I loved the Red Beans and Rice!!!!!! I will most definitely be back to have this dish again.
The food was great. Our server did not have much of a personality. The band that was playing really made our evening meal enjoyable.
The half shell oysters were good, the crayfish etoufee was excellent and the stuffed shrimp also. Everyone in our party was very pleased and us Louisiana born folks were impressed! The band was good but too loud for conversation. It was as good a restaurant as we remembered.
Love their food. Fun place. Gumbo and red beans and rice excellent. The blackened catfish (blackened anything) is great.
I’ve always had good food here. I tend to forget about this place but it is a definite must try and I plan to go more.
We loved the food and atmosphere. It was the best baked seafood I have ever had.
Date night with wifey
This is a fantastic place! There was a love jazz band that was amazing and the food was delicious! Slightly higher priced but you pay for the ambiance and location and the awesome food! Totally worth it, great date night!
Server Tyler was very good, very knowledgeable about the menu. I had the Ponchatrain Porkchops which was very good except for the seasonal vegetables which was mostly stewed squash a lot of stewed squash. My wife ordered a steak after Tyler told us how they cut their own steaks and how wonderful the meat they used was. Her steak was so tough she could not chew it. Tyler noticed her disappointment with the steak and took it back. Someone I assume the manager did comp our ticket $20 which is more than most restaurants do. But my wife's meal consisted of mushrooms and a side salad. She was never offered a replacement entree. We never saw a manager to apologize for the poor food quality. While Tyler made our experience in the restaurant very pleasant I can not recommend the food of this establishment.
Nice location & the jazz band is a nice touch. The food was good & fresh. We will be back
Thoroughly enjoyed the patio seating and food was excellent. Only complaint was we never got the appetizer we ordered but they apologized and took it off our ticket. Will definitely go back!
Wonderful ❣️, we had a great time... Worth your time and consideration
Good waiter. Good food.
Great dining experience -- excellent food; excellent server
We had a reservation and were not seated until 20 minutes after that time. It took 10 miutes to get water after we were seated. We ordered at that point and chose not to order any other drinks as we were unsure how long that would take. One of the members of our party got the catfish and it tasted like it had been cooked three days prior. We were comped two appetizers when we related our displeasure with the wait time when we had a reservation.
There were three young ladies at the reservation desk and we had to keep checking with them and they didn't seemed concerned. They just kept saying the party had not left the table and the turn around would be short once they left. They finally sent someone to check on the table and we were told they were cleaning the table.
Love love this place, great food,.fantastic drinks. Always get gread service
This was our second time dining here and everything was great. We loved the Alligator Bites and the Blackened Cajun Catfish was the best my husband has ever had. We will be returning soon.
Loved the atmosphere with the jazz band and low lighting. The food was very good, as were the drinks. Our server was on top of everything.
Had a great time it was my daughters birthday and they took good care of us the band they had sang happy birthday to her it was an awesome time
Awesome food every time!!!!!!!
Food was bad. Calamari was obviously fake. Every single piece was exact same size and shape. Ordered the ribeye medium rare and it came out grey. I have never had a grey steak. Maybe boiled? Don’t know what caused that. Everyone else’s food was also bad. Service was exceptionally slow. We do not intend to go back.
So glad we selected this restaurant for my mother’s 70th birthday celebration! Great food, great service!
Had a birthday party/girls night out. When we arrived we asked for a table for ten. The hostess was very rude and said we could only sit outside. When we said it’s too hot we will wait for an inside table she rolled her eyes and said it would be 1.5-2 hours. We said ok we will wait. I then got on open table and it showed a table for 10 was a 20 minute wait so we booked thru open table. This really made the hostess mad. The server dropped a drink on one of our guest and just left and then dropped utensils on two people when clearing the table. It was the worst experience ever.
Its easy to find and easy to park nearby. Their menu offered something for all of my large family of picky eaters. The service was prompt, friendly, couldnt be better. Our drinks tasted great and came quickly. They actually waited to make sure my husband as he cut into his steak was satisfied with it. He asked them to cook it a little more and they quickly did so. I look forward to going back.
I love this place it is one of my favorites and will always come here. Thank you for the great experience
Anniversary dinners. 12 and 55 years. My parents and my husband and I.
We had the crab dip which was amazing. Also oysters on the half shell and crawfish etoufffee. Both really good. The service was very good!!! We were very happy with the restaurant. The Froze drink was very refreshing, too !!!!
I ate here and it was good.
We really enjoyed our meals. Our server Stephanie was terrific. She made us feel welcome
Highly recommend the restaurant
A disappointing experience. Service was lacking. The grilled shrimp was overcooked, waiter forgot to bring some of one order. Won’t go back on a Sat evening again.
stop in every year when taking my daughter back to college. Food is usually outstanding, but i decided to try something new this time(sirlon and bacon wrap shrimp) and should have stayed the course with my two favorites and would have surely been happy. Ill be back for sure
Would like to suggest that the server not divide the tab evenly without first asking group
We made a reservation and only had to wait a few minutes to be seated. The waitress was attentive. The food arrived quickly, correctly, and warm. It was a good experience.
Friendly service good food
Food was below average for the price.
Our overall experience was ok to good. We were there on Sunday and the service was slow - more than 30 minutes between the orders and the arrival of our dishes. However, our waitress gave us good service.
The food was not as good as our first experience a few months back. The grouper was really good the first time we were there. This second time I ordered Bourbon Street steak (sirloin) and it was just okay - noting to write home about, which was a tad disappointing. I will still recommend Jazmoz for overall value and taste.
We have been to Jazmos several times before, we have always had high remarks in the past. But service last Saturday evening was not up to par. We arrived 10
Minutes before our reservation time and were told they would get our table ready and seat us in 5 minutes. That was not the case, there were 4 “hostesses” who seemed to be more interested in chatting than doing their jobs. 25 minutes later we were seated- our “hostess” who sat us acted as though we were inconveniencing her by needing to be seated. My husband had the seafood pasta, the shrimp were literally rubbery, like they had been cooked, refrigerated and then stuck in the microwave. I had the stuffed shrimp (one of my favorites at Jazmos) 1/2 my shrimp were good, 1/2 were way over cooked. The crab they were stuffed with was dry, and Burre blanc sauce was runny and barely there. The “steamed/sautéed” vegetables were raw, and basically uneatable. My FIL has the beef short rib and said it was very good. My MIL had the stuffed shrimp also and was pleased with her meal. We are not usually such harsh critiques, and as mentioned previously we love Jazmos- but this dinning experience was below par for them. We will be back, but it will be a long while before we are.
Being a native of Cajun country, I found the food to be a very poor interpretation of Creole/Cajun recipes. My "seafood saute" had almost no seafood, but was mostly mashed potatoes and undercooked vegetables, and no flavor. The dirty rice that came with my wife's blackened catfish was overpowered by chili powder and cumin which do not belong in cajun rice. Everything was overpriced for the quality.
Wonderful restaurant for all occasions. Food was absolutely phenomenal, the service was great and live music was very good!
Raised prices on most Menu items by about 25% without adding to portions or presentation. :(
