Like the food and drink, Jerry's itself was rebuilt, brick by brick, by craftsmen with a profound respect for heritage. It incorporates a rich collection of architectural treasures, culled from historic buildings around Philadelphia. The result - old school elegance and refinement, where every brick, column, cobble stone, marble slab, door and fixture has a story to tell.
Jerry's Bar is new in an old way, to be savored and sipped slowly, rooted in simple pleasures that are as fresh as they are timeless.
Great meal, beer and service!!
I brought friends here and was disappointed in the overall service.
Great vibe. Awesome location, especially if you’re attending a show at the Fillmore as we were. Great ambiance, nice live duo playing in the bar. We liked the limited menu as opposed to endless offering that can’t all be fresh. We’ll be back as we found Jerry’s to be delicious, friendly, and reasonably priced.
Food was good. My friend and I asked for a sample of two beers each and they only brought out two sample glasses and expected us to share. Soup came out with main dish and didn’t have spoons while one person didn’t have food at all for 5 minutes longer.
Everyone enjoyed the food but agreed service was poor.
After having several great brunch meals here, my wife and I decided to give Jerry's a shot for Valentine's Day. Unfortunately, we did not have the same experience for dinner than we have in the past for brunch.
The seating arrangements were baffling to me - the place is pretty big with a second floor and an enclosed patio in addition to the main dining area, yet we were sat practically on top of the neighboring tables. For a special Valentine's Day dinner, one would think intimacy would be somewhat of a priority. The tables were so crammed that it was a struggle to get up and out, having to walk all the way around other tables because they were so close together. So close in fact, that our server ended up dumping a good amount of the "sauce" that came with my main dish all over me while attempting to set down my plate. Absolutely a normal human error, but certainly not pleasant.
Then there was the food - for some reason, the waitress took our app and food orders at the same time, resulting in our apps coming out about 2 minutes before our mains. This wouldn't be a huge deal if it wasn't for the fact that our table was so small and cramped that we could barely fit two plates at once (see above about the sauce spill.) In short, we barely had a chance to touch our apps before the main dishes were served. Not great.
The food itself was decent, at least my wife's entree and soup were. Our Duck Eggroll app was fine if not a bit cold, but given that our entrees came right after they were placed on the table, they only got colder. I ordered the pan-seared halibut and aside from most of the sauce being on my lap, it was EXTREMELY salty. Such a shame because the fish was cooked perfectly and the sides were wonderful.
All in all, we were very disappointed. For how much money we paid, we expected service and food that matched. I don't think we'll be going back outside of Brunch anytime soon.
Everything about our Taco Tuesday at Jerry’s was amazing! Food and drinks were delicious, prices were reasonable, and service was great! I was here with a group of my girlfriends and our server Hailey did a great job making us feel welcome and accommodating our complicated and disorganized ordering! I’d recommend to anyone!
I love Jerry's for brunch and live music. When you sit upstairs the music level is perfect.
Food was good. Drinks were good. Our waitress was “off”. Just really a weird experience.
Cozy, not too loud and good service. Menu is simple but perfect for our group of 7 guys. Drink sizes were generous.
Food was decent, nice clean space. Good musicians playing music. Service was terrible. Even after several attempts to correct the order, they still couldn’t get it right.
We went for the Sunday jazz brunch. The music was delightful. The ambiance was inviting. The service was good. The food was AMAZING. Everything was seasoned to perfection. Even our 7 year old cleared her plates of pancakes, bacon, and eggs. We will definitely be back!
Jerrys had great food especially the sticker bun!!! soooo delicious!! they also had a jazz band playing which was very nice and relaxing! ill be back!
Delicious food. Great atmosphere.
Stopped in before going to the Fillmore - within walking distance. Great food and wonderful atmosphere.
Great local restaurant and bar. The staff is super knowledgeable and the bartender had just the right touch for bar patrons. Sunday was our second visit, and the brunch food was fantastic. Parking is always a challenge and by the area, but be patient.
Drinks and food were fabulous. We needed a spot close to Punchline and we picked the right one!
Stopped in for dinner before a show at the Fillmore and everything was top notch. Rachel was excellent, attentive, pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu. We were pleasantly surprised to find out Happy Hour is actually 5-7 and not 4-6 as advertised on your website. My sister and I ordered the two available specials, sea bass and scallops, they did not disappoint. The Happy Hour offerings are excellent. Oysters were fresh and clean. They also have live music and the 2-man band did a great job playing an eclectic selection of music. Fabulous spot!
Food was bland for the price. Service was poor. Drinks ran empty with our server missing. We were never told what cheese was on our cheese board and when we asked the server had no idea. Dishes came out too fast and couldn’t even fit on our table. The whole experience was off.
Vibe is great. Warm, clean, inviting bar/restaurant with a good level of energy. Not too loud to hold a conversation, but not dead either. Food is very good, upscale comfort food. Only reason this isn't straight five stars is that the cocktails are on the smaller side for the price.
We had never been here before
We found the staff friendly and knowledgeable
We enjoyed the menu selections as well and the wine
W look forward to returning
This place used to be a gem, but is now limping by with below average service and a dining room annex with terrible decor that looks like leftovers from a Disney ride. It used to split the difference between corner bar and upscale restaurant, but now is just a bar with overpriced food and televisions everywhere. I would've preferred to go to North 3rd, which at least doesn't pretend. The food is still very good, but the value just isn't there.
Jerry’s is my all time favorite bar in philly. Get the fried chicken sandwich! We went on New Year’s Eve so it was a tad noisy but often go on normal days and it’s great.
Love Jerry's Brunch! Great food, service, drinks and live music. We had a great visit with our friends who were new to the place. Vivian was an outstanding server! (Note for OpenTable: For some reason my reservation was acknowledged but was not visible to the restaurant. Jerry's took care of us, so please work this out for them if you can.)
The restaurant was not crowded, but the service was very slow. The waitress was attentive, but the food took a long time to arrive and the restaurant was not crowded. The food was decent, but nothing special. The atmosphere is very nice.
A little empty on a Sunday night in the summer. Good casual food at a city price. The music is what I have on my playlists but it was too loud to have group conversations, on the other hand, it would be better for dates because of leaning in to converse.
Great overall experience - food and waitstaff get a thumbs up- will ge back.
Very friendly staff. Excellent meal. Recommend the Incredible Burger?
Meat was undercooked, vegetables too salty, and potatoes cold. Should probably stick to drinks and appetizers.
Overall very good, and generally a big fan of the place, BUT coffee cream was spoiled and got a caffeinated instead of decaf at the end of the meal.
Waited 20 mins to get a drink while sitting at the bar. Took 4 people to make my drink and it was overpriced. Ended up leaving and going somewhere else to eat.
Our waitress, Amy, was very patient with us as we caught up before ordering. The food was great!
Great Food, Terrific Server made the evening
My prime rib melted in my mouth it was so good and I asked for asparagus instead of the mac n cheese. The waitress boxed the mac and cheese for me, which I fed to my children. My husband enjoyed his meal of crab ravioli and our friends enjoyed their swordfish and BBQ ribs. It was a wonderful evening and we will be back.
Food was inconsistent. Gnocchi was way overcooked and borderline inedible but steak was perfect. Everything in between
The food at Jerry's NEVER disappoints. There is something on the menu for everyone and it is always delicious. However, I've dined at Jerry's 5 times now and the service is ALWAYS slow. The staff is always friendly; however, there appears to be an under-staffing issue as the servers always seem stretched across large sections and the food takes way too long to come out. At my most recent visit, 2 out of 5 entrees were brought out 10-15 minutes after the first 3 and it took over 20 minutes to order a second drink.
Went here for father's day and it was great. The food was delicious and atmosphere was very relaxing. We love Jerry's Bar for brunch.
Jazz brunch was perfect. Nice corner table in the back. Music great. Food really good
Nice Alternative to North 3rd and few other Norther Liberties spots. First time here for Father's Day Brunch and it did not disappoint. Good drink menu, very attentive hostess, good food and beer selection, nice bar and outside seating.
Friendly bartender who knows how to make an Old Fashioned! Plus plus for me after brunch
What you expect from good corner restuarant bar. Place was very clean and we enjoyed live jazz
Will come back again!
Good food, great service. I've been there for brunch a few times now, there may not be a lot of options food-wise, but what they have is tasty. I will most likely go again and definitely recommend it.
