Excellent food, beautiful view from the window table, great server, BUT we made a 6:15 reservation because 6:00 was unavailable , arrived timely but we’re unable to be seated until 6:29.

From the minute we entered the establishment it was a pleasurable experience. We had a few minutes to wait, so we hung out at the bar. The bartender was kind, efficient, and helpful! Our waitress, I believe her name was Tiffany was outstanding! She was knowledgeable about the menu. When she didn't know the market value of an item, she asked the chef and our question was answered. We were also visited by the chef's wife who was delightful to chat with. We enjoyed the entire experience and will be back!

We eat at JB Hooks quite frequently and it never disappoints. We always have excellent service and great food. It is our go-to restaurant at the lake! Thank you to the staff who always are very professional and also very engaging.

Arrived for dinner at 6:15 promptly escorted to our table. We both ordered the Manhattan fish dinner. It was excellent. One of our favorite places to have dinner.

Amazing food as always. Top notch restaurant. I've traveled the world and this one is one of the best in my opinion. Expensive, but worth it, especially for special occasions.

Was our anniversary and wanted a nice meal. This did not disappoint. Best prime rib i have had in a very long time. Happy hour was a plus.

After reading all the reviews expectations were high. Food was WAY overpriced! And not that great! Service was ok. Not going back that's for sure. Not worth it at all. Don't waste your money!

I have been coming here for years and last few years prices have been steadily increasing. In my estimation the prices have increased across the board in excess of the inflation rate. Last night, to my surprise, not only had the prices increased again since my last visit but the portion sizes had been noiticeably reduced. A double wammy to my previous love of the restaurant. I may return for one of my favorite dishes but it will certainly be less often. Sad, but true.

The food was very buttery and oily. The vegetable side was not edible. It would be wonderful to see healthier options like salads and gluten free options on the menu. The service was impeccable, but for the price the food could be better.

Our entrees were delicious but the shrimp topping the entrees were seriously overcooked. It was our first time eating at JB Hooks. The crackers and cheese spread were delicious also.

We ordered food and the waitress didn’t bother telling us the market value of the lobster was $130. I definitely would have thought if it was that expensive since it was almost half of our meal in price she would’ve mentioned it. Also, it took us almost 2 hours to get our food and the place was maybe 1/3 full.

We had several locals tell us to eat here and thanks go out to them. Great food and even better view of the Lake. Waited longer than expected even with a reservation, but were rewarded with a table facing a picture window.

We go to Hooks roughly 1-2 times per year and the food is always fantastic. Despite this visit where the vent hoods were down and they couldn't charbroil or grill anything, the food was still outstanding even if only oven-broiling or pan-searing were the only options. Good job adapting. Even Mr. Hooks came around and asked us how the food and service was, which was a welcome move, as it's always nice to see the owner involved and interacting with patrons. The market-price food is going to be expensive, so just know going into it that it'll be an expensive but well worth it meal. The staff appears very VERY young, but there were no complaints and despite their age-driven lack of experience, performed as if they'd all been doing this a long time. Again, highly recommend this place anytime you want a wonderful dining experience down at LOTO.

Another fantastic experience at JB Hooks. Took friends out for dinner and as always had a wonderful experience. Excellent view accompanied by great service, drinks and food made for a fun night out. Keep up the good work!

The food was cold. They wanted to warm up my husband's tundra but it hadn't been seared in the first place. Green beans were cold also. Just a little disappointing this time around. Normally they do a great job.

The first table we were given was not very desireable. I asked for a better table, and within 5 minutes they gave us a new table, which was excellent. Our waiter was very efficient, and served us well. He was not very personable, but polite. That's not a complaint, just an observation. We've had servers before who were much more personable. I did tip him $30 on a $130 tab.
