I have been to JB's on numerous occasions. It is, for me, a local Jamestown spot, and It has always been a good pick. Food is consistently good, portions, large and wait staff friendly. I would have rated this last visit all fives across the board. But despite requesting standard (not hi-top seating) we were placed at a high top table in the bar area. This location was decidedly noisier than at other times when I have sat in the dining room or off to the side of the bar. It was explained that diningroom seating was not available because a private party would be using the room. However, If I had known this in advance, we would have chosen a different restaurant. I will return to JB's in the future, but perhaps make reservations by phone and ask more questions. Unfortunately my out of town family members will not all be together again for some time, so the chance of us returning as the same party is not likely.

My Salmon was too well done and not warm enough. I wish our server asked me how I wanted it cooked. Otherwise, all was excellent & we will return.

The table was ready when we arrived and even adjusted to make our group more comfortable. Everyone ordered something different, and no food was left on the plates when we were done. The food was great and nicely presented. Our waitress was attentive and helpful even though she was covering several tables. The dinner was a pleasant experience. We will certainly return.

Our friends from out of state loved the night from start to finish. Loved the location/view, the food and cocktails. The staff was friendly and accommodating as always. Thanks again for another great experience!

A little pricey - 4 of us $250. Beautiful location. Food was solid. Salmon delicious. Lobster roll ok. Fish tacos good. Cavateppi very good.

We enjoyed the whole experience at JB's and we will definitely be returning! The spicy cod dish was cooked perfectly and it was flavorful. The winter pasta dish was creamy and delicious. Our berry crisp was very good, too. Our drinks were perfect and the expresso martini was a great end to the evening. I can't wait to sit outside on the patio when the weather gets warmer!

This was our second time at JB’s on The Water. This time we sat inside at a window table with a beautiful view of Newport Bridge. The food was very tasty and cooked to our request. We were able to switch out starchy vegetables. Service was top notch. We will be back again.
