I and another guest were violently ill after having the winter tasting menu. Jean-Georges was not prompt in responding to the issue after contacting them (requiring multiple phone calls) and was unable to identify the issue.
Amazing service along with superb cuisine.
Minor complaint- vintage listed was not the one served, somm could have been more attentive. We had to ask to start pouring second bottle after glass was empty for over 10 minutes
We had a fabulous lunch. It was one of the finest meals one could expect to encounter!
Jean Georges continues to be a superb restaurant. We had an incredible dinner!
I have been a regular customer at Jean Georges for the last five years. However, the quality in recent years has declined. I am assuming they have changed the pastry chef - as the desserts are not as heavenly as they used to be. They also need to refocus and do something about the presentation and temperature of the main course. Ambiance remains unbeatable!
It was a great Sunday lunch. Great ambience, exquisite food and fantastic wine. Perfect winter lunch!
As outstanding as always!!! This is our favorite spot for a special occasion. The food is amazing and the service is impeccable.
The food and service were excellent. The ambiance was a classic Jean George, lovely. It would have been near perfect, however, the dinning room smelled like a kitchen. More like being in a diner. It was unfortunate to Rob the fifth scenes from its role to enjoy such an experience.
Superb all around dining experience!
Loved it. Amazing staff, food, experience...we will be returning on our next trip to NYC
I love the apertisers but need more work on the main course
The food and service were outstanding. The ambiance is nothing special.
My food allergies were handled with professionalism and grace. The meal was fantastic and my guest noted that this was the lovely dining experience she had ever had.
The steak was served with a miso mustard blend that left my girlfriend’s tongue numb for the rest of the day.
Sea bass was delicious but like the other dishes, it was a little on the salty side. Orange sorbet was a delightful dessert. If you decide to dine here, you have to try it.
Service staff are snobby, curt and at times clumsy. Was planning to provide feedback about our experience to the staff but they did not even ask whether we enjoyed the food when we finished.
At this rate, Michelin stars will not be the only thing they’d be losing.
I’m not being picky here. It’s just an average restaurant. No wonder they took away one of the stars.
The food is just okay but nothing surprising. The service was okay but did not match its reputation. It was noisy because of people outside.
I would definitely recommend people to try other two-star restaurants where they will give you surprise instead of just okay food and service.
Well organized, choreographed food presentation.
Food well executed mass produced gourmet.
We ate house classic tasting menu, upon recommendation of waiter.
A good meal not great lacking WOW
exceptional wine pairing.
Great business model, out shadowed by others
Phenomenal food and service. Caviar starter is a must.
If you like fine dining this was an amazing experience. I went for lunch and the quality of the food is very good, as would be expected. The fixed course was filling and the service is outstanding.
As always, perfect.
Always extraordinary cuisine and stellar service. The true definition of fine dining.
This was our first visit, we are now hooked. Food was fantastic, layered and textured with different flavors.
Service was fantastic and non-presumptuous.
Beware, alcohol is very expensive here. We didn’t care but some may.
We came for our 10th anniversary. Food was delicious and gorgeously presented. Service is top notch. The interior of the dining room is so understated and beautiful. A truly perfect evening.
The wine was just too overpriced. Everything else was great.
Fantastic experience! Food was unbelievable... Bravo!!
It was quite an experience to have Friday evening dinner with my friends. The food was absolutely spectacular, not to mention the desserts as well. The service was outstanding, they weren’t hesitant when I asked for an abrupt birthday service. Though it was requested quite late, they successfully gave a personlised cake for my friend.
A real pleasure! Food, service, ambiance were all excellent!
Very well executed menu with solicitous service. Beautiful dining room but tables too close to permit private conversation. But the star is food and drinks. Must try cocktails and a spectacular wine list that includes some big name label by the glass. Highly recommended for a special occasion.
Food was so unnecessarily spicy. Good deserts
We liked the food and service but we didnt like the fact that some of the guest wear dressed in hoodies and trainers.takes away from the atmosphere.I think dresscodes should be enforced.
Jean George’s lunch prefix is an exceptional value when you consider its food quality, taste, service and ambiance. Our family enjoyed Sunday lunch celebrating birthday
As always everything was great! We have been here a number of times, have taken other people here to celebrate occasions (this is what this place is all about). However, for the first time, there was an issue with the food as the venison was way too salty. Maybe an anolomy. Otherwise everything was exceptional and the service could not be better.
everything was perfect. however, i told the waiter that we were celebrating a birthday but there were no accommodations made at all
Fantastic experience! Only caveat was that my date'e wagyu was medium rare when he ordered rare. It took 20 minutee to remedy the problem. I would expect more from a place that is otherwise impeccable.
Food and portions were excellent. Service was great. Everyone was knowledgeable about the menu. We left feeling very full and very satisfied!
Food was really great, and amazing service
Excellent!!! A truly memorable experience!
Every aspect of a wonderful high end dining experience is present at Jean Gorges - aside from one critical ingredient - the food.
The service was quality, the wine selection impressive - but we found the food to be unoriginal, tired and poorly executed.
Perhaps 10 years ago it was haute cuisine - now it’s just an average restaurant relying on its brand. Such a shame.
