Jazzmine's Brasserie

We had top service and the food and drinks were very good. The smoked manhattan is highly recommended.

Our server was absolutely wonderful, so professional, and so sweet. The chef came out and spoke with us after dinner we told him how wonderful everything was, he was very thankful outgoing, we enjoyed his company.

Very good service and food. Hostess and waitress were great. Sorry the number of people were so small. We did order earlier for drive up it was also very good. The times are tough but the Retlaw restaurant has always be slow in the past. Not sure how you get more people. Be will be back.

Our first visit since Jasmine's reopened following the safer at home orders. While we were almost the only guests that evening, the service was excellent by the bartender and waitress, and the beverages and food were excellently prepared and presented. Very clean and changes made to accommodate social distancing, and staff offers to wear mask or face shield if you desire. Very pleasant evening!

I've frequented this restaurant several times. It is my new favorite and I travel over half an hour in order to dine there. I've always had the same outstanding young man as waiter He is always so efficient and pleasant. The talent of the chefs in our little corner of the world is outstanding. The marble floor, live music, great food, presentation and ambiance are very enjoyable. I often dine in NYC and Chicago. Jazzmine's offers a fine dining experience.

Open Table didn't get the reservation to the restaurant so when we got there, they didn't have it. Luckily I showed them on my phone the confirmation as it was Valentine's day at 7:00 p.m.. What's going on with your system Open Table?

Amazing food and service

Pro: ambiance, complimentary appetizer, and lemon-cello at the end of our meal, live piano music

Con: some of the dishes we ordered where underwhelming. I ordered the House Smoked Salmon Salad which included Twists of Lemon, Watermelon Radish, Cerignola Olives, Capers, Balsamic Dressing.

What I received was limp lettuce with a piece of smoked fish. Service could have been more responsive to our needs. For example, drink orders, water refills, checking back to see how our food was etc.

I would give the restaurant another chance it may have been an off night. Some of the people was with had very good meals.

What a wonderful experience! The food was delicious (as always) and the service was great. We’ll be back, for sure!

Atmosphere and food were excellent. Food was served at a good pace and did not feel rushed. Will definitely be back again.

Well let me just say I live in the Fox Valley area and usually have to drive to Milwaukee or Chicago to find a restaurant even close to the caliber of Jazzmine's Brasserie for a romantic anniversary date with my lovely wife. First off- I love a good whiskey, bourbon, scotch or 2. The bartenders 'presentation of the barrel aged hickory smoked glass manhattan's is like no other and a real treat to watch make and then sip on. Then the live piano music puts even more romance in the ambiance of the place along with the modern atmosphere and comfortable circular booth we were seated at-Thank you Cynthia. The Rixen dish is a must have as you can tell Executive Chef Chanze takes pride in great tasting menu items with excellent presentation as well. I wish to thank the entire team for the best anniversary night we had in 35 years without the long drive! Thank You!! -Darrell and Beth

Great atmosphere, especially with watching the snow gently falling outside. Upscale yet casual. Live piano and stylish interior. Steak was made to order and had an excellent taste. Lean cut and sauce only added to flavor. Best steak in the city. No additional pepper or salt needed. Price was reasonable for occasion. Enjoyed the experience and is now added to my places to go list.

Wonderful experience start to finish. Great service, great atmosphere, great food, great value! We were very pleased with our experience!

Drinks were very good. Bar was a little noisy from people moving in and out of a large wedding reception in the ballroom, and post Badger game fans. Service was very good. Food was excellent. The complimentary appetizer was unique and delicious. The décor in the lobby and restaurant is impressive and beautiful. Will definitely return.

Carla was our server. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and great. I had the seafood melange and it was delicious. Very reasonable prices, beautiful and great ambiance.

This is honestly the best dining experience I've had in Fond du Lac in a long time. The service could have been more attentive. But the food and cocktails were very good. Overall it was a very enjoyable experience.

We had an amazing time at the beautiful Hotel Retlaw. Gorgeous atmosphere, delicious food, and amazing staff. You will not be disappointed. The Seafood Mélange and the Chocolate Balsamic Duck were superb. The server was excellent at making recommendations and extremely polite and helpful. We can’t wait to tell our friends and come back again soon!

Many entrees to choose from for brunch and great place to meet friends and chat without a lot of background noise. Service was great.

This is a very nice special occasion place or anytime you want to make someone feel special. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is very upscale. The service was also excellent. I always enjoy a piano bar. This was the second time I dined here and enjoyed it both times.

We stayed at Hotel Retlaw for 5 days and discovered this unexpected gem (Jazzmine’s Brasserie) right in the hotel lobby. We went on a double date with my sister Marilou & her husband Efren. The food was amazingly tasteful and the staff/service was excellent! We truly enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant and the extraordinary live music (piano and vocal) from Chris and his musical family (his wife Marie and his parents, Gary & Jackie) who were also there dining/visiting). I even got to sing a classic song “Unforgettable” with Chris, the musician!
I would absolutely recommend this restaurant/hotel to my family/friends and anyone looking for a place to stay/dine.

Everyone was friendly from the time we entered the hotel to the time we left.
Food was excellent. Dessert outstanding. This was our first time but it won’t be the last. Chef Chanse is out talking to the guests. He gave us a special tour of the kitchen and ballroom. The areas were beautifully set up.

We are local to Jazzmine's and this occasion was our anniversary, which the host noted (Thank you!) The space is perfect except the piano is a little loud if you are sitting close to it. Our meal was pretty and very tasty, as we have come to enjoy. To us, a part of a restaurant's merit is how they fix boo-boos. There was a small mistake in our service and the floor manager and server fixed it quickly and above our expectations.
Come here knowing you will get wonderful food and excellent service. If you find something wrong, let them know and they will fix it.
This isn't just 'going out to eat'. This is dining. Plan for it.

The food was good overall. There was no side salads, just large salads that you had to pay plus of $7.00 for. The surf and turf was good but not what you would expect; the scallops were tiny, the steak was cut into pieces and served on bread then everything was covered in a cream sauce. The atmosphere was great & the piano player was excellent.

A very pleasant surprise that I did not know to expect as we wandered through Wisconsin. Really appreciated our wait person and the chef coming to visit with us. The food was excellent.

Decor is amazing! Nice selection of dinner entrees. We enjoyed a wonderful evening celebrating our friend’s anniversary.

Restaurant is beautiful and provides live music from 5-8pm daily (piano and bass). The duo was magnificent, took requests, and provided a great ambiance for the meal.

Steak was ordered Medium and blackened, came out closer to Med-Well (no pink), but was juicy and delicious enough that wasn't worth sending back. Will definitely be back for another meal and drinks.

Beautifully remodeled as a part of the Retlaw renovation, Jazzmine's is a gem in city not known for its fine dining destinations. Great service, good wines (though I wish the list was a little deeper), and nice atmosphere with a piano player at the bar. We both had the Rixen Surf and Turf and it was fabulous! I think this will become a regular stop. No complaints, a great experience.

We had a wonderful evening with friends. We all know the chef and he was gracious to come and visit with us. The food was done well, the presentation was pleasing and the flavors very tasty. This is where you come when you want to dine, not just eat. Pour some wine, take some time and enjoy the evening. This place is not cheap, and you get what you pay for.

Great food & great service! Would love to go back again

We had a group of 7 dining here for lunch, and overall were quite impressed with this establishment. Our only complaint is that it took what seemed like a long time to receive our food, especially with the place being not very busy - there were only maybe 4-5 other tables with 2-3 people each, so having to wait 30 minutes from order to receipt felt a bit long (5 of the orders were the same simple sandwich and salad, 2 were chicken and pasta). However, the service was very good and the food tasted fantastic. If you're not in any kind of a hurry or have a schedule to try to keep, it's an excellent dining experience!

Food was good, but services was not to standard of this cost of restaurant. Also I think the menu could be more local.

We think this is a really nice addition to the Fond du Lac food scene. The restaurant is focused on high end dinning and the prices show that focus. The overall ambiance is really nice but other as people have said it is very black and white. The bar is small but had enough staff to keep up with more than a couple people. The servers are great and work really hard to make sure you are happy for the whole dinning experience. Last but not least the food, it is good but some of the portions on super small for sides that cost five to seven dollars. The meat is cooked well but my wife's was a little more than medium when she asked for it at medium. The deserts are good and my wife really like the brown butter cake. The deconstructed tiramisu tasted good but really was coffee ice cream with two lady finger cookies on the side.

Food was very good and menu items very interesting. Service was very good and attentive. Décor is beautiful. The dining setting is intimate. The music (piano) was overwhelming in volume. The piano sits next to the bar, and between the bar and dining area. When at the bar and in some areas of the dining room, you can't have a conversation. The music should enhance the dining experience and atmosphere, but this was too loud. Overall, the rest was very good.

I am not a fan of so much black, it seemed sort of dull inside. Maybe a pop of color with flowers would be nice. The piano and bass players were excellent and it added to the dining experience. I was not impressed with the wait staff. I had questions about how some of the food was prepared and our waitress had no idea, was not able to really explain the dishes and didn't give me the impression she had a passion for what she was doing. I would suggest that the wait staff samples the food and is knowledgeable about preparation and flavors so as to make recommendations when someone is debating between entrees. The food was good, we both had the lentil and coconut soup and the smoked salmon salad and Asian chicken salad. The chicken was a bit dry and parts of the salmon had a hint of fishy taste to it. Overall, the restaurant was clean but it was obvious that it just opened as I could see masking tape where drywall outlets and switches were put in. The wine list had some good choices, however, I would suggest more wines from other countries, as well.

Delicious food and awesome service. The new decor is beautiful. Looking forward to dining again and trying more menu items. So glad our city offers this type of dining and hotel.

Excellent evening overall. Highly recommend. Look for an expanded menu with more seafood choices
