Jeune et Jolie
A Modern French Restaurant dedicated to celebrating the idea of a transportive dining experience, we are inspired by the unpretentious sophistication characteristic of modern French cuisine and a culture of genuine hospitality.
Very friendly, knowledgeable staff. Outside was comfortable and street noise minimal. I appreciated the servers suggestion for wine. The small plates were creative and delicious but could have been a bit larger. I plan to return and try some more of the dishes sitting at the bar for a quick meal.
Solid restaurant all around. Excellent Food, Service, and Ambiance
Amazing creativity..beautiful atmosphere and attentive and personal service!
All the food was great with the exception of the deserts, which were disappointing. Was about $100/person full in which wasn't bad for the quality. My first choice was the black cod, which was out, so I had the Iberico pork based on the server's recommendation. Wouldn't usually order this but it was great. Reports were the scallops were also very good. The presentations were outstanding and the food quite inventive.
This was our first visit to the restaurant. We made the drive down from San Clemente based off a recent review I had read claiming the restaurant as one of San Diego’s best new restaurants! Let me tell you, the food, ambiance and service did not disappoint! Patrick, our server had great energy and a wealth of knowledge about everything on the menu, including wine. We started with chilled Maine lobster, a selection from the raw menu. It was delicious and the presentation was fun! Then we ordered a very flavorful salad with pears, radish, blue cheese and walnuts which was a little on the small side but so, so good it gut us excited for the next course! For our main entrees we had the scallops and the cod, both excellent choices and again, packed with flavor. We had dessert as well, also a beautiful presentation and very tasty! I can’t wait for my next visit! I am dreaming of that chilled lobster and another glass of champagne!
It was my second visit and my friends first. We were rushed as we got there late due to rush hour traffic and had a previous engagement shortly after but our server knew our time line and got our food to us quickly. Loved the new fall menu.
Had been wanting to dine here for months and it exceeded my expectations! Our server was so wonderful and the food amazing. Dessert was my favorite! Can’t wait to go back!
We did the tasting menu for our anniversary and it was fantastic. The service and overall experience were exceptional as always!
They have really raised the bar for fine dining in North County but even more delightful is the new Monday night L'Ordinaire menu that features the same fantastic food, service and ambiance at a more modest prix fixe. We went for the first time and loved the whole experience - already booked it again for next month. A must try and lets you enjoy the beauty of Jeune et Jolie on a more regular basis.
All the staff was very friendly and personable. It was fun interacting with all of them. Our waitress was a pleasure!
Wow what an experience, the food is perfect every single time. The ambiance is wonderful and the decor to the detail is so well done. I celebrated my birthday with my friends and they helped make it the perfect night. Definitely my favorite restaurant at the moment!
Excellent North County restaurant. One of my top 5 restaurants in San Diego. Nice casual atmosphere with excellent food, drinks and service. You cannot go wrong with Jeune et Jolie.
Outside seating on State St was the only disappointment. Other than that we loved the food, wine and service.
Jeune et Jolie is ALWAYS lovely. This was my first time having brunch there, it was beyond delicious. I might make this my regular Saturday tradition
One of the best meals in San Diego.
The food was amazing and our server was professional and attentive to our needs. I went with the chef's tasting menu and my wife ordered from the menu. Presentation was excellent and quality of the food was wonderful. Highly recommend trying this restaurant.
Excellent food and service
Highly recommended,fine dining casual atmoshere
This was my second visit here this year. Both for special occasions. I could go on and on about how perfect this place is, but simply put - This place is truly a delicacy
Amazing, Excellent and Delicious! We felt like we were back in Paris!
From start to finish everything was ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The food was beautiful to look at but very small portions and expensive. There were no window coverings and the sun was uncomfortably shining in our eyes during dinner.
1st time there... the food was amazing; and great service as well.
First of all, the entire staff is on point! knowledgeable, professional, friendly and passionate about what they are serving.
The layout is awesome with the open kitchen and bar in the center. Super comfortable booths to dine in. The food is thoughtful, beautifully plated and delicious (layers of flavor)... The cheese course however, amazing cheeses that were served, but served cold. My only suggestion is please serve the cheese at room temp. We will definitely be back soon.
Stunning mussels, divine whole prawns, stupendous black cod, and yummy scallops. Although it is not primarily a seafood restaurant, this was some of the very best seafood I have had in years. The pace is unhurried, the service is attentive, and the whole experience is outstanding. True Five Star dining.
I went twice in one week. I love the three course prix fixe on Mondays. It's my new favorite place.
Very attentive staff and very knowledgeable server. One item was tough and they quickly removed it from the bill. Tables a little too close together.
Fabulous meal. Everything ordered was delish and on point. Our server Kayla was wonderful. From the oysters to bread service (baguette and milk bread-wow!!). Frog legs, salmon (first course), crudo. Perfection!! Main courses beef and black cod. Beef was cooked perfectly, cod flaky, moist. Ending was chocolate mousse with banana jam. Who knew this was a thing. Loved the combination. Very special.
excellent food excellent service the only disappointment was they were out of many items
We were greeted and seated for our reservation and waited upon immediately. They had plenty of staff and all were attentive. We had the Beignets and they were perfect, a bit of sweet and tangy with the rhubarb jam. We had the tartine with salmon and the croque madame sandwich (béchamel sauce a bit too salty) and both were great. Overall the experience was perfect and we will return.
Great service & fun menu. A bit pricey so sharing is fun to try other items.
Excellent dining experience and top notch customer service. So glad you have chosen North County! We will be back!
Excellent food & service. Our second time back to celebrate our birthdays! It was a great experience again. Looking forward to our next celebration!
We sat outside so the sound wasn’t too loud. However, we would not have enjoyed sitting inside. The acoustics were simply not appropriate for the haute cuisine and atmosphere they are trying to achieve. The food however was wonderful and the service superb. We will definitely come back and will make a point of sitting once again outside on the patio.
We come here often and it is consistently excellent.
Outstanding French cuisine in an upscale and informal setting. Outstanding value. High quality. Obviously a very happy staff.
We loved the food and service.
LOVED it! Will be back for sure :)
We had the l'ordinaire Monday menu was a great way to try a few things without breaking the bank.
Always a lovely time at J&J!!!
Pretty limited menu.
The scrambled eggs were more overdone than we would have liked and the croque was not toasted enough.
But, all else was delightful
Very rich French food, small portions beautifully plated with unique flavors and ingredient combinations. We had seats at the counter which was less comfortable than the tables and somewhat awkward, would recommend requesting a table. Otherwise, a unique dining experience in a lively, bright, energetic setting. Great for a special occasion.
