Styled after the great NY steakhouses of the 1930s & '40s, Jeff Ruby's promises to be as pleasing visually as it is to the palate. French art-deco design, plush mohair upholstery, hand-selected antique furniture, and cinematic crystal chandeliers anchored by a 1950s-era antique are featured in the Starz series Magic City and the 32-foot wall of wine.

    Atmosphere was great and hospitality staff were top notch! A great experience that's worth trying at least one. The food is definitely expensive, but the ribeye steak practically melts in your mouth. Only complaint is the steak seasoning definitely has an odd taste. I wasn't a fan, but the steak itself was cooked to perfection. Live music makes for a fun time, but the place is big enough that if you prefer to sit somewhere quieter, you can.

    Our service was excellent, Jade was wonderful!! Lobster bisque soup was awful. Tasted sour and texture was off. Ruby roll didn't have much flavor. The Bourbon filet was so good and blue fin tuna flight was lovely.

    Absolutely fantastic dinner. Josh and Abe were some of the best servers we have ever had! Great food, drinks, and desserts. Can’t recommend this place enough for a truly special experience.

    Josh and Bowen were our servers and it was a amazing experience! Me and my girls sat in the new room and got to see the new renovations . Everything from the food to the workers was amazing definitely will be coming back just to see our amazing servers again ❤️❤️

    Great food and service once you get seated. Seems like it takes five or six staff to handle the host/hostess stand. Perhaps they are metering sitting so the wait staff is not overwhelmed. Otherwise the food is outstanding.

    Love, love, love it here! The service at Jeff Ruby's is unmatched (shoutout to Chad and Deja for a wonderful evening). No detail goes unnoticed and everyone seems to be treated like a king and queen here. I would highly recommend for a special occasion, you will not regret it! Food and drinks are of course, fantastic too : )

    Very loud, and a bit chaotic. Steaks were not cooked correctly Drinks and appetizers were amazing Lots of folks wandering around but not helping staff but congesting areas Restrooms ran out of towels

    The food, service, and ambiance are all excellent! One of the managers stopped by our table to fold the napkins while my wife and young daughters were using the restroom. I told him how much my daughters would appreciate that as they were very impressed with the fold when we arrived. He took the time to come back and teach them how to fold them that way. Very cool!

    Excellent service at the bar and dining table. Bartenders, waiters, waitresses and service folks were friendly, attentive. It was clear the staff wanted diners to have a great experience. Indeed, everything was excellent. Food was cooked to perfection and delicious. Use the valet parking as attendants are great. Only $10 bucks.

    When I made the reservation, I requested to not sit at a hightop table in the bar, but we were seated at one anyway. Those chairs are very uncomfortable and we were seated at a table in a high traffic area so next time I will definitely request something else. It wasn’t very private. I usually get the fillet at Jeff Ruby’s (which is amazing) but this time I got the bone in ribeye. It was good, but not as good as the fillet. The lobster gnocchi was good, but I would go back to the macaroni and cheese or mashed potatoes on my next visit. We got the ham board for an appetizer and the ham was so salty, I could hardly eat it. The pimento cheese, however, was the best I’ve ever had. Overall, this wasn’t the best meal I’ve had here but I still enjoyed it. The service was impeccable.

    We had the perfect meal for our 33rd anniversary. The service was impeccable. Chad and Grant took care of us wonderfully. They were both very friendly and anticipated everything we would want. The food Chef Zac prepared is the best. Everything was so delicious that it’s hard to pick a favorite. I loved the atmosphere and everything about the restaurant. Would highly recommend!

    Our food was incredible and our server, Michael, made the entire experience remarkable. This was probably the most memorable experience I’ve ever had at a steakhouse in all the best ways. 10/10 recommend to anyone looking for a great meal in Louisville.

    Food was awesome. The service was excellent. I had reservations for 4 at 8:15 and we were seated at 8:15 on the dot. The only thing I didn’t like was the noise level, but that is just a preference. But I would definitely recommend it.

    We had a wonderful experience and our service was impeccable. We were nervous about dining with two little ones, but everyone treated them with dignity and respect. It was greatly appreciated. The service staff was kind and patient. They offered recommendations where appropriate, but also gave us space to enjoy our meal!
