Live music inside wasn't piped to outside speakers, so we had overlapping music. Then a bird dropped on our table, just killed the moment lol Spinach dip was tasty & pork chop was beyond juicy. Great food.

Very nice layout. Would like to come back and sit outside on a nicer night. My son’s oxtail and my wife’s salmon were delicious. My pork chops were good but not great.. I prefer Italian style-breaded and smothered in garlic/oil and seared... will try something else on the menu next time, but overall it was a comfortable setting and even the two piece band that played during dinner was good. Impressive outdoor patio. The only thing I’d change about the room would be to add some high end booths. It felt a little too “cafeteria-like”, but maybe I’m nitpicking. I just would like to see more high end places in the SW suburbs, and this place, in my opinion, is good now but has the potential to be so much more.

We went to Jens for Mother’s Day. It was very loud and it took a while to get our food, but that is to be expected on that day. The food was great, we will come again on a quieter day.

I went for Mother’s Day and the food and ambience were great. The host was professional, accommodating and a gentleman. I do wish there was some sort of dress code for the guests. There were several patrons at different tables from different parties in sweatshirts, hoodies or jeans. Most of the patrons were dressed appropriately for the white table cloth dinner. Although I do understand this is not old courtwrights and it does not have a Michelin star. The slot area in the old coat room and guest tarot reader advertising seem out of place. This is a wonderful restaurant set beautifully, they should be themselves and not try to cater to what makes cash quick it might reestablish some of the shine of the old restaurant.

We went on Mother's Day for dinner. We were seated close to our reservation time and all the ladies in our group of 9 got flowers which was nice. The dining room was beautiful. There was a special menu which had plenty of choices and options. We felt that the arrangement of tables and service was really unprepared for Mother's Day. We were seated toward the back and the table arrangements were so long that the "aisle" could only be one way. So if a big party was exiting, our server couldn't get through. Several of us went a long time with no refill or second bar drink and we finally had to have another server get our waitress. When we got our food, my steak was well done when I ordered medium rare. I usually don't send food back, but the meat was really done and since I was spending that kind of money, I wanted it right. The server was gracious about that. Once we ate, the crowd had thinned out a bit so we got dessert and bill more promptly. I would return but NOT on any type of holiday. I was really disappointed with the service and table set-ups...

I take some responsibility for my lack of enjoyment. I made the reservation on OpenTable for Mother's Day and only looked at the menu posted on OpenTable. If I had gone directly to the restaurant's site I would have seen there would be a Mother's Day brunch (buffet) instead of their regular menu. Aside from Vegas, it's difficult to produce quality food for a buffet. All that said, we received food of less quality than Golden Corral but at double the price. I also sent my water and soda back several times due to food floating in the glass. It was an unfortunate experience but like most mothers, my wife simply enjoyed spending time with the family.

We’ve dined here before without any problems BUT Mother’s Day and a private children’s baptism party collided in terms of noise levels and table seating.
We dropped almost $400 to be crunched in a sideroom with apology of the chaos to avoid the running of the children and the noise level of the party.
Then another large party that was originally scheduled for basement was accommodated in the side room and then they moved the 20? people from behind us to the main room with the other party. This involved breaking down tables and chairs and they created a VERY narrow space for servers and patrons to use in this tight maze of tables built around us.
The focus of the evening was unfortunately turned to the chaos and the being almost completely blocked into this room.
Again, we’ve dined here before with wonderful service and delicious food.
If we would have known what terrible noise and table breakdown, set up and all the navigational interruptions at our table of “oh, excuse me” would be happening during
our ENTIRE dinner, we would have made a peaceful dinner for Mom at home.
Note to Mgmt - when you realized what was happening in and out of your control, you needed to stop and get a handle over all of it. This was a $4.00 experience not a $400.00 one.

Met some friends and enjoyed an amazing experience in the bar before dinner and then during dinner. We had everything from the amazing fried chicken, to steaks and lobster, along with multiple bottles of top notch wine. The foods is incredible and the wait staff kept us happy and enjoyed in on the fun.

Friends and I had dinner here Saturday evening. We arrived a half hour earlier than our reservations, and were still seated promptly (which we appreciated). The wait staff was very attentive, and our meal was delicious. The atmosphere was great; got even better as dusk set in because our table was near the windows, and we could see the lit outdoor patio and the wooded landscape. Beautiful! The only slightly negative thing I will say is that the noise level was quite elevated. In order to converse, we had to talk above the tables near us (so we then added to the "energy").

This was our second visit to Jens. We had an enjoyable experience both times. This time I had the scallops, which were incredibly delicious. My husband had the salmon. He liked it but thought it somewhat dry. I shared some of the sauce on my plate and his comment was that the sauce or another would have been great on his salmon.
The one thing that was disconcerting was the lack of attention that our waitress showed us. Did not bring us any bread. No one asked if we wanted ground pepper on our salad. Did not come back to ask if we wanted another round of drinks, did not come back to inquire if all was ok with our meal, etc. she did however hover over several tables around us where there were larger groups. I would hate to think that we were pretty much ignored because she thought our bill and her tip would be lower because there were only 2 of us rather than a larger group
We dine out often and bad service can ruin an otherwise great meal.

Solid American menu prepared deliciously! Jen's (in the former Courtright's facility) offers basic steaks, chops, fried chicken, ribs, and seafood with traditional sides.

We went there for my birthday and were fortunate to have a balmy evening, so we chose to sit in the outdoor patio. Food was excellent. My wife said that this was the bast fried chicken ever, and she's tried some of the best. My BBQ ribs fell off the bones without being mushy— again, on par with the best BBQ specialty houses.

Service was natural and fully attentive, without being intrusive. Even the other guests were friendly and laid back. As a finale, they brought out a slice of cheesecake with a candle for me. It was second only to my wife's cheesecake, better than the cheesecake at the restaurant with that name!

We will definitely be going back regularly. Next time I'm going for the ribeye.

It was our first time dining here. Great experience start to finish. Welcoming, great views of landscape, service attentive but not over bearing. Cocktails perfectly prepared. Nice wine selection. Appetizer and entree’s all nicely presented and very very good. We have waited too long to dine there. It will be come a regular “go to” for us going forward.

Jen's Guesthouse is worth going to just for the gorgeous setting facing forest preserve woods beyond the terraced large patio. Food selections are varied and well prepared. One of my favorites is the parmesan crusted sea scallops with risotto and lemon cream sauce. Six scallops are cooked perfectly, risotto is creamy and full of flavor, and the lemon cream sauce is light with just a hint of lemon. All entrees come with complimentary warm crusty bread and a choice of soups or salad.

I have bern there several times for lunch also. It is a great place for a quiet lunch with friends or a business lunch.

There is a smaller side room for a group meal or event. There is also a nice sized bar area near the entrance.

I highly recommend this restaurant.

We moved to Willow Springs and have ate here for lunch. We went out for our anniversary and the food was amazing as usual. They gave us a anniversary card and whomever we seen (Hostess and waitress) both wished us a happy anniversary. (Thank you!) Would highly recommended Jens to anyone for date, special occasion, weekly night out, and/or any occasion. We did bring our son but will be going out next time without the kids to enjoy a more Romantic evening!

Went here for dinner on someone’s recommendation. The service was poor both times we ate here. Several diners came after us and were served first. We only tried it again because we had a gift card. The food was ok but overpriced. We won’t be returning for an overpriced meal & extremely poor service.
