Jeong was fantastic from beginning to end!
Amazing amazing amazing! The food, service, ambiance. 10/10
Excellent. It’s a welcoming vibe with excellent food. We did the tasting menu and every dish excited our palettes. Got an superb wine recommendation that complemented the menu perfectly. We had a phenomenal dining experience.
One of the best culinary experiences I’ve had in Chicago! Reasonable price for the prix fix menu. Delicious food and great vibe overall.
Fantastic experience - every bite reminded me of a memory of my mother. We’ll be back soon to try the tasting menu.
Really, the best restaurant in Chicago right now. The most humble, talented, deserving chefs across the board. Simple review, best place to dine for a consistently artful, tasteful and tasty experience.
Most amazing meal of the year. Jeong is our favorite in the city. David is a true artist. Every bite of the mandu, sashimi, rice cakes, and the kalbi was like magic in my mouth. Honestly, the best experience. And Jen, the hostess and co-owner is just delightful. Love Jeong!
Best meal we had in Chicago. Food was beautifully served and finely crafted. Should not be missed on any visit to the city.
Great meal and wonderful service in a beautiful space!
Jeong is a gem on the Chicago culinary scene! Loved every minutes spend there and every bite I tried! The staff is very attentive and made the experience very personable. Very nice fusion twist of the traditional Korean food. Highly recommend!
Innovative dishes prepared with fresh ingredients in a relaxed but upscale environment with very good service.
The experience is right up there with what was once, Grace. Amazing. We did the tasting menu and cannot wait to return. So good.
Jeong continues to be a favorite restaurant. Dining here is always a super enjoyable evening. Interesting, well executed delicious tasting food from the first bite through dessert. The staff is so warm and really elevates dining experience. The dining room is elegant but very comfortable and laid back. Can't wait to return!
Jeong is culinary perfection. The ambiance is elegant minimalism. We had the tasting menu (regular and 1 vegetarian) - We cleaned our plates for every course! Each item was a great mixture of flavors and texture. The service was impeccable. The owner stopped by to say hello and even remembered it was my husband's birthday (which I had emailed her about, but that was the only mention). Jeong has the balance of being fancy without be pretentious. Congratulations on your 1st year and look forward to visiting again!
First time here and would definitely go back. Got the tasting menu which did not disappoint. The salmon tartare!!!
Excellent food, mediocre drinks, casual service, nice space, good price.
Wonderful ambience with great staff and delicious food.
Near perfect dining experience. Not a bad dish on the menu, excellent and innovative cocktails, dessert was on point
Absolutely delicious. Great service, and the pacing of the courses is perfect.
This is a great and affordable fine dining experience. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. I can’t wait to return and try more dishes.
The best dining experience we’ve had in years. It’s a travesty that Jeong did not receive a Michelin star this year. The owners are gracious and super talented, the entire staff follows suit. Chicago is lucky to have Jeong as part of our already multi cultural food scene!
Absolutely one of the best restaurants in town. Blown away by the broccoli, the salmon tartare, the short ribs, the scallops and more. And the tasting menu is a mere $87, which is a compelling value. Don't be put off by the Korean name - there's no bimbimbop here - this is fine dining in a casual setting that delivers American dishes with Korean flavor accents.
Warm and friendly service, passionate about their food. Magical flavors!
We tried the entire ala Carte menu between four of us, recommended by our hostess
It was phenomenal experience
This is one of the best places we have been to lately. Anniversary dinner and service was beyond great and food was delicious
Jeong was one of the best meals we have had in a long time! The tasting menu is innovative and delicious, and we couldn't help but add a few extras. Each bite was heaven and the wine was just as good as the food!
Good Korean food with a slight twist. However, many of the stuff still has very traditional and authentic aspects to it. Everything that was ordered was phenomenal.
This was one of the best dining experiences my partner and I have had. The lady running the restaurant was so kind and friendly. She gave us drinks on the house because we had to wait due to poor weather conditions and other parties showing up late. The food was fantastic! We would definitely go back!
This is hands down the best restaurant I've been to in Chicago in the past year. The tasting menu is well worth it, and they will accommodate vegetarian diners. The service is absolutely perfection-- personalized, professional, good humored and sophisticated. The sound track is controlled by the kitchen and reflects the mood in there, making the experience even more intimate
Food was average, no standout dishes. Certainly didn’t live up to the hype or expectations and shocked that it was anywhere near critics’ best of lists. Fine if you’re in the neighborhood but no reason to go out of your way.
Very innovative dishes, a great server, and a fun evening.
Really excellent. Biggest problem is figuring out what to eat. Pretty much every selection on both the tasting and a la carte menus seems delicious on paper and most every one we chose exceeded those high expectations. Prices are such that you can sample a lot of stuff and have a few exceptional cocktails as well. The small space doesn't feel cramped but it does get loud when full. Even though "casual" is directed, you may want to make a small effort to match up to the look and taste of the food. Sure both the tuna and steak tartare are done gorgeously and deliciously but branch out and get shocked by the broccoli and sweet potato based dessert. Only the crispy octopus (very reminiscent of a certain poultry nugget) failed to impress except for the sauce/garnish. Really want to go back and try everything we couldn't this time. Menu is broken into tasting menu (with aforementioned tartares), and 3 part a la carte (cold, hot and entrée then dessert) each with 3 choices so hopefully it changes every so often for more reasons to go back.
One of the best restaurants in the city. Great place to celebrate a special occasion.
Fabulous! From start to finish, cocktails, service and food was excellent. Fine dining in a more casual setting. You feel comfortable, yet you know you are about to enjoy something special. I cannot wait to go back.
Really enjoyed the tasting menu this time; the dishes were delicious and beautifully composed.
Went for my birthday dinner and found the setting to be lovely, the atmosphere to be very relaxed but also professional. The food was beautiful and delicious. We had the tasting menu for both food and wine and found it to be worth every penny.
It was a birthday
Wow! This was one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in a long while. We went for an early New Year’s Eve dinner, and opted for the ala carte menu. First we ordered five dishes to share, all fantastic, but a little small. My husband was still hungry. Rather than order dessert, we ordered another savory dish (as they were all sooo good) and were very happy. Everything was delicious, but our favorites were the salmon tartar from the prix fixe menu, the mandu, and the short ribs. The sauces and garnishes are all unique and so good I was ready to lick the plates. Service was great, although we did think the fishes came out a little fast. Not an inexpensive evening, but highly highly recommend.
Jeong food is spectacular! The best restaurant in Chicago.
