Jazmoz Bourbon Street Cafe - OKC Bricktown Ratings and Reviews
This is the second time we've dined here. Both times were Valentines Day. Last year our waiter was extraordinary. We asked if he was here this time and learned that he is a manager. That's terrific. Our waitress was extraordinary this time, too. My wife and I ordered the blackened filet mignon medium rare. It was perfect. The wine was a nice cabernet. The calamari appetizer was wonderful. We had a great time and great food. We will be back more often.
I made a reservation 2 weeks in advance of Valentine's day, but when we arrived, were seated in a very crowded cafeteria like setting. I would expect that from a last minute request, but not 2 weeks in advance. Also on the way to the crowded room, we passed some booths of a more intimate nature. Wonder when these folks made their reservations. Half of these booths were empty as we passed. However the food was good and wait staff was terrific.
It was a pleasant experience. Loved the ambience; live music was nice. The live performance is broadcasted in various areas, including the bathroom! The volume differs depending on where you are seated as well. Waitress was not pushy to order items, which is good for us to reacquaint with the menu.
Started with the crab dip and it was excellent. My wife and I both had the crawfish etouffee. Tasted great and was a generous portion. Could have shared and been satisfied, especially since we followed it with the seven layer chocolate cake and ice cream. We thought we would share the cake for my wife's birthday. It was too much for two of us to eat, But of course we loved it and ate as much as we could. Our waiter was very friendly and did a good job. The setting along the canal is also very beautiful. We will definitely be back.
One of my favorite bricktown restaurants, but you'd really think that they'd make sure that they had enough waitstaff before a Thunder game. They sat FOUR tables in the same section with ONE waiter within minutes of each other. He was having to go from one to the next to get the drinks, orders, etc. I'm sure THAT is the reason that it took us 40 min to get our food EVEN THOUGH we placed our order when he introduced himself and to get our drink order. Even though most of my experiences have been above average, sadly it was my guest's first time. :-(
Good food but a little overpriced. Only place I’ve ever seen burgers that didn’t come with fries.
Specified in reservation “ a table not too close to band” bcuz it was so loud last time we were there. Both to times we literally sat right in front of the stage. Nice music but couldn’t enjoy our friends conversation due to the noise level. Not at all crowded when we arrived could have been seated plenty of other places. Enjoyed the music but given the venue I think band should be background ambience not concert attraction.
We tried out Bourbon St Cafe, and it did not disappoint. The overall experience was really great, and our waiter, Tyler, really made us feel at home at this locally owned restaurant. We were in a bit of a hurry because we were going to see a movie at The Harkins theater, and when we told Tyler this, he made sure to get our order in at the front of the line. The only regret I have is that the Po-Boys would have been perfect with more authentic 'dressing' the NOLA way with a tarter sauce base mixed with the ground mustard smear that was on it. The gumbo is WORTH IT! Try a cup as an app, and you won't regret it. We would definitely come back here again.
I go to Bourbon Street grill ONLY for the Cajun Chicken Fettuccine. It has always been amazing. However, this time it was so overly seasoned with cajun spices that It was not eatable. My husband had Fried Shrimp and french fries. The fries came out cold (not even luke warm). We told the server and he ordered new fries. The new fries came out hot and amazing, according to me husband. He was a little bummed that his Fried Shrimp was by then cold. (Not a problem if your a person that doesn't mind eating one thing while waiting on another, unfortunately my husband prefers to eat things together.) The server did not offer any fix for either my daughters fettuccine or mine. His response to it being overly spicy and uneatable was "sometimes they get a little heavy handed with the spices back there." The creme brûlée was awesome. It was frustrating to spend $100 for a family of 4 only for 2 of us to go home and forage for dinner because our entrees couldn't be eaten. I just felt like the server should have offered something different, a talk with the manager, anything, something. Won't be going back.
My wife, 2 college age children, and their friends enjoyed the meal, music, and atmosphere on New Year's Eve at Jazmoz. They were gave out beads in the New Orleans tradition, which was a nice touch, and the live music was just the right volume to have dinner conversation but a pleasant ambiance.
The food was very good, and the staff was nice and efficient. We will definitely eat here again!
Perfect place for anniversaries/proposals. I had the most amazing night. Rachel is always so happy and makes me feel fuzzy inside. The atmosphere is amazing and the food comes in big portions and tastes amazing. Customer service and attentiveness is on point. I can't wait to come back to try something new!!
They are very focused on customer satisfaction. We made a minor comment to our waitress about an issue we had with the oysters and within minutes the manager had delivered to our table another 1/2 half order of fresh oysters to our table and apologize for the the quality of the first batch we had received. Keep in mind the issue was minor and we would have gladly paid for the first order we received but this was over the top and we where very pleased with this level of service.
Highly recommend this restaurant and know you will be well taken care of!
