Very delicious food and a great atmosphere. Were there for a special occasion; they were very sweet in acknowledging the event.
Went to Jeffery's for a celebratory team dinner and had a great experience. The happy hour bar menu is amazing and extremely reasonably priced. We tried the carpaccio, cheese plate, fried oysters, croquettes, the burger, and the Bolognese. I would recommend every dish we tried. The ambiance of the restaurant is great and would be a good place to just grab a drink or have a date night.
An exceptional dinner for my Birthday; wonderful service, food and a great experience!
Best service ever! Shellfish Risotto amazing and fun and different appetizers. Fried oysters were fabulous. Green signature vodka drink refreshing and smooth. Cozy atmosphere. Clarksville is a neat part of town.
Delicious, the best mashed potatoes I've had in a long time and the wagyu steak was melt in your mouth tender.
We could not have asked for a better place to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary.
Jeffrey's never fails to impress. Austin Land and Cattle and Jeffrey's remain the best steaks in town.
Overall experience was great! We especially loved the popcorn. All the dishes are stunning and delicious, except for my fillet mignon was too salty on the outside. The souffles are exceptional!
Wonderful folks who made out 40th Anniversary a great time for all.
The most amazing meal I’ve ever had!!! And I know good food.
My bride and I had an excellent meal with service that excelled. Jeffrey's has a wine by the glass offering that we enjoyed. What fine dinning should be, it is at Jeffrey's.
We chose Jeffrey's in Austin to celebrate our 30th anniversary dinner. From the minute we walked into Jeffrey's we knew we were in for a special night. The ambiance is romantic, warm and charming. Our dear friends ordered champagne which was chilled and waiting for us on a beautifully set table in a cozy booth. We both ordered filet mignon. The steaks were prepared perfectly and both were tender and delicious. Our waiters were knowledgeable without the attitudes of hip and trendy steak houses. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this restaurant. Love the martini cart! We already made our reservations for my birthday in March. This will be our go to spot for special occasions.

This is a very special place. They started us off with complimentary Cava because it was our anniversary. The food is innovative, interesting, and delicious. The many servers are a well-coordinated team and attentive without hovering. Like other great restaurants, they clean the table between courses and bring new services for each course. The ambiance is very good, a classically attractive interior that manages to be quiet even when every table is occupied. It is more expensive than most, but well worth the price. And the complimentary valet service is really helpful in a very crowded neighborhood.
I have eaten at this restaurant 4-5 times over a period of 10 years. Every time I find it excellent. I drove 40 miles just to dine here. In my opinion it is really the only "fine dining restaurant" in the Austin area. Sure, there are other good or maybe even great places but this is a top notch restaurant. The prices are in line with most of the fine dining restaurants that I have been to all over the world. Expensive, yes, but well worth the price. My tab for two, whit our wine, but with drinks and a 20% tip was about $300.00.
Amazing service and classy atmosphere! Great for sharing a special occasion. Would definitely go back!
The standards--the little gem Caesar salad and the crispy oysters--were outstanding. The fish was fresh and exquisitely prepared. I appreciated the courteous and attentive service!
There is so much to love about Jeffrey's, beginning with the service. It's comfortable, friendly and elegant all at the same time. The deviled eggs are outstanding, rich and creamy, very satisfying. My husband has enjoyed the pork chop on our previous two visits. He clearly loves the preparation. I was thrilled with my filet on our last visit and the halibut this past weekend was outstanding. Our favorite date night place when we travel from NYC to Austin...a true gem!
The seafood risotto was fabulous - the two of us shared it
I mentioned it was my wife’s birthday when I arrived and they indicated a little something could be done. Nothing happened at the end of the meal; but, it did for the table next to us celebrating a birthday as well. Also, as we were enjoying our meal, all the tables around us were being reset/then re-set again for an event the next day. Not a very peaceful meal and we actually decided to end our meal and leave as we felt we were being rushed out of the restaurant. food just ok; but, overall experience for the money was a big letdown. It happened before and I thought I’d try again ... sadly, not the standard I’d expect from this restaurant overall.
Friends came in from Marfa and had never been to Jefferies. We live in the hood and have been coming here since it was next door to the Clarksville Cafe. We love our neighborhood and it is only made better by Jefferies being part of it.
For my money the finest restaurant in Austin. Best service
While I thought the appetizers (deviled eggs and avocado toast, as well as, complimentary bread) and dessert (intemperance chocolate cake - also had the tartlette which was too tart for my husband) were great, my main meal (shellfish risotto) left much to be desired. The service was wonderful and I do love the atmosphere but next time I may just go for appetizers, desserts, and drinks.
Great food. We were disappointed in the ribeye which we split. A big piece of meat but we ordered it medium & it came out very rare. We should have sent it back but did not. If it happens again, we will. Great, friendly service.
As ever, very accommodating and excellent presentation.
What a special little restaurant. We will definitely return soon.
Wonderful restaurant; I had the rack of lamb and it was superb! Best lamb chops I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to go back!
Extraordinary! I made the reservation at Jeffrey's for my sister and brother-in-law's 11th anniversary. They were amazed by the entire experience! Jeffrey's staff made it easy for me to coordinate a special celebration, and I am grateful for their time and talent.
Amazing experience. Food was perfect (except the leeks) drinks, wine and service was exceptional.
I lived in Clarksville in the mid-late '90s and walked by this establishment almost daily on my way to FreshPlus and beyond. Now some 24 years later we finally trekked in from the Lake to check it out for our 10 year anniversary. Speechless is how I describe our meal experience. When we arrived they had us set up in a half-round booth facing the hearth and the kitchen. The wait stations are very low footprint, dim and clean. The amount of staff on hand was impressive. At one point I counted 12 people in the kitchen and 10 on the floor. hey set the table with a card for us and some Kava to drink. From there things just lifted off like an Atlas Rocket. First wave was Truffle Deviled Eggs. The creamed egg yolk truffle whip was just other-worldly like something you would eat on top of a small pebble and smile all the way down. Next up the Caviar... it's served Russian style with small half-dollar sized hand-made warm out of the oven pancakes, fresh whipped sour cream, chives, egg white and yolk and diced red and green onions. My wife, who is Chinese from Canada and works for an Israeli company, chose the Chinese Kaluga Caviar. It's dark and robust and hints at Beluga for a fraction of the price. Frankly, sans being caviar experienced, a diner would be so lucky as to have the Kaluga. Next up the Mains, Bone-In Ribeye and the Duck. I have 500 words left, the duck can wait. The steak. OMG... the steak. If you have seen two kids fight over a toy or two dogs fight over a bone, you can somewhat grasp the emotion and my wife ate the leftovers the next day. When the steak came out, I looked at my wife and saw what I best describe as the face I would gladly break out the black card for annually. She was in literal heaven, ears ringing, hands tingling and lips enjoying the remnants of the perfect ( beyond your definition) dose of seasoning and dilligence. IN the end one of our Top 5 meals in the World for me and my bride. Make this your special spot. See you there.
I really want to write this review to blast Open Table the service. They blatantly lied about Jeffrey's participating in Restaurant Week 2018. Jeffrey's didn't advertise anywhere they had a $45 dinner menu, but Open Table, in an attempt to deceive budget conscious restaurant-goers, falsely claimed they did. Going from $45 fixed dinner menu to the ~$65 per person you can expect to pay for a meal and a drink pushed me personally outside of my budget comfort zone for that evening. I almost had to embarrass myself and my date and leave the establishment.
However, Jeffrey's staff was amazing. Seeing our panic once we realize OpenTable had deceived us, they reassured us there would be no issue, helped keep us under budget and gave us complementary appetizers to make sure we got the full Jeffrey's experience. The food was great and the final bill was reasonable. Truly a tremendous dining experience and an exceptional staff. Once I graduate and get a real job/good income, I will definitely be back often.
As for OpenTable- keep my d*** "reward points". I'll make my reservations elsewhere.
Finally a place to eat great food and enjoy good service without having to shout over bad muzak. Wait staff was present but not oppressive, food was excellent and sommelier was knowledgeable and helpful. Stay away so I can continue to eat there in peace.
This was my 1st visit for dinner. The occasion was for my son's 50th birthday. He and his wife and my granddaughter arrived in Austin from NYC that day. They are very accustomed to fine dining and they loved our experience at Jeffrey's starting with the birthday greeting on the table.
We all ate different things and tasted each others. We all agreed that everything was wonderful, especially the risotto...best I've ever eaten even in Italy.
We really appreciated the service staff too. They were never intrusive but always there at the right time! They treated us like family.
The bar area is very loud...wish it were less because I'd come more often for Happy Hour, but this seems to be like all restaurants in Austin. The dining room was just right when we got there early, but of course, as it filled up, it increased in sound.
Awesome service! Multiple waiters on one table was quite impressive. Are kidding me?
Awesome atomsphere! The decor and ambiance were perfectly paired. Take your date, she’ll be impressed. Take your family, they’ll love it.
Awesome food! From perfectly popped popcorn ( who would of thought) to the perfectly cooked ribeye with a local peach salad and an appetizer. Holy smokes!
Awesome drinks! Go on Sunday, the wine list is half price.
Jeffery’s has fine dining down to an art. Jeffery’s created one of the most pleasant dining experiences I’ve ever had. Congratulations Jeffery’s, you have self- actualized.
Overcooked steak and with those prices it just is not a good value for the experience.
Off the top ... one of the best meals and experiences that we have had stemming from Chicago, NYC, San Francisco and Napa/Sonoma. From the cocktails to the salad to the main course and finally to the dessert, nothing disappointed.
Jeffrey's is the best restaurant with the best service in town.
We were seated close to a large party of loud drunks. Ruined an otherwise pleasant experience.
One of the best restaurants in Austin, if not the best!
Outstanding food and service! Everything was perfect.
