Went for the Dine LA lunch. Started well in an elegant dining space and courteous service. Appetizers, salmon entree and desserts were tops. Had an issue with the Wagyu steak entree—meat was tough to chew even after additional cooking from medium rare to the medium we ordered. Was told that’s the way it’s supposed to be, but Wagyu meat is a high fat content meat and should be as soft as butter. Manager offered us 10% off the bill which didn’t meaningfully compensate for a lousy main course. Our server Michael was top notch.
Loved it. The food & service was outstanding. Thank you Waldorf Astoria for such a lovely afternoon. We would love to return.
I've been to Jena Georges in New York, but this was my first visit to the Beverly Hills venue. I went during DineLA week, and I and the rest of my party enjoyed the special DineLA menu, and the wonderful, enjoyable attention that was paid to us. The first course was a combination of sea urchin and caviar, and when I remarked to one of the other diners that it should be enjoyed with chop sticks, the next thing I knew was we all had chopsticks! Although we brought our own wine - and incurred a hefty corkage fee of $65 - they served us the wine pairings for two of the courses, for which the sommelier thought our heady, Bordeaux style wine was not quite right. That was a particularly thoughtful and generous thing to do. Finally, a shout out to our waiter, Bryan, who contributed greatly to our enjoyment of the evening!
The service was phenomenal from the valet to the wait staff. The salmon, shaved Brussels sprouts and truffle mashed potatoes were absolutely delicious. I will definitely be back.
I went there with my mom last Sat for Dine in LA 2019. It was an incredible great fine dining experience. The food is very delicate and fresh. I would recommend this place to friends for a special occasion, such as anniversary or birthday.
Service has not improved. Inattentive. At first class restaurants you don’t have to waive your arms to get the attention of someone- anyone be it a waiter, captain, manager or busboy- to get a water refill. Food is not interesting. Except for the great truffle pizza. Why would I recommend this place? Quiet enough for a business meal or a date when you don’t want noise to drown out conversation. And the pizza.
Elegant but not fussy. Pricey but well worth it. Only complaint is $15.00 valet fee- with validation!
We go there often, however on Jan 5 we went for my birthday, it was excellent as always. We love everyone at JG.
The Lewis’ 🥰
Service knowledgeable and attentive. Ambience attractive, open and quiet. Excellent food and wine. Well located.
Absolutely wonderful restaurant. The food was delicious and the staff took very good care of us. Would recommend for a date or any special occasion.
Had the best meal, service was top notch. Overall could not have been better.
The lobster “curry” was bland and watery— nothing like curry. The rest of the dishes were varied, none exceptional. One glass of wine each and it came to 200/person. I strongly advise against this ripoff restaurant.
My husband and I visited the restaurant for our tenth anniversary. The restaurant is beautiful. Seating is comfortable and intimate. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. All in all a memorable occasion.
So impressed by this experience. The service was excellent. Everyone was so kind and attentive. The food was superb. Can’t recommend highly enough! Nick and Jordan and everyone really made me feel special and taken care of.
Magnificent evening! I would highly recommend this restaurant
Exemplary service, amazing food, friendly, fun atmosphere, everyone in my group had a great time, is my new favorite place.
Silly to expect anything less then perfectly delicious, inviting but innovative food from JG. A pleasant experience all around from cocktails to service to cuisine. We were able to make a last minute reservation for the outside area, it was secluded but we loved it. Still beautifully decorated, comfortable and warm. Won't disappoint.
The ambience and the food was superb. What really put it over the top was the service. Really good service, starting with the hostess who counseled me on table selections in a very sweet way. I I am a foodie and do not repeat very often because of the numerous options in LA. That said, I will definitely repeat.
After spending $700 I’d expect parking to be covered, but no, we spent an additional $120 on parking WITH validation.
Elegant dining room, and very good service.
Is Jean-Georges himself still connected to this outpost? Or has this become a franchise? It sure seems like the latter - the food was good, but not sublime, as one who frequents J-G in NY would expect. But the service has fallen to a new low (in a reastaurant which has faced declining service over this past year). The matre d’ did not even pretend to be gracious, the wait staff had to be flagged down to get service. Don’t expect to get your water glass refilled without first waiving your hands in the air, signaling a need for help. All in all, a huge disappointment with a huge bill. And, by the way, don’t let them sit you in a curved banquet where there is a huge piece of rigid wood under the seat cushion designed to inflict discomfort.
As part of my brunch I ordered: eggs over-hard with hash brown. The eggs were burnt black! Can you believe that?! And the hash brown was what they called: Smash brown, which was a tiny amount of mashed potatoes encapsulated in a deep fried dough, which was dark brown!! I did not eat any of it. Paid for it and left.
Best place in LA to eat if you are looking for ambience, service, and amazing food. An overall exceptional food experience with some of the best service I have ever experienced. It’s a MUST return.
Love the ambience, great food!
We appreciate the restaurant making an accommodation on their pris fixe menu to match online!
A great meal
This restaurant NEVER disappoints.... it is hands down the BEST
Great as Always. Great Food, Great Service & Great Ambience. But very very pricey as always.
For 4 of us, it was $700. OUCH.
I have dined there multiple times. The first few, after Jean-Georges just opened, were excellent. On par with Jean-Georges in NY.
Now service is slack but acceptable, but the food has suffered. It is due to the local chef. He is mixing ingredients that step all over each other like urchin and crunchy shoestring potatoes. The subtle, creamy texture of the uni is completely lost in the big, spiky crunch of the potato as is the uni’s taste. In other dishes warm spices kill the other ingredients, along with Jean-Georges’ premium wine list. Why select an expensive wine only to have it destroyed by a spicy hot steak?
This chef has to go. I see no reason to return while he’s there. Such a disappointment.
Excellent food. Excellent service
The restaurant has improved dramatically since its early days. Glad we finally came back to discover its improvement.
Parents came into town and celebrating the holiday season
Like everthing except price of ice tea - $11 for a 20 cent cost is not value. Would not order next time. Understand cup of coffee is $12 why?
Our experience was extraordinary. Mimi, our server was delightful. Her energy, coupled with the superb cuisine, made a our night one to remember.
Food was excellent. Lower, dark ceiling would have made room more intimate.
A few glitches with service even though at 5:30 restaurant was nearly empty
We came here for brunch, the outdoor environment is pretty chill and quite, but the food is just ok.
We celebrated my Birthday. We were treated like very special guests by all!! The Cuisine, Wait Staff and ambience was outstanding. Thank you to Jean-Georges Beverly Hills at the Waldorf Astoria for a wonderful Birthday celebration!! We look forward to returning very soon !!
Lena our server was excellent with great food knowledge. She really helped us enjoy our tasting menu to its entirety.
Mr. Sprenkels did an exceptional job and really helped us solidify a fantastic dinner for a birthday celebration that was one for the books.
Food was fantastic- everything was tasty and kept us wanting more with each bite!
Food is always soooo yummy @ Jean Grorge, he is truly skilled at what he is doing. Thank you for the delicious and at the same time not too pricey meals . 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
