Javier's - Century City

One of my favorites. Javier never disappoints
2 out of the four people in our party were sick the next day. Food was served lukewarm and was not very tasty.
Service was nice. Atmosphere on the patio was good - inside the noise level makes it impossible to have a conversation.
We went for a birthday lunch and the service and food were very good! The atmosphere was relaxed and it is truly a beautiful restaurant. The 4 stars as opposed to 5 stars is due to the fact that it is very over priced for Mexican food.
The vegetarian enchiladas were amazing and the service was top notch!
Service here is Excellent! From being greeted to escorted to our table, smiles all the way. This is my 3rd time dining here and it’s the one restaurant where I order something totally different off the menu, and each time my selection never disappoint.
Recently, we stayed so late the lights came in and the music cut off, but they were so understanding...but my GF of 20 years and I apologized lol.
I highly recommend this oh so trendy-chic establishment to anyone wanting a cool vibe with great food!
I would love more plant-based options on the menu. We had a great time and it’s a fun place love the happy hour!!
I love the food and everything about the restaurant except for the price - it’s a bit pricey...
Really enjoyed the ambiance and service from the top shelf pre-dinner drinks in the bar to the seated dinner all was handled very professionally without being too intrusive. Particular note made on the spacing of the tables, seems like most provide a reasonably private dining experience without feeling isolated. Our server, Michael, to exceedingly good care of us throughout the evening. Excellent, look forward to visiting another location next time we are Stateside.
The food at Javier’s is exceptional. High quality mexican food. There seafood is of the highest quality. They serve wild caught mexican white shrimp, which are the best quality shrimp on the market. That is not common in today’s restaurants. The drinks are amazing aswell.
The food was excellent but charging $45 for a piece of fish is absurd. I do not mind paying a premium amount for a great lunch but this is price gouging.
Noise level is extremely high but it has open access to out doors.
Everyone is very friendly, out going. Engaging with guest good.
The food was great and the ambience was amazing. I always have a great time there
Service was great but the food wasn’t worth the price. Place is nice though.
Delicioso love the music, vibe, servers all good!
Tried to kick us out of the dining area that we reserved a space in, because we weren’t ordering as much food as they wanted us to.
Fantastic food, great margaritas and super service. The waiter recommended a great tequila for shots and i even tried the 8 oz filet instead of traditional Mexican and he was right it was great. Great evening. Outside patio with heaters was perfect too.
Quality food, perfect Margaritas, great service. Beautiful relaxing atmosphere.
Found this place through OpenTable; it was indicated as a moderately priced Mexican restaurant, and I could tell the place looked great from the pictures, so I met there for a date. I wish the restaurant's menu online had listed their prices, as I was pretty disappointed upon getting there to see how expensive much of the menu was for things you could easily get elsewhere for less than half the price! (And we're both students, so it's not always easy to splurge at restaurants.) Like, $30 for enchiladas, for instance...and that was on the lower end for entrees. That being said, our service was great, and the restaurant's decor really was fantastic, which made for a good dining experience. The food was also quite good and plated beautifully...I just don't know that it was worth it for the price, plus Javier's doesn't validate for parking at Century City. We both had an enjoyable time there, I just wish they were more transparent about their pricing on their online menu and would validate parking (there are other, less pricey places at Century City that do validate, so I don't see why Javier's wouldn't). They have a pretty extensive drink menu that looked good, though we didn't order drinks because of the food prices, so maybe if coming back here, it would make sense to come just for drinks and enjoy the beautiful ambiance.
Food was excellent and service was great! Everyone with our party really enjoyed their fu
The restaurant was beautiful. The staff were very attentive and courteous. The food was delicious!
First time there for my boyfriend n I n we loved it. Erica was out waitress n she did an amazing job!.
Service was friendly and efficient, from the hostess, to the person who guided us to our table, to our server. Beautiful ambience, great food, excellent staff. The happy birthday singing was over the top (we had to hear it at least 3 times during our dinner and it was very loud). But otherwise great experience!
Had a terrific time. Every single employee super attentive. Always asking if you need anything else. My father was super happy to celebrate his birthday there.
Given that they have the largest selection of Tequila, I would have expected wait staff to be better briefed to talk and educate diners about the various types of Tequila's according to taste.
Food however was excellent.
Took my Mom on a date it was her first time she was in live with the enchilada sauce , I’ve tried the salad previously and I love it but today I got a real dish ny strip , chicken enchiladas, with taquitos so yummy everything was great
It was way over priced and located in a mall. Never again.
Where to start..... this experience was subpar at best. Between the terrible service from a waiter who forgot our drink order so many times we finished the appetizers and didn’t get our first Margherita until the entrees.
The food was decent. The steak was over cooked.
The prices are absolutely outrageous for the quality of service we received. This was the unanimous consensus of the party who had all never been there before and will likely never go back.
After asking them to make a customer service effort if removing the margaritas from the bill that almost didn’t even make it in time before the bill. They declined. It was insulting and offensive.
The only redeemable quality of this restaurant; the buildout is quite nice but unfortunately everything else falls short.
I hope they can consider that to warrant those prices ($450 for party of 4... for quesadillas and enchiladas) they must improve their quality of service.
Can't wait to go back to this place. Loved the margaritas. I had scampi in butter garlic sauce.
Second time. Food is just okay. Was sat in outside patio in back again. Was cold....low ambiance level. Drinks are borderline decent. Completely different experience than the OC location. Won’t be back.
It was truly a wonderful experience. Best food and service ever!
Our waiter was amazing! And they have a separate vegan menu, couldn’t have asked for anything better for our large group
Great food and service. Noise level is ridiculous....party central making conversation, even among 4 people sitting at a round table, difficult. Also very dark.
The food was wonderful but, we were not at all impressed with the drinks we ordered for the price we paid for the. The decor is wonderful and the service was wonderful as well. I have read a lot of reviews regarding the noise level and it was fine, not to noisy, I guess it depends on what time you go. Check your bill though because they may overcharge on something you should not be overcharged for. Make sure your bill reflects the price quoted on the menu.
The food was awesome!! I bought my son that is home on spring break he enjoyed it!!
It was amazing, the restaurant is very nice and the food exquisite! Definitely one of my favourites in LA
I was in Sunday night with 2 friends. We were all celebrating our birthdays together. The food was great, the service needed a bit more attention. We became scared and ordered everything at once because our waiter would disappear and not come back for as long time.
I also mentioned that it was a birthday celebration for three--I guess since it was for all of us, we didn't get any birthday song or even an offer for dessert.
I mentioned it in the reservation and the hostess asked as we were being seated... Still no acknowledgement. We all felt a bit slighted from it.
The food was delicious though but having a table in an area close to the main aisle walk thru isn't recommended. Very noisy and busy.
We'll definitely be back... Just hoping for better service next time.
Great. I had my daughter’s fiends with us and they had a blast.
