   Quiet location, enjoyed waiting at the bar watching the magic happen! The Mixologists was nothing short of amazing. The entire staff was polite and clearly educated in their specific duties. We enjoyed speaking with Josh, super knowledgeable and a pleasure to speak with.

   I have been going to Jeffrey’s as a visitor to Austin for many many years. It never disappoints! The food was excellent, the service impeccable. Really made for a memorable evening celebrating a friend’s birthday. If I lived in Austin, I would be a regular.

   A party of four was celebrating a 50th wedding anniversary dinner. When seated, the anniversary couple was greeted with a welcome card congratulating them on the occasion. The reception staff was attentive. The waitstaff, in particular, Lucas, provided excellent service and paid attention to small details. It has been many years since we dined at Jeffrey's, but it will not be long before we return.

    First time back since they changed years ago, what a mistake we made not coming sooner! Best service & dinner in Austin! Everything was delicious. Appetizers to die for, the best, most perfectly cooked duck breast I’ve ever had, etc. Could go on and on, do not miss.

    We have been eating at Jeffrey's since the early 1980's and always considered every meal there to be special and memorable. Under current ownership and management, dining at Jeffrey's is even more treasured--from the aesthetic, the ambiance, to the stellar service, the creative and unique menu options, the cocktail and wine selections and the delicious, high-quality cuisine, dinner at Jeffrey's felt like so much more than just another great dinner in the foodie-lover's paradise of my hometown of Austin, Texas. It was a transportive experience for my wife and for me in every good way imaginable. Highly recommended.

    We loved our experience at Jeffrey's. Every single dish that we ordered was amazing. Their poppers are delicious, the seared foie gras was rich and very flavorful. The duck and steak main dishes were the best duck and the best steak we had in Austin so far. Even the dessert was great. As great as the food was, the service was even better. Our waiter made great suggestions and everyone were so attentive and kind and made our experience great. This is the closest to a Michelin star service level that we have experienced in Austin so far. Kudos to the staff. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a delicious tasting high end meal with the amazing service to match. We will definitely be back soon.

    Becca was incredible! She gave us outstanding menu recommendations, and then there was wine. She went off of weird; red, open to suggestions and knocked it out of the park. We will be back and can’t wait! Thank you, Becca!

    Easily one of the best restaurants in Austin. Amazing creative food, excellent service. Bar selections are top notch, wine list is amazing but only real complaint could use more options in the reds 'by the glass' department.

    Service was very slow in general. For a nice place, I anticipated that we wouldn't be left waiting all through the experience. Waiting to place the order. Waiting for them to remove dirty dishes. Waiting on drinks. Waiting on the bill. Waiting on dessert to come out. At every turn, we had a wait. We came in at 9:30 and it didn't appear to be too busy. There was never any explanation of why everything took so long. The food itself was great, but was less enjoyable because of the experience. The lighting was very dim and I had a hard time reading the menu. When your clientele is older, we appreciate a larger font or better lighting to be able to read. When I spend the amount of money I did last night, it should be something that I'm raving happily about. I won't be returning.

    Our anniversary dinner at Jeffrey’s was amazing! Our server Becca guided us through the menu, suggesting items that suited our dietary preferences. The wine, hors d’oeuvres, entrées, and soufflé were magnificent. The special touches (anniversary table sign, after dinner truffles, and tea service) were outstanding. It all made our 25th anniversary dinner so special. Thank you so much!

    All around a good restaurant. Hosts, wait help, and valet were all so personable and on top of their game. Food was good. Fine dining experience with fine dining prices. However, the fact that they request that you order all of your food at once is something that is a bit of a turnoff. It only says to the clientele that they want you in/out so that they can seat more people for the night (even though they use the excuse that your food needs time to cook). This practice is common, yes. But it's not necessarily a practice that's something to be desired by clientele. Sometimes your taste for the entree may change depending on what you have for the appetizer. That said, we refused to order everything at once and our request was granted.

    One of the best steaks I’ve ever had. Was a little hesitant to get the bone-in ribeye due to price point, but it is absolutely worth it. The sauces and toppings for the steak really elevated it to the next level! The fries were just ok, but if those were the only thing that didn’t blow me away from beginning with our salads to the end with the chocolate soufflé, I’m ok with that.

    Anniversary - treated well but whomever sat us said they are new when I asked a Q. Diners spending $700 never like to hear that no matter how true. I’d train them to say: ‘let me get back to you on that’ if asked a question they don’t know how to answer. Otherwise our main server was fantastic and knowledgeable. Fun atmosphere. Fun dinner. Great martinis!

    Took my mom here for a belated Mother’s Day dinner. The service was impeccable- we seemed to have a team of people attending to our every need. And yet also they knew when to leave us alone. The entrees we all had were fabulous. Two of us had seafood and one had short ribs. Everything was delicious and portions were just right plus plated beautifully. Starter salad was also excellent but was on the smaller side for the price. We had chocolate entrapment for dessert and I was mad I had to share it! Fabulous dinner, best meal I’ve had in Austin yet. (I wish I could afford it more often would be my only complaint!)

    Disappointing. Even overlooking a mistake here and there, I just can't recommend Jeffrey's if you get the experience we did. First and foremost: the staff were gracious and made every attempt to make things right. Kudos to them. Pulling up to the building with a brightly lit "V A L E T" sign and an employee standing underneath, you'll be told to instead park across the street into the retail parking with no lighting. "Why is the valet sign on then?" The employee chuckled at my question. My wife and I ordered steaks - her the Prime ribeye, me the "Wagyu" NY strip. My wife's cut was very thin, like a diner steak. It was cooked OK, not very tender but well seared and as-rare-as-can-be for a quarter inch steak. My Wagyu was pleasantly presented, a little rare but that's OK, well within margin of error. However, it was insanely tough, I couldn't reliably cut a piece with my knife and had to chew quite a bit to even get through it. It was also bland, but that's kind of what you get with a thick thick steak, you need salt on-hand to help it out with large cuts with low surface area - but no salt is to be found. Sadly I returned the steak disappointed. The sides of Brussel sprouts was very good, in the very popular style of flash fried with a sweeter sauce. Lovely. The mushrooms were mediocre, just tasted a bit off, not tender... felt like a bad batch. Salads were good, nothing mind blowing but nice homemade Caesar heavy on the anchovies. The desserts were good, including the ones they comped us. Coffee was good - they forgot my cappuccino. For a meal, it was meh forgiving the errors. For the "best restaurant in Austin", and the prices we paid, I can't recommend it. I hope to go again to get a second shot at enjoying it, but reservations are locked a month in advance.
