We are a Mom & Son owned restaurant located in the former Stratosphere building (one of Lombardi's favorites). We feature classic foods, all freshly made and locally sourced. Enjoy a hand-muddled Old Fashioned at our iconic bar, then dine overlooking our beautiful view. You'll find many new favorites on our menu also including gnocchi, coq au vin and walleye cheeks. You'll love our traditional Friday Fish Fry with a choice of cod or perch and we serve walleye and bluegill daily. Be sure to also put our popular Wine Wednesday and Wing Wednesday on your calendar. Don't forget the cheese curds...fried in our own light beer batter.

We chose this restaurant for an Easter lunch because it was centrally located and could take our group of 9. We were the only diners the whole time which should have been a red flag. The menu would be fine if the food was good but it was terrible. Some not edible. Might be ok to go for causal drinks and cheese curds but that would be all we would recommend here. Live and learn.

We were seated at a table and they moved us to another table after about 10 minutes because they had people who had requested that specific table for an hour later. Weird. We were there at 5:30 per our reservation, it took 20 minutes before they even took a drink order! And then another 20 minutes to get the drinks ( a tap beer, an old fashioned, and a vodka gimlet!!) When I said something about double bubble for the beer the waitress said it was after 6 and walked away! Unreal. Food was ok, price was reasonable but they need to learn some customer service. It was not very busy.

I would say , would love more options especially without bacon and more chicken options without cheese. Fries were amazing, would like more traditional soups. Recommend as a lunch place other than a Friday Fish fry place which others may enjoy. Main entrees were very good.

Hi Greg! We appreciate your valuable feedback. As we prepare everything fresh & made to order, please feel free to ask your server to leave off cheese or bacon as you like. We can do that! Also, we can substitute coleslaw if that's what you're in the mood for. And you're absolutely right, we are a great place for lunch or dinner. Lunch offers great daytime scenic views from the dining room, & evening is a little more candlelit and "vibey". Thank you, we look forward to seeing you again.

I was not familiar with the location. Based on the website it appeared very inviting. I was in town for an event at a nearby campus. Jimmy Simm's is the new business at a previously existing restaurant/bar. There is a sign at the entrance explaining business is new and renovations are underway. We arrived at the scheduled time, 5:30. Friendly waitress said we could sit anywhere, but suggested not using a specific table. Most tables needed to be cleaned although restaurant was not busy. Only a party of six at another table. A nice waiter provided us with drink and food menus. When I ordered a specific draught beer, he advised that was no longer available. Somewhat disappointing, but I was was able to get another good one. Waiter was a bit slow in taking order, but food and drink was delivered in a reasonable amount of time. Food was very good, especially for bar food, and staff was able to accommodate wife's diet restrictions. Waiter presented check promptly when requested. Waiter also loaded directions to next event on my phone.

Food was good, I just would like to say service could be a little better, they forgot one of our soups eventually brought it out after half way through her meal. After being seated, no one came for awhile so I think it was just lack of communication maybe?! but she did apologize so we were appreciative for that but then we a could had empty drinks they never asked if they wanted refills so we had to grab the waiter and ask. And one of the entrees were a lil cold so she had to return it. We will be back just wanted to give feedback and help your team continue to grow. Loved they all were very poultice and smiling!

Very disappointed with the service. We waited for over 20 minutes after being seated to be greeted or offered drinks. Then had to keep going up to the bar to get refills rather than our server checking back in with us.

I started with concern since I read the previous reviews after I made the reservation. This restaurant is very new and it is obvious by our experience is improving dramatically. We were 1/2 hour early for our reservation and our table already had the reservation sign on it. The drinks were great better than most we have experienced in other restaurants. The service was very friendly, prompt and professional. Both of us enjoyed our food, it was delivered as ordered and meet all our desires. We will be returning especially for their Friday seafood specials which were not available on Saturday. They were not crowded but when the restaurant is full, it will be noisy since all surfaces are hard. We prefer quiet dining which we did have with the crowd size they had.

My wife ordered the Coq au vin but it was not the authentic dish. It was a chicken breast with onion gravy on a huge pile of mashed potatoes. I ordered the perch but they brought me cod. The food tasted okay but they definitely have to work on their menu items and their service.
