   Honestly, save yourself the stress and find a different bar. This place is a prime example of don't believe what you see on instagram, there were only 2 other tables seated when we came in and still there was a pretty long wait for two drinks. Oh and the drinks? It's so sad to say it's probably the worst thing I've ever tried, it tasted like dirty dish water with alcohol it was just so bad we couldn't even bare the thought of drinking more than a sip. @22$ a drink I had pretty high expectations and I was just so let down.

    I was really disappointed in my experience at Jewel Thief. The best part was the atmosphere and look of the bar, after that, nothing was good. The service was exceptionally slow - we had a reservation, but it took them 15 minutes to find us a place to sit. Then, it took so long for a waitress to take our drink order, we started ordering at the bar. The drinks came out one at a time (after significant waiting), and weren't served as shown online. They were pretty drinks, but nothing spectacular. Many in my group ordered the One in a Billion and did not enjoy it at all. The DJ wasn't great, they kept stopping the music to get people to sing, they did that multiple times of just about every song. Lastly, the bill included excessive (20% or 22%) tip. For drinks that cost $22+ each and with slow service, I was prepared to pay about 10% ($2 or $3 per drink), but instead got stuck with an excessive bill. There was no way to enter my own gratuity and when I asked I was waived off.

    The cocktails were really good, and so was the service. However, please note you need to specifically ask for the smoky boxes and there is nothing on the menu indicating that. The crowd is either NYC transplants stuck in 2016 fashion trends or 35-40year olds who still think snapbacks are hot. So, if that’s ur crowd, power to you.

    This place was a complete disappointment. This place advertises having fancy cocktails that are delivered in smoking glass diamond votives and treasure chests and when I went none of that was the case. I asked the service to bring me any drink that had a fun presentation and she just brought me a purple drink in a coupe glass. Definitely did not live up to the hype and I would definitely choose someplace else next time.

    I didn't eat here, but it was a lot louder/party atmosphere than I realized it would be on a Saturday night at 10pm. I thought I was making a reservation for a sit down experience (there weren't tables/chairs reserved etc). It was more like a bar/club. It was still fun though, just depends what you are looking for!

    Drinks are way too sugery and are $25 and taste so cheap. The cocktail waitress was slow, rude and forgetful. My friend and I didn’t even drink our drink, paid over $50 still tipped 20% but the waitress just dropped our check off and picked it up without even looking or saying a word.     What the jewel thief advertises and what it really is couldn’t be more different. The bouncers made us wait until our entire party was present and proceeded to take us into a completely empty establishment. To make matters worse, they showed us a private room and then told us we couldn’t stay there because there was a private event happening. It was a sad version of the images they show online.     Great experience, very picturesque. Drinks are very strong so I was a little disappointed they didn’t have any light bites, only cocktails. I was surprised to see the entrance wasn’t hidden at all as it was portrayed that way online. Our waitress wasn’t too knowledgeable of the menu; However she was new. Overall I had a lot of fun.

    Made reservations two weeks in advance and about 12 Hours before my reservation the owner called to inform me that he had booked the place out for a private event and could no longer accommodate my booking. Probably not booking here again.

    Service was terrible. Drinks were overpriced and not very good. $25 for an average cocktail just doesn’t feel right. The menus were fake newspapers that should read Bartender Boosts Patrons. Spot looks nice. Too bad they think minimum wage is $65. This place will likely fail, get new ownership and then be worth checking out the second time around.

    Location was pretty cool. Drink menu was limited, pricey and honestly not worth it. Ended up switching to well known cocktails after just one of their custom drinks. Service was a mixed bag. Manager was friendly at first and seemed generally interested in chatting. Later in the evening he flat out started kicking people out of their seats mid drink to make room for reservations. Understandable to an extent but also handled in a very clumsy way. He also flat out lied about there not being live entertainment that night. As we walked out, costumed dancers were walking in. The place is nice, but the service definitely raised a lot of questions. I wouldn't be opposed to returning but also not rushing to come back.
