    First time back since new ownership and I had a fantastic experience! The staff was great and I had one of the best espresso martinis I’ve ever had! And for Dinner we had seared scallops with Brussel sprouts that was cooked to perfection! We also had a super yummy salad and chicken. We will definitely be coming back!

    Pricey! $30+ for a pizza and $17+ for a salad isn’t reasonable. Flavors were “good” but not what we’ve experienced here in the past. 15 minute wait for a cocktail before dinner at the bar without being busy. We love the ambiance and with try once more when the garden is open.

    My wife and I love this place - food was delicious - pizza is perfect thin crust crunchy goodness - owners are such nice people - vibe is relaxed and fun - don’t miss it

    An absolute gem in the tiny town of Peru. From start to finish, it’s delicious, it’s unique, it’s creative and welcoming. It seems like all the employees smile because they’re also having a good time. This visit we had the Brussels sprouts, calamari and the “Come As You Are” pizza. Everything was cooked perfectly with that sweet spot of getting the quality/quantity just right. In fact, my husband brought 2 slices home…rare. We have tried many items on the menu.. each time we are wowed by the talent of their chef. I highly recommend JJ Hapgood to anyone looking for a great dining experience.

    Hapgoods has become our favorite go to restaurant for lunch AND dinner! We love the food, atmosphere, gift selection and all of the fabulous employees. We cannot be happier that the new owners took ownership in 2024 and have brought our local eatery back to life! Thank you!!! Looking forward to eating here for many years to come!     The food was excellent. Crispy Brussel sprouts were exactly that - much lighter than most restaurants that tend to just grill the whole Brussel sprout. These were individual leaves in a wonderful lemon vinaigrette (?). The pork chop, locally sourced, was equally delicious. Look forward to eating here again.
