Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse - Louisville
Jeff Ruby regulars will be pleased to know that their favorite signature items from the Cincinnati restaurants will be well represented in Louisville. The bone-in filet, the 7 cheese baked macaroni, creamed spinach, truffle flake creamed corn, & of course Jeff Ruby's secret recipe cheesecake will all be staples of the Louisville menu.
Styled after the great NY steakhouses of the 1930's & 40's, Jeff Ruby's promises to be as pleasing visually as it is to the palate. French art-deco design, plush mohair upholstery, hand selected antique furniture and cinematic crystal chandeliers anchored by a 1950s-era antique featured in the Starz series Magic City and the 32 foot wall of wine.

Truly amazing, we had a wonderful time, can’t wait to come back❤️
There is not a better steakhouse in Louisville. Always happy to return!
Sad to say my favorite restaurant has disappointed the last 3 times
Crab cake , lobster tail, and salmon were excellent. We enjoyed our dining experience.
Had a great time celebrating my sons 21st Bday. The service and food was excellent!
Wonderful atmosphere! Food and service were amazing!!!
Amazing in all aspects
I had the petite filet mignon and it was full of flavor and melt in your mouth delicious. We also had the chocolate cake for dessert and it was superb. Look forward to dining there again in the future.
This was our first Jeff Ruby experience in Louisville and it was just as wonderful as the Nashville and Cincinnati locations. Even in the midst of COVID, we were able to "step away" from worry and relax while enjoying a meal out. Our food was remarkable, our service was incredible, our waitress was a dream come true; if only I could remember her name.
Without a doubt we would recommend Jeff Ruby, Louisville! We will be back next year to celebrate our anniversary again!
As always-great! Seated in the back so it was extra quiet compared to the main room.
This restaurant was very nice and lived up to its reputation of being one of the best! Although the steak was very good, it was not the best steak that I have ever had, especially considering the price of it
Always great service and food.
It was our Anniversary and this is the ONLY restaurant in Louisville we want to be on our special day! Everything is always fabulous. I always love the filet! Ambiance is tops in the entire state and a wonderful place to dine for special occasions or simply a regular day at a great establishment that checks all the boxes.
Perfect food and service. Only complaint which is minor, is I ordered a dessert to go and the portion was very small and was missing the berries. Other than that food was amazing.
The BEST in Louisville - food and service! Highly recommend!
Outstanding food and service, also great pricing, thanks.
Karen provided superior service to complement the excellent food and wine. We’ll be back, but not soon enough.
Jade was our server and was fantastic. We celebrated our anniversary and it was a wonderful experience at Jeff Ruby’s as always.
Outstanding Service. Great food. Expensive, but worth it for a memorable night out.
Always outstanding food and impeccable service. Donny took great care of us.
Phenomenal!!! This is the best steakhouse I have ever been too!
Excellent food and service. Would recommend for anyone looking to go out on a special occasion/ date night.
Went for my wife’s birthday! Always amazing!
Get the sushi! Everything exceeded our expectations.
Very pricy but worth it for a special occasion!
Showed up 15 minutes before reservation, they seated us early. Atmosphere was great, food and service were even better. Would definitely recommend and we’ll definitely be eating there again.
The macaroni and cheese was cold and the Asparagus was very plain. The steaks were nothing special. The ruby roll was amazing.
Dinner was wonderful. Loved the ambience and truly enjoyed every dish we tried. Our server was knowledgeable and very attentive.
We Celebrate our Anniversary at Jeff Ruby’s every year. The Louisville restaurant is fantastic. Never had a bad experience in this restaurant.
Before retirement I planned all my business related dinner meeting here.
My favorite place to eat in Louisville. Food and service was perfect. Amazing ambience with Robbi Bartlett!
Best meal I have had in a very long time
Jeff Ruby's met and exceeded my expectations. The food was impeccable the service was flawless and the atmosphere even with the Covid-19 restrictions was perfect. Will definitely be back.
Jeff Ruby’s never disappoint. This was our first time dining in the bar area and we thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, food, and service. Thanks for another wonderful experience.
Pros:The restaurant is very entertaining to look at. They had delightful live singer. The noise level was appropriate. Although they are observing COVID procedures, it didn't feel like a medical ward/warzone. We received top notch service. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. The sourdough bread they serve is amazing! We got a couple sushi rolls. They were good. My husband liked his dry aged steak. He particularly loved the seasoning and seared outside. My kids got burgers, fries and fruit. They liked the burgers, the fries were crispy. The fruits were a fresh assortment of berries.
Cons: I wanted to order the salmon but didn't want the risotto and artichokes that it is served on. I would've preferred asparagus, green beans, or small salad. None of which come with the salmon.
(You can get a separate family size order of sides)
I ordered the chicken milanese. It was over salted and rubbery. Very difficult to cut even with a steak knife. Doing so, sent a cherry tomato flying off my plate. The lemon butter sauce tasted like salty movie theater butter & had a plastic-like look to it (like frosting). I thought it was disappointing that a $30 (peice of chicken) dish didn't include a side. My dish and options were disappointing.
Overall, it was a good experience. I expected to have our socks knocked off and it didn't happen. It was quite pricy to not like my entree and menu options. I think there is better food elsewhere. I'm glad we went. It was a fun experience. A little over-hyped and overpriced. I would pick elsewhere.
Awesome! As always.
We haven't been out to a nice restaurant since COVID hit...and it was such a great treat. We felt very safe and everyone had a mask on. Tables were spaced nicely and it was a relaxing evening. The food was the normal outstanding taste and quality - quantity too!! Thank you Jeff Ruby's for the wonderful evening!!
Always have a great experience.
Outstanding service, food and atmosphere. I highly recommend for meeting, socializing and special occasions.
