Just perfect. The place, the service, the food, the drinks, everything is perfect. The best Korean food in town. My favorite was the salmon tartar
This was one of my favorite dining experiences ever. The ambiance, service, and food were all flawless. Even the soap/lotion in the restrooms were amazing! Perfection!
Every course in the seven-course tasting menu was terrific. And the accompanying wines were also great, although the pours seemed a little small.
Outstanding restaurant. Fantastic tasting menu and wonderful service. Never disappoints
Best restaurant in the city—a real hidden gem. Each time we go—and we’ve gone a lot—it keeps getting better.
The food and service is always outstanding at Jeong! Each course is flavorful and delicious! The wine pairing complements each dish perfectly! It is always a treat to go there!
My husband and I had an amazing time at Jeong. The restaurant has a very warm and welcoming ambience. The seven course menu was delicious. Every plate was incredibly thoughtful and beautifully presented. Lovely servers. One of the best set menus I have ever experienced.
Best meal I have had in a very long time, maybe ever, and economical relative to many other tasting menus.
Great experience. Every course was fantastic. The salmon tartare is my reason for coming back.
An entirely excellent experience. An intimate and elegant restaurant perfect for conversation and enjoyment of the delicious courses that appear before your eyes. The service is impeccable without being stuffy. The flavors are subtle and refined. An excellent all around experience.
This was a fantastic experience in every possible way. Exquisite food, unbelievably friendly staff, gorgeous presentation, and…quiet!!!!!
The food was sublime. One of the best meals I have ever had anywhere.
It was one of the excellent experiences. We haven’t had date night as well as time with good friends. We had double date night and everything was perfect. I will definitely go back.
My girlfriend and I went to Jeong for our 2 years anniversary. The food was amazing, the service was great, I would definitely recommend this place.
Jeong's tasting menu was a dining experience I won't soon forget! Every single course was dynamic, surprising, and absolutely delicious. The staff was incredibly attentive and welcoming. I would recommend Jeong to anyone who enjoys good food and good vibes.
Absolutely amazing! One of our absolute best dining experiences. Brilliant creative food, gracious impeccable service, and lovely ambiance. Jeong is one of Chicago's best restaurants. Overdue at least one Michelin star!!!!!
One of our most favorite Restaurants. This is the fourth time that we dined in, and it is always a great time! We’ve never felt disappointed. The quality of food and the service has been consistently amazing, which you may not find in many other restaurants. Do try The wine pairing, they have one of the most exciting wine selection to pair with the scrumptious food. If you don’t love Jeong, we don’t know where else you would be happy :D
Excellent and beautifully presented food. Wine pairings were good but felt pretty safe, nothing surprising.
Jeong is one of our favorite restaurants in the city. The service is as impressive as their food. They make us feel like special VIP guests every visit. Perfect for date night or special occasion.
Wow, not one miss at all. Every course was spectacular. It would be impossible to choose our favorite. The wine parings were spot on.
I hope jeong makes it through the long haul. Excellent service and unique dishes.
One of the best tasting menu’s in Chicago! We came here for my husband’s birthday and everyone was so friendly and attentive. The flavors and textures of each dish was well thought out and just exquisite. We cannot wait to be back!
Todo delicioso. Una experiencia sorprendente
This restaurant serves perhaps the best food I have eaten in Chicago. The service is outstanding and, to the joy of a European, they have quite good wines. We also enjoyed their sake.
We had the tasting menu and it was phenomenal! We can't wait to try Jeong again! The staff was truly kind and attentive, taking the time to explain the dish and how to best enjoy. It was a great way to celebrate my wife's birthday.
It was incredible. The seared scallop with trout roe was like we’ve ever had! And the black sesame chocolate cake too. Service was amazing, so warm and lovely. We had a great night, can’t wait to go back!
Jeong in a nutshell: The room is stunning; the service is warm the food is amazing. I’ve enjoyed Jeong many time (enthusiastically), but always find a new surprise each time I visit.
Last night’s tasting was a great reminder of new surprises. As a reminder, at the moment Jeong has no a la carte menu, so you put yourself in the hands of Chef Dave Park and enjoy the ride. This is definitely a good thing — cause Chef Dave knows how to drive!
* Mul Hwe (spicy fish soup) with kanpachi gazpacho and Korean melon is a stunning start — bright and refreshing and tartness from the melon. Don’t let the “spicy” scare you — it’s just the right amount of warmth
* Salmon tartare — one of the most talked about and loved dishes in Chicago…for good reason. Just the right amount of lush + crunch + tart
* Scallop with clementine beurre blanc, spinach namul and roe. Without question the best scallop sear I’ve found in my life
* Mandu dumpling — this is where the spice engine gets revved up. It’s fantastic. I could eat 50.
* Wagyu and omelet — the most amazing steak & eggs. An elevated classic
*. Pear, Korean yogurt, lemon — a new “surprise” as Chef Dave evolves the menu. Delicious.
* Barley / Chocolate — another new dessert. Chef is known for his savory creations, but he’s a dessert phenom too.
Jeong was an exceptional dining experience. The service was friendly, helpful, and just extra mile in working with us. The food was exceptional - all seven courses were balanced in flavors and textures. The environment is lovely and relaxing.
I highly recommend Jeong. I can't say enough good about the staff and their service. The exceptional food, wine, and environment were elevated by their knowledge and warmth.
The food is absolutely fantastic. Best Salmon tartare I’ve ever had. The Waygu steak with caramelized onion and shiitake mushroom purée lit up my mouth like the 4th of July. It’s expensive, but worth every penny. Go.
Awesome! Awesome! Awesome!
So lovely. The food, the presentation, the service!! Absolutely recommend
One of the absolute best restaurants around. It’s so rare to find a place that does fine dining with an authentic Asian influence and does it so well.
This restaurant is exceptional. All the dishes were beautifully prepared and delicious
The food was innovative and fresh take on Korean flavors. We really enjoyed our dinner experience !
Clear Korean flavors with an elevated twist wrapped in an unstuffy, fine dining experience. I would highly recommend.
What a gem. We love this restaurant. Celebrated our sons birthday. Servings are a little on the small side, especially for hungry young men. Very creative takes on Korean food. Elegantly served.
Service was very friendly, but very slow to take off. It took a good 15 minutes from we were seated before we were acknowledged by a server. We did get water but sort of strange to sit so long without a menu or a greeting.
We noticed some tables got excellent service and our neighbor table were offered a second serving of the main course so we had thought we would as well, especially since all the men at our table were still hungry. Some of the descriptions to us for the food was lacking but then we eavesdropped with our neighboring table, who seemed to get all the attention the other tables lacked. We did the wine pairing which was very interesting, but it is disappointing that the wine is not poured at the table and we cannot see the bottles and labels. Hopefully that will be better next time.
The ambience was very nice and one of the nicest in Chicago. With a setting so intimate it was annoying that our neighbor table decided to loudly facetime/skype with other people. Not the fault of the restaurant but it does affect the experience of other patrons.
We will be back - the food is totally worth it, and we hope that the service will be more on par with the rest of the experience next time.
Aloha, “Yobs” from Hawaii visiting Chicago for first time. Had to try the 2 high-end restaurants and got a few more in our week here. Jeong had great Yelp reviews and we we’re happy we went. Nice wine pairing with dishes. Mahalo
We celebrated my brother's bday at Jeong and it was such a wonderful experience! All the staffs were so welcoming and pleasant. The food was outstanding. The ambiance was very enjoyable- dimmed, spaced out enough that you don't over hear the neighbors next to you, and love the decors. The only thing that was unexpected was that the menu on OpenTable is differ from when we arrived (I always check due to allergies) but they double confirmed about allergies and because the menu was different, I really enjoyed the surprise! They even celebrated MY bday also which is at the end of the month and gave me a delicious gift to take home (along with my bro, of course)! Not only is Jeong decadent, but everyone there is so passionate about their customers and in what they do. We highly recommend and will be returning soon! :)
FANTASTIC,, The owners are sweet, kind and truly care about the quality of food
being presented to the clients. This is a romantic, cozy atmosphere to celebrate any 'special occasion. Servers are amazing and you will never be disappointed.
LOVE, LOVE, this restaurant.......
Jeong isn’t just a restaurant, it’s an experience! The evening begun with a bubbly warm greeting from the hostess. The restaurant is very small, about 8 tables so the atmosphere is very intimate. The menu is a pre fixed tasting which makes it so simple and uncomplicated. Each course was brought out and described to us in detail. The food was beautiful and so interesting and delicious! It’s the best meal and experience I’ve ever had. Don’t miss Jeong!!!
