   We heard that the live entertainment on Friday night was going to be discontinued. If that is the case I doubt that we will return. Too many other restaurants that have much better quality food for the price; we were there for the entertainment

   We booked well in advance and on 26th Dec JDs cancelled our booking even though their own website said they were open. We were out and we only found out that the restaurant was closed when we got there. There was a voicemail when we got home but the cancellation was too late as we were out. Jds should inform open table so that my mobile app could have notified me so I could make other arrangements. The was no reason for the cancellation and they have not responded to any of our messages. Very poor they could at least contact me and offer a discount if we go there again.

   Ok, we were at JD’s on Saturday Dec. 21st. Service was awful, food ( we had the duck) was very bad, took three hours for dinner! Music was good, atmosphere lovely. Won’t go back for a long time!!

   We split the rack of lamb (8 ribs) and the the oven roasted vegetables. As always, we started with the chef’s pate and brought half home for the following day’s lunch. Our server was a little chatty given the number of tables she had but overall the service was very good. The jazz was very good. There was a large party in the other half of the room so it was a little noisier than usual but not so much that we couldn’t talk or enjoy the music.

   Heard a lot about JD's, finally went there with a date. The entertainment was superb, the Salmon Oscar was the best I ever had, even my date commented on it. The Chicken Picatta was very good also. I gave it a four on atmosphere as I likened it to the old TV show 77 Sunset Strip which brought back memories and a five rating, but my date thought the interior to stark.

   Was disappointed in the quality of my steak, potatoes and broccoli. Was not a good value for as much as the evening cost us

   In the Port Charlotte area, this is the best fine dining around. Cool music and great martini's.

   Absolute perfection for a dining experience! Server was friendly and efficient and set the tone for the evening. Thank you Raffi! Loved the martinis and the food. Music was the perfect level of entertaining and all around ambiance was sheer pleasure.

    JD's is one off our favorite restaurants. The food is excellent, but what sets it apart from other fine restaurants is that it presents live jazz as well as excellent food. We go there on Friday nights because that is when the Danny Sinoff trio plays, and they are excellent! It is the best jazz one can hear between Sarasota and Fort Myers. And, the small restaurant provides intimate contact with the music and the musicians. We have been coming here for years, and will continue to do so as long as Danny shows up on Friday evenings.
