   I brought my mother here for Mother’s Day, and both of us were extremely impressed and satisfied, not only with the food, but with the impeccable service that we received.

   We have been coming here for many years for Mother’s Day brunch, and while the waiter was good and attentive, some of the dishes were cold that should have been hot, especially chicken masala - super disappointing. Worse, we asked to be seated at a table with a better view of the entertainment, but the hostess refused, and the table sat empty for at least 45 minutes. And it’s not like they finally sat Beyoncé there almost an hour later. It was a smaller party than ours and there was no apparent reason to treat us badly for them. It was very offputting as we have been customers of this restaurant for years and have gone for Mother’s Day brunch probably eight out of the last 10. It’s always the hostesses who are rude, too.  They come across very cheesy and touristy, when it’s the locals they should be extra-good to, as we come year after year, and many times throughout the year. It’s such a competitive city for dining that I’m surprised they don’t make more of an effort. 👎🏼

   If you're looking for a brunch that makes you question whether you've entered a five-star resort in Bali or just strolled into the heart of South Beach—Jaya at The Setai is your answer. We came for Mother’s Day with two kids in tow, and left wondering if we had just stepped out of a dream (or possibly a very chic food fantasy). First off, hats off to Jaya for pulling off what is essentially the Super Bowl of brunches—Mother’s Day—and doing it with elegance, abundance, and zero stress (even with young kids in the mix!). The team has hospitality down to an art form, greeting us with genuine warmth and keeping things flowing like the endless rosé. Let’s talk food: this is not your average “here’s some scrambled eggs and bagels” buffet. This was a gastronomic voyage—a global brunch odyssey with stops in Japan, India, Italy, Thailand, and somewhere that only exists in culinary heaven. From fresh sushi and dim sum to expertly carved meats and made-to-order omelets, every station was a hit. The dessert spread alone deserved its own zip code. And the kids? Entertained, happy, and well-fed (which, as every parent knows, is the true brunch jackpot). Whether it was the colorful macarons, mini sliders, or fluffy pancakes, they were just as wowed as we were. The courtyard setting is serene, with that signature Setai soundtrack of soft breezes, ambient music, and clinking champagne flutes. It somehow manages to be both luxurious and completely relaxed—no small feat with a holiday crowd. Jaya, thank you for making Mother's Day feel like a family vacation, fine dining experience, and culinary world tour all in one. We’ll be back—probably on a random Sunday, kids in hand, pretending it's Mother’s Day again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 10/10 – Would brunch again (and again... and again).

   Service was poor, server did not check on us. When it was time to pay we had to find him to charge our card.

   Food was excellent. Hostess at the front desk was not pleasant at all. Kind of created a bad start to what was a special dinner for my gf for her birthday. On top of the poor attitude, I was told that it would be a 35-45 minute wait before I can be seated. I arrived about 5-10 mins before my reservation. The server was not interested in creating a memorable dining experience at all. I felt like the personalized service was missing and myself and perhaps every other guest was only seen as dollar signs. I was never offered a refill on my beverage, and I was seated next to the side station so I heard every conversation the staff was having. My chair was bumped a few times how close it was to the side station, along with a menu hitting me in the back of my head. There was no Check back by the server after we received our food. Then, the server has the audacity to inform me that any additional tip is a personal tip so feel free to do so. I wanted to say “your service was non existent”. Did I enjoy my meal? Yes, however quite a few steps of service were missed which prevents me from rating this restaurant higher than its competitors.

   We recently dined in Jaya and were truly impressed by the quality of the food and the amazing atmosphere. Every dish was delicious, and the ambiance made for a memorable evening. However, I was very disappointed by how our experience ended. After spending over $600 on our meal, we asked to order an additional bottle of wine, only to be told by our server that our "dining experience was finished." We were informed that if we wanted to continue enjoying fine wine, we would need to move to the bar area. Servers just disappeared. While I understand that restaurants have policies and time limits, the way this was communicated felt abrupt and unwelcoming, especially after such a significant spend. It left a sour note on what was otherwise a fantastic evening. Great food and atmosphere, but the service at the end was a big letdown.

    not great, I don't think I will be coming back. They put us in a far away table, not outside even when we had a reservation at least a couple weeks in advance, food was mediocre, lots of people in the way, we've been to better buffets in Miami.
