Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse - Lexington
Food was outstanding. Serving staff was very knowledgeable, professional, and made some excellent suggestions. Every Jack Ruby's employee we encountered, from the valet to the front desk to the lounge and finally the dining room made us feel welcome and special.
The whole package was nice however we went for the Wagyu steak and they were out. That was disappointing but we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner regardless.
Went there on a Monday night.. Even though it was full, it was a great ambiance, much quieter than my first time there. Our service was prompt and attentive, and the food was excellent. Crab leg appetizer was fantastic! Entrees prepared perfectly and first rate. The highlight of the evening however was the Bananas Foster... Great table side presentation and out of this world flavor!! The staff treated us very well including the valet and hostess who asked for any dining preferences we might have for future reference. I felt well taken care of which is a must for this level of dining experience. I was very impressed and most definitely will be back!
25th anniversary dinner. Clean, right uniforms, everyone very pleasant. Quickly took our drink orders. Appetizers were to die for Steak cooked to perfection. Couldn’t ask for anything more.
Service was great and the food was excellent. Drinks after in the bar with entertainment was a plus!
I had never had a chared steak that I can remember, different. Nothing else was a surprise. Nice place good service. Will return for special occasions.
Nothing negative at all about our experience. Top notch!!!
Great first time at Jeff Ruby’s and a great night. Food and people were great!!
We love Jeff Ruby’s. Been to the Cincy and Nashville locations and our experience was outstanding!
Gorgeous restaurant and fabulous service! Our waiter Preston and his helper Nick went above and beyond to make it a wonderful dining experience! Food was excellent! Highly recommend!
Beautiful restaurant. Wonderful food and service with attention to detail!!
From the very moment that you step through the front door you realize how gorgeous the building is. Everywhere you go, you will be amazed from the beautiful chandeliers to the all the cool memorabilia in the various rooms. The food is tremendous from the wagyu meatball appetizer, the always delicious Ruby steaks, to the butter pie dessert. The service is amazing and they treat you like family. I can't wait to go back.
Atmosphere was wonderful! We ate in the Gatsby room.
Our server Johnny was outstanding!! We appreciated him making suggestions about the food when we asked.
Food was delicious, but a bit pricey.
We enjoyed the special treat after dinner... a tour of the whole restaurant by our server, Johnny.
Winston was our server and he along with the other ones that helped him
we're Outstanding. Along with the service and the food everything was
very top notch.
Everything was wonderful. Look forward to returning soon.
Our server Spencer was fabulous!
Great place to eat. I would recommend this to anyone.
Third time trying the Lexington Jeff Ruby’s, food is just okay, does not compare to Louisville or Cincinnati, filet was overcooked. Service was not good.
“Exquisite” is the word that I would use to describe Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse in Lexington Ky. The service is top notch, the ambiance is one of a kind, and the food... excellent. 5 starts....
Everything was great! Really enjoyed the experience!
Food and service were good. Considering the price my husband and I thought it was a little shady we were charged for a dessert we didn't ask for. It was our first time dining with you all and we came to celebrate our anniversary and birthday. The waiter brought out a dessert that we assumed was complimentary, had we known we were being charged we would have picked something we liked.
I would like to say it was a fabulous experience. It was our 46-th wedding anniversary and we wanted to plan a very special evening.
As I booked the reservation, they asked if it was a special occasion. I let them know it was an anniversary celebration.
When we arrived, our server told us because it was a special occasion that they comped a dessert. However, when the bill arrived, it had on it a $5.00 celebration fee added. So, the comped dessert really cost us $5.00. I would have preferred honesty and the choice to order a dessert of my choosing instead of being tricked into believing the restaurant joined in our celebration.
It left me feeling I had just participated in a shame. A celebration fee. REALLY?
Shame on Jeff Ruby’s.
A great addition to Lexington fine dining. Clearly the best steak in town. No question. There is no reason to go elsewhere for steak dinner. The atmosphere is that of celebration. Wonderful service. We met Dylan who was in training but clearly confident and experienced. This is our new go-to place for fine steak dinner. Oh. The best bananas foster north of Brennens.
My 2nd time dined at Jeff Ruby’s, the filets were very good! The service was great!!! Would love to come back again!
We celebrated our 31st Anniversary at Jeff Ruby's and was delightful! One of those nights you will never forget!
Great atmosphere. Food was spectacular and our service was excellent.
A truly special dining experience. We celebrated summer birthdays and the entire Jeff Ruby’s team made us feel as though we were their only guests. The food was perfectly cooked and theatrically presented including visually stunning cocktails and table-side service featuring a dramatic flambe’ prepared by attentive and good humored wait staff.
The restaurant is gorgeous. The bar/lounge look like it will be rocking at night. The steaks were prepared expertly!
Great experience for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. The aesthetics made the night very special. The outside patio area was phenomenal, and Justin our bartender was the best. Also enjoyed some nice cigars. The best part was the evening ended with a thunderstorm, and our bartender arranged for transportation to our hotel!!
Great experience. Highly recommended
Food was wonderful! Table was perfect! Server was super sweet. Took forever to get our entrees. Many apologies from staff but, it really was worth the wait. That’s why I didn’t give 5 stars though. Can’t wait to come back!
Love the table side banana foster. It’s a must have for anyone dining in.
Anniversary dinner was outstanding.
Service was just ok. Food was terrific & atmosphere was fabulous, but we didn’t get much enthusiasm from our server. I expect a little more for this caliber restaurant.
The food was good. Robbie Barlett was great! The service which was supposed to make the difference between other good steakhouses and the high prices left much to be desired. The table was cluttered, we had to collect and hand off all of the oversized menus, side items were dropped on the floor while being served about every other guest around the table. A good experience but not a great one, and not enough to make it a must do experience among other good choices in Lexington.
Amazing steaks. We loved the chocolate cake! Spencer was an excellent server.
Everything was great except they brought my daughter the wrong meal out and she ate it because she was unaware that it was the wrong meal. After the dinner was over they brought us out the correct meal, and we still had to pay for it. I'm sure if i had complained the would've taken it off, I'm just not a complainer.
We had a great experience top to bottom. Our server Johnny was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Food was cooked perfectly and was quite possibly the best steak I’ve ever had at a restaurant! Can’t wait to go back and hang out at the piano bar.
