Still offering the best service in Austin, with food that is consistently delicious, Jeffery's is my go-to for an upscale yet never fussy dining experience. The ambience is cozy and intimate enough for a date, but also feels just right for a party of 6-8.
It is probably the best fine dining experience from central Texas down to Rio Grande Valley. Excellent food and service!! Very nice wine selection!! Highly recommend this restaurant.
Food delicious. Service depends on my children for communication. Need to learn how to communicate with Deaf Adults.
A must for special occasions! Very romantic. Food is phenomenal. Will definitely returning to Austin for Jeffrey’s
Great service and food was outstanding!!!
Every moment courteous and attentive without intrusion. Had a "popover" (my mother called them "Yorkshire puddings." It was as good as my mom's, which is saying something. Appetizers were foie gras (perfect) and my husband a salad (he found anchovies on it but that's on him - he only ate one by mistake and recovered immediately). He had a seafood risotto that was the right texture (smooth but not in the pureed sense; right degree of "toothiness," for lack of a better term) and right taste (not too "fishy"). I had the New York Strip - grilled to order (medium rare to rare) and "pommes puree" (again, like my mom's). Only downside is the overwhelmingly underwhelming dessert array: two different soufflés (ok, that's impressive, if you feel like a scuffle, which I never do), a nondescript flour-less cake (that's so 90s!), and some sort of French pastry dessert that I overheard the waiter describing to another diner as a "kind of cherry aspic." No thank you. Now, my final comment - and this is not criticism - is: would at least one Austin fine dining restaurant please offer an impressive liqueur coffee after-dinner drink? A carajillo would have made this evening beyond perfect (because it was perfect).
The service was impeccable, however a bit of overkill - we were approached by 6 different people several times throughout our dinner to refill, clear items, fold napkins, status of food... it was a bit much and cut into our conversation quite a bit. Other than that, this is a special spot that my husband and I will continue to frequent. Always amazing food!
I've never had a server at a restaurant like this ask me to pass them my plate to clear it. Food arrived with no silverware. Water service was infrequent. Empty glasses, wine bottle and carafe left at the table through dessert. Not worth the money. The wine mark up was off the charts, even for a steakhouse.
Top quality food and service
Honestly this place was fine, but I think that based off the reputation we had higher expectations so that’s why it’s so disappointing. The service was absolutely not on par with other MMH restaurants we’ve been to recently, we sat at our table for almost 30 minutes before our server came to take our order and I had to request popcorn/bread, whereas the table next to us sat down after us and already had their cocktails and appetizers. The overall dining experience took forever, which I normally wouldn’t mind (7:45 reservation, didn’t leave until almost 10:30), but it was due to a lack of our server’s attention. We sat with empty water glasses and plates for long periods of time. My husband ordered his steak medium and it came out absolutely rare - Jeffrey’s did comp this and quickly remade his steak which we really appreciated, but I’m not sure where the miscommunication was and it extended our dinner even more so. It also took them a very long time to come over and check in with us about our meal after serving it, so he sat there for a while with a steak he wasn’t able to eat, again due to lack of server’s attention Overall it’s a really nice restaurant and the food was very good, it could have been an off night for the staff, but we spent our anniversary here and it was a disappointing evening! Would definitely recommend other MMH restaurants over this one.
Jeffreys aspires to be a top shelf steakhouse. They
The tables were so close we could barely fit between them. Otherwise everything was fine.
We enjoyed several dishes and every one of them was excellent! The service was impeccable; attentive, timely, never overbearing. We will go back!
Dinner with long time friends.
Birthday - did a nice job with a card for birthday and special scoop of ice cream and candle.
Service seemed disorganized- delay with food between courses.
Meal highlight were snacks and appetizer and not main courses/sides which was surprising
Disappointing trip to Jeffrey's last night.
Was one of my wife's favorite restaurants.
Food was average and service was very disappointing -- I assume restaurant is dealing with staff shortages.
When we left (about 8pm), there were several groups waiting to be seated.
I would wait and go when they've resolved some of their issues.
Delicious food and amazing service. It was our anniversary and they gave us complimentary sparkling wine to celebrate the occasion. Loved our experience!
Food and drink were great. Ambience was great. I was extremely disappointed in the service.
Very slow service. Drinks not right. A let down from going there over the years
I found the quality of the food to not be equal to the quality of service. And the price was inflated. Not to my taste - but others seemed happy.
Wait staff was very friendly, food was delicious. Would love to visit again for special occasion.
Everything was fantastic - my steak was like butta'! The waitstaff was attentive and professional yet personable. It is definitely not quick though. We had tickets to a 7:00p show down the street so I made 5:15p reservations and we were late. Next time, we won't plan anything after and will just go planning to savor and enjoy the dining experience.
Fabulous experience which exceeded all our expectations! Can’t wait to go back!!!
Dinner was great. Service was great. Always enjoy going. It is our special place for celebrating our anniversary.
Went their for our anniversary. Absolutely fantastic! LOVE sitting at the bar - friendly staff and such a fun experience every time.
All categories were excellent
If visiting Austin again Jeffries would b my first reservation
Outstanding service, excellent food & drinks, in a classy atmosphere. What more is there to say?
Perfect place to celebrate a birthday. Excellent service and delicious food.
Such an amazing experience! Every single dish was phenomenal. We will definitely be back
Good was excellent. If I had to rank the items we had, I’d say
2. Deviled eggs
3. Crab and avocado toast
4. Fried oysters
5. Beef tartare
We also go the wagyu burger and the Bolognese. The burger was on the best I ever had and the Bolognese was super good as well (best ricotta ever)
My only complaint was that the tables were practically on top of each other. My boyfriend sat across from me and I was closer to the two guests at the tables next to me than him.
Service was not very attentive unless they were hustling us through dinner. We were allotted a 2 hour window even though the place was half empty. They dropped off the dessert menu with our entrees. Not what we would expect at a high end restaurant. Food and drinks were good, but hard to enjoy under the pressure of poor management.
This is probably the best steakhouse!! Everything was on point. My wife and me dined on Friday on the bar. They have full bar service. The bartenders are very attentive and knowledgeable. We were so impressed that decided to go back on Sunday. The sommelier made some fantastic recommendations. I can tell he loves his job. The ambience and decor were impeccable. The service was immaculate and the food is of magnificent quality. The chef takes the time to prepare all dishes with love and dedication. We enjoyed it a lot and truly recommend Jeffrey’s restaurant to anyone who loves fine dining.
Amazing! Everything was outstanding. You won’t be disappointed.
The food was good but not especially memorable. It was also a disappointing experience checking in as they were not very friendly or welcoming.
Amazing service and food. Started with perfectly seared Foie Gras followed by a very creamy seafood Risotto and creamed spinach. Everything was delicious and the timing of courses made it unrushed. The atmosphere is very intimate and quiet.
Pricey but the steaks were the best we have had in Austin and cooked perfectly. Staff was excellent and attentive. I usually don’t eat the bread when it is offered but Jeffrey’s bread is crazy good. Will go here again for sure.
Disappointing. The wait staff was in a hurry for us to leave. We must have taken longer than the allotted time the restaurants now use to keep turning tables. It wasn't a pleasant environment and I won't go back.
Wonderful experience! Highly, highly recommended. Great food, drinks, and service. Staff is incredibly friendly and made my date night amazing. Shout out to Kole, Kaitlyn, Crista, and Sam, thanks for enhancing our dining experience. Will be back soon!
Great anniversary dinner. Wonderful service. Knowledgeable staff.
