First time I've been back to eat in person since before quarantine and they haven't missed a beat. Food was great. Service was friendly and helpful.
Fantastic meal and service. So delicious. Thank you!
the food was absolutely delicious. it was spicy and fresh. We had never eaten Nepalese before and our waiter guided us through ordering so we were able to get a great overview of the cuisine. highly recommended. Can’t wait to go back.
Great service, wonderful food
Really good food, good price, nice setting inside, good service.
Very pleasant surprise in the neighborhood. We are always on the lookout for dumplings of different types and origins, and their Momos are amazing! Extremely tasty and filling, and yet not heavy or overwhelming. Staff members are awesome, professional and friendly but never intrusive or out of place. Definitely our new favorite restaurant!
My husband loved the food, and he usually isn’t a big fan of curry dishes. The service was excellent, and the portions were generous. It’s going to be our go-to when we are craving Nepalese/Indian food. So good!
Yummy food in a pretty room. Service was friendly and attentive—recommended!
This was a nice surprise...the food was tasty and authentic...drinks were good too...the ambiance was nice....Tibetan music and scenery...very soothing (except the screaming 4 year old who finally left😀). Enjoyed all our food selections...wasn’t interested in the desserts though. Will definitely be going back.
Family Valentine’s Day dinner, was perfect super yummy love the dividers for covid spacing.
There was a Nepalese Ritual to make us feel special. They also served us complimentary ice cream with candle on top :)
Food was great , so was the service. Drinks are also tasty and strong . Awesome experience all around. Will definitely be going back soon.
Food was excellent, very happy with how everything tasted . Only issue we had was when we asked for a few orders to go , the waitress had it sent to the table on plates . we reminded them it was to go beforehand . She said in Nepalese to her coworker that “she told us it was too much food & that we were making them do extra work .” I guess she didn’t realize my wife spoke Nepalese . Made my wife kind of uncomfortable .
Delicious as always!
Beautifully appointed restaurant, with excellent service and delicious food. Moreover, the fact that it's a unique restaurant with cuisine not generally found in the suburbs makes the experience more special.
What a surprise on Central Park Avenue! From the second we walked in we were hooked..the aromas, the decor, the friendly staff...all terrific....our food was delightful and everything was so flavorful....drinks were good too. We will definitely be back!
Delicious food and great service! Another great experience and will be sure to return again. Fantastic flavors with each dish, and very generous portions as well. All of the staff is attentive and responsive. If you’re looking for a great dinner, Jewel of Himalaya is a true gem!
Sophisticated ambiance and helpful staff to explain how Nepalese cuisine should be consumed
Consistently delicious, generous, flavorful with impeccable service and immaculate interior. The staff and owner take Covid seriously and ventilate well, tables about ten feet apart.
We love Himalaya. Never disappoints
My son took me here for my birthday lunch. So besides food and ambiance being top notch as usual, I was thoroughly surprised when staff approached with sparkler, gong and a gorgeous Tibetan scarf!! The sparkler candle was atop a delectable mango kulfi. I never order dessert-anywhere! That will now change at least in JOH!
Great ambience and delicious food with friendly service.
What a Jewel of a restaurant for fine Nepalese cuisine dining. Owner is most gracious making you feel welcome to his restaurant. The food is yummy and very tasty served in a professional manner. The restaurant is great for special occasions or romantic dining. You will truly enjoy dining at Jewel of Himalaya.
Always superb food and service! The drinks are delicious too! Try the Korma, Vandaloo and garlic naan YUM!
My husband and I love the food !!! He enjoys Indian food however most restaurants cannot make their dishes mild enough for him. Himalaya prepares his meals with the perfect amount of spices. We always have a wonderful dining experience there.
Delicious food and great service. Have eaten here several times and will keep coming back
Wonderful owner and very good food
This is our go to Indian style restaurant in lower Westchester. We’d been very unhappy with the selection of Indian restaurants in our area. The only good one we’d found was too expensive. Then we came across J of H. It’s really good. And even though it’s Himalayan rather than Indian, it’s pretty close very tasty food. Reasonably priced and the owner is a nice guy.
Wonderful food and celebration of 2 birthdays. Everyone was so attentive and helpful when the child was tired and felt overwhelmed
Celebrate good grades for teen
Food was delicious and they were willing to modify a dish for a dietary need.
Tasty food nicely presented in a nearly empty restaurant for an early dinner. Food was tasty Nepalese, and not the usual Indian fare. Great for a different approach.
pleasant atmosphere. They listen to your requests. Good food
This restaurant never disappoints. Food is always perfect. Started with pork chili, which was crispy and tasty. Vegetables were crisp and fresh. Ordered chicken korma, and chicken Makini. Both were equally delicious. One with a golden almond sauce, the other in a spicy red sauce. The nan was crispy and buttered yet soft and perfect. Love this place!
Dumplings are delicious
I love this restaurant not only for the consistently excellent food but for the magnificent ambience and friendly staff! The decor is exquisite and as a vegan I have many delicious options among a range of fish, chicken and meat choices that my husband so enjoys!! This restaurant has become my new go eatery!!
This has become our go to Indian style restaurant in the Scarsdale area. It has a slightly different taste than traditional Indian since it is Himalayan, but it’s pretty close. Everything is delicious. The service is routinely good. And the owner is very friendly. Been here about 5 times in 6 months. This fills a hole in the area which has lacked consistently good Indian restaurants.
Varied menu including Himalayan, Indian and even a few Chinese dishes. Reliable. Service a bit slow when it’s crowded but not intolerable.
Wonderful service, comfortable seating, good lighting, diverse menu and everything was very tasty. Entree portions are slightly small for the price. Very much looking forward to going back again.
Food is excellent. They really listen to what you ask for and cook food mild if that is what you want. Friendly and authentic. My favorite restaurant
