   I decided to book a table for 3 to celebrate one of my best friend 40th in Jing Yan. I wrote down that the reason for the booking is birthday, and did not expect anything much from them. When we arrived we were served with a complementary blueberry martini to toast for my friends birthday, that was very thoughtful and impressive. We ordered 3 appetizers the marinated tufo, sweet and sour chicken and seaweed burrata, and all are outstanding, the tufo was so flavorful and crispy at the same time, while the burrata was so refreshing with the seaweed pesto in it, the chicken was thinly battered and crispy and light and flavorful. We all decided to have the beef kimchi ramen for entree, and that was very good as well, the beef was very tender and melts in your mouth, the broth was not over bearing, and the noodles and vegetables are cook perfectly, the kimchi was light and not to strong, although I prefer my kimchi strong but my friend who was picky like it that way, so it was perfect. The cocktails complements our meal well, I had a drink with ginger and sumac, I forgot the name but I love the bitterness and tast of it, my friends had a Singaporean cocktail, which they enjoy well. After dinner the staff once again gave us a complementary dessert for my friend birthday, a sorbet made with mascapone, and ube and coconut bits, which is to die for. It reminds me of my childhood ice cream in the Philippines, although I'm sure the staff did not know we were Filipinos , but the gesture felt almost personal and very thoughtful. Overall the place leave a lasting good impression for me, definitely gonna comeback.

   Creative Asian food and cocktails with some unexpected menu items. Everything was delicious and our server was super friendly and personable! Small and intimate with a very hip vibe! If you sit at the bar, the bartender, who coowns with his wife, is super friendly and interesting. I highly recommend ordering several dishes to share!

   Jing Yan is one of our go-to favorite restaurants. It was our first visit since they changed the menu. The food was not nearly as good as it has been with every one of our other visits. It was a HUGE disappointment and we will be putting it on the back burner for a while. There must have been a change in Kitchen staff, because this is very unlike what we have experienced before. We always brought guests there when visiting and we will no longer be doing that. So sad because it was SO good!

    Absolutely delicious! We went for my 40th birthday and loved it. The spicy tuna, swordfish skewers, and tuna poke bowl were incredible. Highly recommend!

    Excellent service. Our waitress recommended the swordfish skewer which was delicious. I had noted that it was my boyfriend's birthday and we were treated to complimentary mocktails and a dessert. We had the tuna poke and beef ramen and ate everything. Super relaxed and comfortable atmosphere!

    It was cold where we sat, two tables from the front door. Maybe have a little heater near by? Only other suggestion is to have some specials(none last night) and rotate the menu. Same options as last month when we were there Otherwise really great. Amazing dessert!

    We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Jing Yan. The ambience was quiet but not stuffy, very pleasant. Service was prompt and everyone we interacted with was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was excellent - good portions, very interesting flavors, huge variety. We agreed we could have ordered any number of things on the menu, and we'll be returning soon to do so!

    We ate here before and loved it so were excited to go back. I was disappointed to learn that the menu had recently changed and the spicy salmon tacos I had been craving were no longer available but I was excited to try something new. The tuna tartare was very good but we were a little disappointed with the entree choices and no one came away having loved their meal. Two people had the Beef Kimchi Ramen - one found it too spicy which was not indicated in the description, the other thought it was okay. I had Tom Kha, the vegetarian choice - nothing exciting. Overall, the food was a disappointment but hopefully it was just an off night. We still love the ambiance and staff. I am also being asked if I would recommend it to a friend with only Yes and No as responses -- I would say Yes with reservations.

    I love going to Jing Yan but I was disappointed that their menu had changed. The salad is amazing and my guests loved their salmon and duck choices, but I thought the tuna poke was quite pedestrian. On the other hand, the chocolate pot de creme (only dessert choice) more than made up for it!

    We found it on a whim, looking for somewhere to grab a bite before a show at the St Lawrence Performing Arts center next door. The place is absolutely amazing. Probably one of my top 10 dining experiences in my life. Great atmosphere, friendly and welcoming staff, delicious craft cocktails with an Asian twist, and the food was so amazingly good. If you get a chance to dine here, take it. A little pricy but very well worth the cost. This will become one of those special occasion spots for us.

    The Chef and Bartender both truly care about what is being served. Nice chill atmosphere and ambiance. Wonderful addition to this food/drink forward city. Highly recommend this establishment.

    We enjoyed our meal at Jing Yan. Our only complaint was it felt like there should of been a few more starter dishes, and some vegetable sides, or something to get greens into the meal. It felt way too protein forward. That said all the protein dishes were delicious, but the meal felt unbalanced, without something small to have with our cocktails, and then some way to have a sauteed green or two with our main courses, if that makes sense. The flavors were good.

    Cozy space, with delicious food, and excellent service. It was quiet enough to talk freely and yet had a good buzz and guest traffic. Our server was absolutely amazing. Special shoutout for not just noticing that our group was celebrating a birthday, but celebrating it with us in a very thoughtful and personal way.
