Not up to the usual Jeffrey’s standards. Waited several weeks for a weekend reservation and have had a better steak at many local restaurants. Ambiance is great but the food should be at the same caliber.
This place was absolutely amazing. The servers and the FOOD. I think it’s the best place I have gone in Austin. The drinks and food were incredible.
My girlfriend and I were celebrating our anniversary and we both had an incredible time. At the recommendation of my brother as one of his favorite spots in Austin, Jeffrey’s did not disappoint.
Service was excellent. Never had to nurse an empty glass of water, drink orders were taken and served promptly.
Truffle deviled eggs were amazing. The beef tartare tarte was excellent and incorporated so many explosions of different flavors that meshed together perfectly. We were a little disappointed with the lump crab avocado toast but that was just a tiny skid mark on an otherwise perfect night.
The 8oz wagyu tenderloin we both had was perfectly cooked and tender. And for dessert, we got to order an off the menu espresso martini that was really just the cherry on top of the entire meal.
I would whole heartedly recommend Jeffrey’s to anyone looking for a romantic date spot. Incredible food, ambiance, and service. Definitely going back!
Well, a different day, a different experience. Jeffrey's has been our go-to for coat and tie dress up fine dining since 2009. Our prior reviews bear that out. No longer. We fired Jeffrey's tonight.
They no longer hold their restaurant and patrons to a standard of dress and decorum. And if I am to spend almost $200/person dining out, I am not wasting it here anymore. Instead, we will enjoy the awesome restaurants in Houston and Dallas that still maintain quality environments and standards of conduct.
Tonight, the table behind us had an baby with them....a kicking, screaming baby whose stroller abutted the back of my chair. Acknowledging the parents are to blame to bring a baby into a high-end restaurant, management should have never seated them if they truly cared about decorum and the other 80 ? diners in the building. But its clear Jeffrey's just wants the money, I guess, without the standards. What an obnoxious night of listening to that, instead of a serene evening.
At the table across from us, three knuckleheads with very loud, profane voices held court. Dressed in jeans, shorts and golf shirts, their F Bombs carried easily and unavoidably to the other 7 tables in the room. Did management come to ask them to lower their voices to that of just their table ? Nupe. They were ok that the other 20 ? people in that area had to listen to gutter talk and nastiness. Never had that happen at Tony's, Brennans or Al Biernat's.
I acknowledge that our society in general has devolved in decency, politeness and knowing right from wrong (loudly cussing in front of ladies in a public place). But a true restauranteur holds its place of business and clientele to reasonable standards. Its my view the new owners of Jeffrey's don't care, and just want the money. Fine. We're out. Do it with their money then. And we likely represent customer attrition that will grow and affect Jeffrey's. Their choice. Buh Bye.
Everything was first class. Highly recommend.
Wish dessert was as good as the rest of the meal.
Loved everything about Jeffrey’s. Can’t wait to go back!
Flawless! Perfect! 100% Spot On! My favorite experience out of all Austin’s high end restaurants. And the food! OMG!Thank you
Excellent service. Great food. What else do you need? Tip: great HH specials! We didn’t even realize it was HH. I joked and said we went for the geriatric special with 5:15 reservations but it was absolutely perfect and we were out in time to get to the game!
Grate service , good food !!!
What started out as a delightful evening out (we were celebrating our wedding anniversary) turned out to be anything but. While there were a few delays in our being seated and in getting menus, water, bread service, etc., it was acceptable. However, once our order was taken, it was close to an hour before we received our entrees. And this only after we got the attention of a staff person and asked what the devil the holdup was. Apologies were given but no explanations offered. They did comp the meal but it still was an unpleasant experience overall. We also were surprised that there seemed to be no attempt to "socially distance" the seating, although the staff did wear masks. Over the years, we have dined at Jeffries many times, starting with the first year they opened. We have no desire to return.
We were visitors from out of town on our elopement trip. We came to Jeffrey’s the night before our wedding to celebrate and were absolutely amazed by everything. The food, the service, the atmosphere were all perfect. They even gifted us free glasses of champagne and dessert to help us celebrate. We will definitely be back next time we’re in Austin.
Celebrated a birthday and the Jeffrey’s team sure know how to make a girl feel special! ☺️ Food was exceptional; really enjoyed our experience!
My wife and I had a wonderful dinner at Jeffrey’s. It was our first visit to the restaurant and we were celebrating our anniversary. The food and service were top notch. Will definitely be back.
We had an amazing experience. The food and the service was top notch. I highly recommend this place and we will be back.
Excellent service. Great food.
Love the staff and the food!!! Best meal I’ve had in forever!!
Great place for a special occasion. The food was delicious and the service exemplary!! We will be going back soon.
One of the best filets I've ever had. Half off bottles of wine on Sundays. Super good appetizers. They said they were short staffed but I didn't notice.
Great service, great drinks, great appetizers, great desert, mediocre steak. My wife and I shared the $170 porter which was cooked as per order, but of extremely low quality. There are MANY better steakhouses in Austin. After hearing so much good about this restaurant, we are disappointed. We will not be back.
Absolutely Phenomenal! Our server Victor didn't miss a beat. The entire team was very attentive. Everyone from the manager to each member of our serving team, each took time on a very busy Saturday night to connect with our table, and connect with us on a personal level. We were celebrating a birthday and she felt very special. This restaurant is very special and everyone should visit.
Outstanding! The food was creative and bursting with flavor, our server was extremely knowledgeable, and the ambiance was so romantic.
We had my birthday dinner there last night; it was memorable. The service was excellent and the food delicious.
Lives up to its reputation as the quintessential Austin restaurant.
Great service in a comfortable environment. The pop-overs are always a treat as well as the small token sweet that accompanies the check at the end of the meal. I do wish they offered at least one grilled or pan sautéed seafood entree, however the snapper en papillote was very good. I would recommend this restaurant!
Perfect date night spot, food was incredible & ambiance was very romantic
This was our first time at Jeffrey's and everything was wonderful. For someone that HATES foie gras I would go back just for their foie gras dish.
The souffle was the best part of the experience. The steak was ok and the service was not great. There was a dead fly on the table and instead of picking it up with a napkin and getting a new table cloth, they used the crumb scraper to drag it across the table and onto the floor...
They need improve the pasta dish
It was a dissapointment
Besides that it was all good.
Impeccable service. Waitstaff polite, unassuming, and knowledgeable. Food pleasing to the eye and also tasted good. Chocolate soufflé was outstanding!
We made our reservation three months in advance. I guess because of Covid, Jeffrey's was completely booked that far out. We were anticipating a wonderful evening. As we walked in my wife and I were afraid for a moment, that we were not going to have so great visit as we have had so many before. However, Vanessa, one of our favorite sommeliers, saw my wife and I struggling with our situation, quickly swooped in and saved the day along with the Manager and our other favorite sommelier,Tony. These people rock! All the staff is completely professional except for maybe this one Hostess. Very young and could use some direction but pleasant enough. Anyway she will get better or she'll be gone. When one goes to Jeffrey's they should expect the best. I know we do and Jeffrey's makes it happen. Nice catch Vanessa!
Doesn’t live up to the hype. Very expensive even with their half off bottle of wine Sunday special. Better places to eat in Austin.
I mean… excellent at usual!
I wish I could give this more stars. Possibly the best meal I’ve had in Austin. Pricey, but worth it!
We loved it! Would definitely recommend it. Amazing food. Amazing service.
Chef Marc again made the food amazing
Mind blowing food allergies & all
The service was excellent. The food was outstanding.
