We had a wonderful experience. Food was amazing. We ordered for brunch. Omelette, brioche French toast, fish & chips, BLT, Ruben, and the burger. We had to get the duck wings so good!! Everything was hot, and delicious. Service was on point. A very nice Saturday!
A fabulous gem. Great atmosphere, service and food.
highly impressed, much better than i expected. Lovely atmosphere. Cant wait to go back. Will go again!!!!!!
Tatiana was our server, she was very professional and friendly and helped us enjoy a fine Easter Sunday afternoon. Haven't been to JHI in awhile, and it was a really nice visit. We want to come back when the weather is warm and we can have drinks outside. And, of course, the SpeakEasy!!
Easter Brunch was fantastic. Always a treat to visit This restaurant. Staff are always friendly and accommodating.
The food was excellent but the environment is even better. The Inn is beautiful and full of history. Every room has it's own personality. I can't wait to go back again. Stay there if you can! The breakfast in the solarium is a magical experience.
This Inn is just historic & beautiful & the restaurant is perfect & quaint. We arrived & were escorted to the best table right in front of the fireplace on a pretty raw night. We had the muscles & cockles which were wonderful & just enough to split between 2 people. I had the salmon for my entree which was cooked perfectly & I requested mashed potatoes instead of the roasted red potatoes that were on the menu. It was amazing. My husband had the parpadelle bolognese which he said was excellent. We would recommend this restaurant for a romantic quiet dinner!
Amazing meal by the fire place great service a little rushed
The Jedidiah Hawkins is among one of our favorite restaurants! We discovered the quaint inn and restaurant several years ago while on a visit to the local vineyards. The food is exquisite always and the ambience is exactly what one looks for when wanting to escape over a romantic meal. My husband and I will be back as often as we can!
Never a disappointment here. Cozy bar with tv and a good menu that changes often. Dinning area with fireplaces and a speakeasy downstairs!
Dinner was delicious... We loved the pappardelle! Definitely will dine at Jedediah again the next time we’re in Jamesport!
Great ambience ; great quality food ; would like to see more expansive menu
Staff was unprepared as was the location.
We have eaten here many times and have always enjoyed our meal! This time we stayed overnight! The rooms are beautiful, the service outstanding and the food delicious!!! The next day we had pastries at breakfast that were by far the best we have ever had!!! Jedediah Hawkins made my 60th Birthday very memorable!!! Highly recommend a visit to this Inn!!!
celebrating my husbands retirement . The food was excellent ! the atmosphere services were also excellent! Tank you for a wonderful evening . Would highly recommend and will return.
Had an amazing Valentine's Day here, service was on point even though they were obviously busy. Wait staff were very thoughtful, decor was relaxed yet chic, and of course the food and drinks were amazing.
We had heard so many good things about this restaurant that we decided to go there on Valentine's Day. They didn't have enough wait staff that night. Everything was slow. After waiting about a half hour, the man next to us asked if he could get some bread. The waitress brought out the wine list, without saying anything about the complimentary glass of champagne that was advertised on their menu, clearly a ploy to spend extra money, as that was never mentioned until I asked about it halfway through our entrée. The duck confit flatbread appetizer had one piece of duck on it. It should have been called the sun-dried tomato flatbread instead, as that was the primary ingredient and taste. My entrée (monkfish) was good, but not exceptional. My husband did say his steak was good and the oysters were great. Needless to say, we will not return.
Ambience, food and wait staff was excellent. Very cozy. Normally we spent about an hour an a half at dinner. We stayed 2 hours and 15 minutes and received complimentary champagne before dessert. Very nice touch.
This was a girls brunch celebrating our friends birthday. Loved this place it was a perfect way to celebrate with great friends. The food was amazing a bit pricey but we were ok with that because it the ambience of this old house impressed us all. We will go back again soon!!!.
Would recommend highly. Service and food outstanding
The restaurant met all my high expectations.
This restaurant has great ambiance and a Victorian feeling. Staff was very accomodating. Drinks were strong and mixed well, wine list was weak with mainly NoFo wines. Food was average for this caliber of venue, over priced. Beef was not evenly cooked and selection of meat very average cut/quality. Fish selection also very slim, and my wife's dish was over cooked with bland preparation. Again, over priced for the caliber of food presented. I am not one to write a negative review, but the food was not exceptional, only average. If the beef and seafood dishes were very creative and highly selected the restaurant would be worth going back.
What a great surprise. We were told about this special place by some great friends who stumbled upon it by chance. Well here we are and it’s more then we could have imagined. From the basement speakeasy the our main floor dinning experience. I must say it was over the top. The wait staff, the ambiance, the food!!! We will be returning. Great Great experience!
Have been before and enjoyed ...this time, menu totally changed and not very Fish friendly. The only fish entree was a codfish, and the others were all shellfish which 2 in our party could not eat because they are allergic. Last time the menu was mush more varied. Will check the menu online before we go next time.
My husband and I stayed at the Inn for the weekend. We had a wonderful time. The staff was very attentive and the ambiance was very elegant. We dined at the restaurant on Friday night and everything was delicious. I had the mussels for appetizer and the cioppino for dinner. The seafood was very fresh and the broth was awesome for dipping bread. My husband had the short ribs and his only complaint was they were a bit salty. The breakfast on both days was outrageous! Fresh baked pastry, yummy yogurt and omelettes were outstanding.
I highly recommend going for dinner or even better take a weekend and get the full experience.
Service was Terrible, food has seriously declined and was ehh at best. Way over priced for the terrible service and mediocre food. Step your game up, you guys used to be so good!
Too cold in the atrium. Shaved fennel, no flavor. Everything else was great, but for my cold toes, not pleasant.
A New Year early bird dinner fixed price food was good service was good but room was too cold on their porch. We ate with coats on.
Beautiful location, contemporary cuisine, wonderful service.
We really enjoyed having our Christmas Eve dinner there!
Celebrated Christmas Eve at this restaurant. It was a wonderful atmosphere and the service was fantastic. Everyone was so friendly and attentive.
Only one thing - no holiday decorations!
I have been there before and enjoyed my meal. I was very disappointed in my meal.
I ordered the pasta dish which was drowning in pesto sauce.
The service was excellent.
Lovely atmosphere, very accommodating staff , wonderful menu so nicely presented .Would most definitely return .
Just had another great meal at Jedediah's. New chef is fantastic. The place looks beautiful for the holidays. And as always, the staff is incredibly welcoming: from Colin the manager to Donna our server, we were well taken care of. A great night out!
Nice, lovely quiet evening. Only a few tables. Was a pre-Christmas dinner with my dad and his female partner. Food was excellent. Service also superior.
The food and service here is always exceptional, which is why we keep returning. Highly recommended!
I would return even though I thought the food was so-so. Slightly bland which others have told me was unusual. The ambience, the staff, the lighting was magical. I shall definitely try it in different seasons.
JH is a beautiful setting for a special dinner with family or friends. The speak-easy downstairs is a great place to have a drink before dinner. The service is excellent and the food is very good. The house is a great setting and very unique.
This restaurant is living off of its prior chef/s. This meal was terrible. The quality was mediocre, the presentation terrible and the taste absolutely awful. Contrived and annoying setting as well. Our server was pleasant. The only positive part of the meal. After eating there we began to hear from others that it really took a dive. That is certainly true.
the location and the building are unique. food was fine . did not have main menu item (short ribs) at 6pm on a Sunday.
