Jeung is my favorite special-occasion restaurant in Chicago. The menu and atmosphere and service are Michelin quality -- why this restaurant has been overlooked for a star is a mystery. The longstanding dishes, especially the seafood dishes are standouts. I found some of the newer dishes this time around to be a bit heavily salted/unbalanced, but still delicious. I also love the music they play -- every time I am there I hear familiar tunes from year ago and new sounds that compel me to pull out my phone and "Shazam" them.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening at Jeong, thanks to the chef’s thoughtful tasting menu and the attentive, professional service throughout. The ambience was calm, intimate, and ideal for a relaxed dinner, offering a sense of privacy that enhanced the overall experience. The eight-course menu, including two desserts, was well-balanced and flavorful. It opened with a comforting Bugeoguk, rich in umami and depth. The salmon tartare stood out with its delicate seasoning and creamy crème fraîche, while the scallop with butter sauce was luxuriously rich and satisfying. A surprising yet successful pairing was the corn grits with duck confit, offering an inventive twist on texture and flavor. The final savory course—Australian wagyu with carrot velouté—was a refined, hearty finish before transitioning into dessert. The cocktails were refreshing and well-matched to the meal. For dessert, both the Bokbunja and Dalgona brought out citrusy, creamy notes with distinct elements that complemented each other without overlapping. Overall, the team did an excellent job delivering a modern Korean fusion experience. We would highly recommend Jeong to anyone looking for a thoughtful, contemporary take on Korean cuisine.

This was our 4th visit to Jeong, and they just keep getting better. Lots of menu changes this time, everything was delicious (the dalgona dessert was a knockout). Service is always kind, efficient, and knowledgeable. Can’t wait for round 5!!

Beautiful experience from the moment we walked in until we left. The service is super attentive and friendly without being overbearing. Food is outstanding. Setting is lovely and quiet enough to enjoy a conversation. While the meal was not inexpensive, for the quality of the food and how full we were when leaving this place is a good value for a very special occasion. Will definitely be back. So grateful this place is in my neighborhood!

Jeong is a hidden gem in West Town, with delicious food, a charming and romantic atmosphere, and friendly staff. Jen is always welcoming and caring and makes you feel like family when you dine there.

We have been to Jeong many times over the past 6 years. The quality of the food and the excellence of the service never disappoints. Their hospitality is as good as it gets and for us is the best in the City. We simply love this restaurant and highly recommend a visit.

Absolutely amazing experience! The food was outstanding- different flavors and textures just exploding on the palate. And the hospitality of the entire staff from front of house to the chefs was just so sincere and warm. We cannot wait to come back!

Excellent tasting menu. Eight courses (including dessert and “pre-dessert”) was more than enough food for us - they look small but they are filling. The duck and beef dishes were quite rich and I could not finish them both, because I wanted to save room for dessert. Quiet, elegant, great spot for special dates. Delicious flavors!
