Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse - Louisville
Jeff Ruby regulars will be pleased to know that their favorite signature items from the Cincinnati restaurants will be well represented in Louisville. The bone-in filet, the 7 cheese baked macaroni, creamed spinach, truffle flake creamed corn, & of course Jeff Ruby's secret recipe cheesecake will all be staples of the Louisville menu.
Styled after the great NY steakhouses of the 1930's & 40's, Jeff Ruby's promises to be as pleasing visually as it is to the palate. French art-deco design, plush mohair upholstery, hand selected antique furniture and cinematic crystal chandeliers anchored by a 1950s-era antique featured in the Starz series Magic City and the 32 foot wall of wine.
8 oz Filet, Mushrooms, Brandy Cream
14 oz 28-Day Wet-Aged
8 oz Prime Patty, Herb Aioli, Caramelized Onion, American Cheese
I have never had a subpar meal at Jeff Ruby’s and this was no exception. We ordered from the raw bar and had the 2 for $99 special. It was AMAZING.
Every detail about s spot on and all personnel from valet to hostess to wait staff were friendly, helpful and courteous.
We dined here to celebrate my boyfriends birthday. The restaurant itself is stunning. I thoroughly enjoyed the decor. Our booth table was perfect for our special occasion. The service was fantastic. Brittnee, Colin and Jill were wonderful and provided us with a truly wonderful evening. The food was amazing. My steak melted in my mouth. Some of the best oysters Rockefeller I have ever had. My creme brûlée was fantastic. Truly wonderful evening.
Ambiance seems to be the biggest focus. Really cool vibe. Cool bar area. Servers took fantastic care of us. Felt like a valued guest. Neat memorabilia to look at too.
For a steakhouse was really not impressed by the steak. Got the dry aged bone in strip. Hard to judge with just one trip but really nothing special. Also had the sushi. $24 for 8 pieces of sushi, you have high expectations. It was just OK. No different than any sushi place in a strip mall. However, the sides were fantastic. Mac n Cheese and Brussel sprouts were great. Also highly recommend the homemade ice cream.
love this place.
We had a wonderful time celebrating a birthday! It was personal, fun, and the waiters were amazing!
This is one of my favorite places but the service has went down hope it gets better in the future think our waiter was not a good servicer
We were seated in a quiet dining room reminiscent of an Old English study with a fireplace, where horse and jocky portraits lined the walls. Our server John, was very helpful in helping us make our selections. He was knowledgeable and attentive as was his assistant Grant. We did not have to ask for anything. The food was fantastic. Perfectly prepared. What a treat!
Always the best. Never had even an average experience here. Always above average. Food is amazing. Staff are amazing. Environment is amazing.
Our go-to spot for special occasions. The food and service are always outstanding.
It was my 50th birthday and the first time eating here.
Anniversary dinner was amazing as expected
Amazing food, service was outstanding from beginning to end. Recommendations from wait or were spot on!!
Great food and felt very safe with the way the handled guests during the COVID-19 situation.
Excellent atmosphere, food, and service. A bit pricey compared to the average high end steakhouse, but in this case it's well worth it. Will be back!
Good was delicious! Service was friendly!
The food was outstanding. The cocktails were very good.
The service and atmosphere was wonderful. Food was delicious as always. The filet has tremendous flavor.
Outstanding!!! Thanks to the email notification about the steak and lobster special my husband and I had a great date night
The salads were not very good and the mashed potatoes were decent at best. The steak were great but they should be for the price
As always the experience was pleasant. The staff was friendly and personable.I will blame this next criticism on Covid 19.It seemed the they were under staffed.Although everyone seemed to be working diligently to make the experience positive.I waited 20 minutes for someone to check on us for ordering our 2nd cocktail. My wife ordered a salad and decided on the oysters.30 minutes after ordering we received our order. We had a late reservation 8:30 pm.it was 9:30 before we received our 1st course. We plan on returning as we have always had a great time.My son likes to go to Jeff Ruby’s for his birthday.
We had great service. It was a bit loud in the bar area but still fun none the less.
Service as always was impeccable. Food was amazing. Drinks, including the barrel-aged Manhattan were great. Overall everything added up to another fantastic Jeff Ruby’s dining experience.
The food is delicious and you receive a nice quantity and the quality of the food is exceptional.
BEST STEAKHOUSE IN TOWN. IS OUR FAVORITE RESTAURANT IN LOUISVILLE AREA.
Best steak I ever had.
Brussels sprouts were incredible.
We had a fantastic dinner and felt safe while enjoying a night out.
During this time of Covid19, it is nice to see an upscale restaurant work so hard to observe the rules while keeping the patron well served and satisfied. The food was excellent!
Best seafood and steaks in the area. The wait staff is top notch and atmosphere is always great. The wine list and bourbon selection is outstanding.
Fantastic!!! We had not been really out to eat in 5 months!! They were prepared as much as they could be... COVID ready. As ALWAYS the food was delicious, service was fabulous and the drinks were off the chain!! Best Steak in Louisville and probably the state of Kentucky.
Can't wait to go back. If you can, request to dine in the Churchill Room!
Food was great as expected and our server Brian took great care of us! Can’t wait to go back.
The service was excellent. Interesting ambiance. The food was good but overpriced.
Great atmosphere and service. The food was just average. I have had many steaks that are better, and expected much better for a top notch steakhouse. Creme Brûlée’ was not crispy on top and the sugar was not torched well.
Outstanding, as usual. Everybody was very friendly.
We had arrived a tad bit early and was allowed to be seated anyways. The room we were seated in only had five tables and they were spread far enough apart that your conversation could not be overheard by others. You cannot hear the live entertainment but that's not what we were there for. The food and the service was spectacular. The overall experience was perfect for the perfect night out for a couple.
We went for our anniversary and were very satisfied with the experience. Our waiter was excellent as was everyone that we had contact with, from the valet to greeters. We felt very special even though it was derby day and quite busy! We had the salmon and the steak, both were our first experience with dry rubs. The salmon was delicious but, as a warning, the seasoning is very strong. The salad had a bit much balsamic dressing for us but was better than any salad we have had at other steakhouses. Overall a great time on our special day!
Best restaurant in Louisville!!! We didn’t want the night to end. Great service, amazing food and wine.
Great double date spot, delicious food
Really enjoy going to Jeff Ruby’s. Always first choice on our list of places to enjoy an evening out. Food is beyond excellent!!
