Amazing all around. We had the best dinner and had a great time! This is a must in Austin
Great birthday celebration meal with the family. Steaks, fish, salads and risotto were all outstanding
It was a wonderful dining experience. Our service could not have been better. The food, was the best!
Great special occasion restaurant. Great food and cozy atmosphere. We went for our anniversary and were given complimentary Cava and chocolate truffles. The waitstaff is attentive but not overbearing. We both had the seafood risotto...excellent.
Great service. Very accommodating and wonderful attention to detail.
Jeffrey's is always such a special place and never fails to provide a memorable experience. 100% incredible.
My wife and I attended Jeffry's on 9/12 for our 11th anniversary. Frankly we love the place.
The food was as impeccable as ever and I urge everyone to try the Hamachi Carpaccio as it was incredible. The Sommelier suggested a fantastic french wine based upon some others we like. My only complaint is this: I understand the need to turn tables in the Covid epoch. But when a customer is $650 into their dinner; they should never be told by the waiter that the table is booked and needed. One of the managers was very gracious and saved the evening by finding us a spot in the bar to finish our refreshments. Jeffry's is one of the last restaurants offering a traditional service. Please don't lose sight of why we dine there. Yes the food is glorious, and in the past the service had no equal. That's why we pay what we do. Sadly, 9/12 didn't live up to that. I will trust it was a blip and not a trend.
Great classic Austin restaurant that has maintained it's historical charm, classy decor, and upscale service. One of my favorite restaurants that still embodies "old Austin."
Our Captain, Tony, was amazing helping with wine selections, and all the food was amazing.
Fried oysters as good as anywhere, service and wine knowledge impeccable.
Great place. One of my favorites! I highly recommend this place.
Staff was unwelcoming food and drinks were amazing.
There is a reason Jeffery’s I’m the number #1 steakhouse in Austin.
Obviously, the steaks are phenomenal. Best in Austin.
But what really makes this place is the people. Eric and his staff are personal, they remember you. They are flawless in their execution when it comes to service and timing out drinks, food, when to come to the table, etc. The place is run like a well oiled machine.
They are the reason this establishment thrives. Good leadership. And Eric is the head of that leadership.
Thank you guys!!
It was perfect night out! Only complaint was the 2/3yr old running around and being noisy but not the restaurants fault.
Come here often but for some reason the steak and risotto seemed off this visit. Staff comped the steak and was very pleasant and understanding.
I had a lovely dinner at Jeffrey's for my anniversary. It was Sunday which is half price for bottles of wine. This is a great deal. We shared the fried oysters and dry aged strip. Both were delicious. The service was excellent. All the servers and staff were very courteous and attentive. Everyone wore masks and was very cognizant of Covid. After 20+ years in Austin, this is still one of my top restaurants.
Great decor, great service, great food and great wine selections. My favorite place to eat in Austin.
Since there is no car valet service due to Covid, parking can be an issue.
The bar is the perfect size, perfectly done and the service is off the charts. I love the food too!
Loved the Brussel Sprouts, the tart tartare beef, the 6oz filé and the halibut.
We enjoyed our first visit to Jeffrey's for our 21st Anniversary dinner. For a restaurant with a higher price point the portions were decent sized and everything was delicious! The staff had prepared a little "Happy Anniversary" note and provided complementary sparkling wine for a little toast, which we thought was a nice touch for our special evening. Since it's one of our few dining excursions during the Covid pandemic, Jeffrey's also took great care to make us feel comfortable as well. We look forward to dining there again!
The food and dining experience was superb, from light airy popovers thru entrees and dessert. The service was nothing short of attentive and knowledgeable.
I’ll definitely return
The food gets 5 stars all around! To start, we tried the Truffled Deviled Eggs and the Caesar Salad (I am a big fan of white anchovies) and both were great tasting a beautifully presented. Truly amazing were the famous popovers (light as a feather, truly) with a side of ricotta butter. I mean....On to the entrees; I had the Seafood Risotto and it was wonderful and bountiful; I could hardly finish all the king crab, lobster and clams. We shared! We tried the chocolate soufflé's and the pear brioche and they were both fabulous. He had the Alaskan Halibut and it was "like buttah." As for the service, we were greeted promptly and there was acknowledgment of my birthday in the form of a card, and a candle-lit chocolate-with-sprinkles scoop of vanilla ice cream not to mention a couple of pate-de-fruit treats (blood orange, and a cocoa-powdered truffle/lemon delight at the very end with the check. Only service mishap was a condiment we were promised (raw sugar for our tea) that never came. This was not the fault of Lucas, our main waiter, who was attentive but not intrusive and was sweet to take our picture. Jeffrey's is expensive, but worth it for special occasions or whenever you want to show off the Best of Austin in a classic old neighborhood. As a person who lived on Enfield in the 80s, it was a joy to return.
Jeffrey’s was perfect. Amazing food, service, and environment every time.
My boyfriend and I LOVED this place. The food was amazing, a little expensive but everything was worth it. Love the popcorn and bread as appetizers, too. Our waitress was wonderful and the overall service was great. Thank you!
Always great, per usual!
I was genuinely surprised at how amazing, outstanding and exquisite their food and service were. They’re simply exceptional and you can’t go wrong with any of the dishes. Wow.
Truly outstanding service and top tier food. The Staff made us feel welcome and special, the whole date night package.
It was the worse dinning experience I have had. I don't think the staff wanted to be there. The staff including the manager was more concerned about them than the customer. Been going there for years but will never return.
Excellent service with great food!
Second dinner at Jeffrey’s, and it was as great as we remembered. Absolutely delicious & love the ambiance.
Wow. Absolutely amazing. Perfect for special occasions. Really a cut above the rest! They will make you feel like a million bucks. The food is incredible.
Best Steak and service in Austin, hands down!!!!!!
Awesome. Lucas was our waiter and he was great!
Staff and overall service is top notch! Excellent food!Perfect date night spot!
Food and atmosphere but SO over priced and stuffy! This restaurant is as expensive as FRENCH LAUNDRY and I promise you that it doesn’t even come close to that experience. They have a very high opinion of themselves and the duck was too tough to enjoy.
Very good food, great service.
Normally the food is impeccable and everything is perfect my dinner was not at its best ,It was busy and the food was lacking but still delicious and amazing ! Will go back for sure!
Food was amazing. My date and I shared everything. Started with the truffle deviled eggs, which I now believe is the only way they should be prepared, and the only complaint was that there were only 2 and I could have eaten 10. Had a Cesar salad, the Niman Farms Ribeye, and Brussels sprouts. Steak was cooked perfectly at mid-rare +, salad was simple but exceptional at the same time, Brussels sprouts might as well have been dessert. All very good. Got the soufflé to finish the meal, we were very disappointed that the Baked Alaska wasn’t available, but I think it’s absence was covid related. Also, it was very dark in the restaurant, but that’s just personal preference. Service was fine, definitely nothing that went wrong. Really thought the food alone was good enough to warrant 5 stars.
All courses were excellent. Even the bread was delightful. It’s the best food we’ve had since moving to Austin.
Amazing restaurant with quality food, Great ambiance, and engaging staff. We ate here for our 5 year anniversary and had a great experience. Our food was delicious and our waitress, Vanessa, was so friendly and helpful and made us feel special from the start! We will be back and send friends in as well!
