne's neighborhood feel, comfortable bar area and very good Italian food.
The tables are so crowded together you can barely get to the rest room. The food was expensive, the pasta over cooked, and the noise level loud. I will not go back.
The prices are really reasonable and the portion sizes are great. The food was okay but could be better.
My favorite spot in Manhattan - I go every time I am in town. It feels like home to me.
Great food and service. Music was good and we were able to have a conversation. Hooray. A neighborhood favorite
We had a lovely dinner at Joanne Trattoria. The service was friendly and efficient, the food was good. It is a small place and could get noisy but it did not feel overwhelming.
The food was great and the people where nice
Salmon was wonderful
Excellent service, piping-hot food and delicious. Well worth a visit for authentic Italian fare. The best calamari I’ve ever tasted
Great food and service
Enjoy the experience and will be back for sure
Very cold in the back dining room but food was good.....frittata at $21 seemed a bit pricy but it was delicious!
Great food and ambiance. Also noticed several A list celebs dining during our dinner
Went to Joanne’s for my birthday, perfect on a cold New York evening, very warm and cosy with good quality food. Definitely will go again!
Joanne’s is my favorite place to be, it’s so cozy and the food is beyond amazing. Every time i go to the city it’s a must, i walked 40 blocks to get there and I’d do it again and again!
The place is very cute and intimate.....unfortunately, we ordered the chicken parm and were very disappointed - it was dry and not very tasty - also ordered the meatballs and spaghetti which was good but only got one meatball - could have used another.....
We had a wonderful lunch and thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and food. Our waiter Taylor was great and the food delicious. I had a frittata with mushrooms, prosciutto, sausage and Gorgonzola but the meatball appetizer was amazing. Highly recommend Joanne’s.
We have been to this restaurant before. Was way more crowded previously and they still let us pick our table. This time just sat us and there were better tables that never filled up. Waiter was very nice but we waited a long time for him to come by to just ask for jam. And then it took a long time to get it. By that time the toast was the only food left on the plate and it was cold. If the restaurant had been busy I could understand, but it was not busy at all. The staff was friendly.
Ambiance and service was solid. The good news stops there. Unfortunately, the food was mediocre at best. The Caesar salad was the highlight. The chicken in the Chicken Parm was dry and chewy. The pasta should have been fresh but wasn’t.
I was really hoping it would be better. It was a busy Friday night so maybe that explains it, but for the money it fell far short of expectation and value.
Meatball appetizer is a must!! Staff was extremely friendly and attentive.
The food and service was very good
Booked the restaurant and the restaurant was closed, wasted my time and taxi to go there, no consideration to customers to let them know that they are closed that day.
Food is always great, very cozy atmosphere and table is always ready at the reservation time.
One of my new favorites!
Celebrating pre New Years Eve, and my wife’s birthday.
Restaurant had a lovely ambience, a lovely fire which was ablaze & made the dining area very warm & cosy, however with it being a small venue, seating was on top of one another, so slightly squished! Food was delicious, not one bad meal between our party of 6. Unfortunately we had a miscommunication with our waitress, but the Manager was quick to rectify & was very apologetic. Overall we had a lovely evening.
We love it and we visit often!
VERY DISAPPOINTED - had been here a few times in the past and it was OK - but one of their "best sellers" lemon artichoke chicken was awful, TWICE ! we both ordered this dish and it was tasteless and tepid at best, as was the pasta it came with - the second time it was served was just as bad and i had to squeeze a lot of lemon just to get a hint of flavor - the restaurant was not busy but the service personnel didn't come to the back room often and i ended up eating it because i was starving and we would not have had time to find another restaurant and make our movie - it was an unpleasant experience and all we were offered was "i'm sorry" - doubt i'll go back in spite of it's convenient location - i was also surprised that an automatic 20% tip was INCLUDED for 2 people without any notification on the menu that this would be done ?????
Very cozy little restaurant. Pretty good service. Great food.
Price felt a bit too high for average quality food. Had the chicken parmesan and felt it was flat and the pasta a bit cheap when compared to the menu price. Yes it’s a very nice place with friendly staff but the food honestly felt a bit lacking.
Delicious cocktail and awesome grilled shrimp Cesare salad
My family likes so much. Foods good and place comfortable. Thanks.
Cozy surroundings, friendly service, good value!
My husband and I came to this restaurant because it looked good and it was close to Lincoln Center where we were going to see The Nutcracker. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip for an appetizer and that was pretty good. Our main courses weren't the best. I ordered the pizza and I felt like all I was eating was cheese (don't think it was fresh mozzarella). I couldn't even finish it, and the sauce was so flavorless. My husband had the Chicken Artichoke dish and the pasta was dry. They could have put more sauce on it. On the brighter side their house wine was good!!
Los mozos querían irse!
Great atmosphere, food and service good, but they put us in the outdoor room which was heated, and the heater broke and everyone out there was freezing- I think we should have been at least given a free coffee! People were eating with their coats on!it happened after we were seated so it's not like we had a choice to not eat out there.
Very expensive for what they offer
Very good! Second time there!
