Javier's - Century City

Always a great place to enjoy consistently good Mexican food & jalapeño cucumber margaritas!🎉
Generally amazing, food is spectacular.
Javier's is a high end Mexican cuisine restaurant. The noise level is moderate which is fine as you can have normal pitched conversations with your party/group and not be overheard or hear the group beside you. The food is delicious as well as the drinks. Comfortable seating and nice ambience. Pricing is a little high. I believe the cheapest meal starts at $26 and can go up to $70 if not more. I've had similar menu items at other places for 1/2 to 1/3 of the cost. Service was good, but I did feel the waiter took a little long to service our table at seating, drinks took about 15-20 minutes. Overall it was a very good experience but something I'd do maybe once or twice a year due to pricing.
Our waiter was exceptional. Had a great time and the food was delicious as always
I thought the restaurant was very pretty, but the food mediocre and overpriced for what it was. It was the blandest guacamole I have ever had and we had to ask for additional salsas and limes (they brought lemons instead), to make it tasty. Other than the chicken that was grilled for tacos or quesadillas, the food was mediocre, and with the prices that they are charging, it should be better.
The noise volume is outrageous. There were no quite tables that I could see.
They also had a bathroom attendant in the women's restroom. Somewhat pretentious. I find bathroom attendants unnecessary, yet feel guilty if I don't tip them, even though there was nothing on her tray that I was interested in or used.
Upscale Mexican food with excellent quality and outstanding decor.
Always a very good dinning experience. Service is tops and the food is high quality. Noise level on a weekend night can be rather high. Overall a good experience.
Javier’s is not only in a beautiful cavelike facility it has delicious food and wonderful service. From the delicious margaritas (jalapeño for husband, Guayaba for me), ahi ceviche appetizer, marisco enchiladas, filet arriero to the fresh chips and salsa the food was perfect. Our waitress was psychic with seamless service, never an empty water glass or delay. If we lived in area we would frequent Javier’s... will definitely be back. My only regret was not having room for dessert!
Continues to be a regular spot for business and personal meetings - always a lively place, great food, strong drinks and awesome service.
The experience was amazing from the moment I walked in and spoke to the hostess, waitress and the food.
Incredible experience and I will be returning!!!
The comfort, pleasingly unique surroundings, and delicious food & beverages makes for an energized and positive experience when dining with business clients.
Great ambience. Food is good. Little high priced for the overall experience. Probably will not return. Possibly will try happy hour.
Always a great time here. I go to Javiers often and always extremely satisfied with the service, margaritas, and food! Worth all the money.
Worst part was credit card machine going down
The atmosphere was beautiful and relaxing! Truly enjoyed myself!
This was our first time to Javier's. I'm so glad we came! The restaurant is a fresh experience, and the food is splendid. I already have recommended it to several of my friends. You won't be disappointed.
The location is nice and the environment is inviting. The issue is the food. Very lack luster and missing on flavor. I have been to the other locations and this one is by far the worst in term of food preparation. Disappointing as I am a big fan of the Newport Beach location.
Service was outstanding!! Best place in century city.
The food was delicious, my father is very picky and he loved everything!!!!
Our server was very attentive, informative and took great care of us. The food was delicious. The steak fajitas were incredible. And the quest fundito was to die for. I love Javiers. Always a good experience.
Busy for a normal Friday on LA but service was great. Food and drinks were great.
Exorbitantly priced. Noise level was impossibly loud. Ambiance seemed chaotic with very little quality service or food. We couldn’t hold a meaningful conversation and couldn’t wait to get out. For example the The Beef Taco Dinner Entree was actually two appetizer sized tacos with a small portion of rice and a small cup of beans for $26. I cannot recommend this restaurant for any reason.
Just ridiculous prices. $40 shrimp rancheros for lunch, literally got me four shrimp.
Enjoyed this trip, small 3 person dinner in a great booth with view our over the restaurant. Strong cocktails and prompt service - one thing that does put me off like a lot of other restaurants in the US, hate people clearing the table whilst some of us are still eating. Wait till we are all done 🤨
The food at Javier's is always fabulous, it never disappoints. It's a fancy menu with some great seafood options. Javier's is a bit pricey, but we know that the service delivers. The restaurant itself is GORGEOUS but you do have to deal with street noise, which can be a bit annoying. Not a great date place, it's pretty loud, but perfect for groups, happy hour, etc.
Jazzy looking place, but the food does not live up to it. Service was great.
Have been going to Javier's Newport beach for many visits. We are so delighted to have Javier's Century City. It is another version, however still amazing.
Always a pleasant experience. Service staff is great !!
The food was Excellent, the service was Outstanding - our waiter Oscar was great. His recommendation for the three seafood enchiladas was spot on. I really enjoyed the food. The only drawback is that it is a bit loud in the restaurant. I am definitely looking forward to the next time.
Birthday so much fun!
Had an amazing time, food was great. Worth every dollar! Will be Visiting again for sure.
Decent high end Mexican food, with a nice atmosphere and good service. Just a little pricey
I wasn't happy about waiting an hour to get our food. Yes, we ordered one steak, but it shouldn't have taken an hour. The other entrees were served cold while the steak meal was very hot. Also, it didn't like that that there is no children's menu. The food tasted good if you like cold tacos and enchiladas, rice and beans. The order ticket was apparently lost then found which contributed to the long wait, but no offset in service to compensate for their mistake and our unhappy experience.
Food was amazing very fast service as well most definitely be going back!
We were celebrating a birthday. The hostess and server went out of their way to take care of the cake.
The birthday song was enthusiastically and melodically rendered and the cake cutting (including ice cream) were promptly served. Great experience.
Awesome service. Food was delish and our server made great recommendations.
Javier's was the perfect choice for an early morning Father's Day brunch. The dads loved it!
I went to Javier’s in New Port Beach with my Mom and Sister for Mother’s Day for the first time and everything was amazing. I took my husband to Javier’s in Century City for Father’s Day because I raved about how good it was and how great of a time we had inn Mothers Day during our visit.
Upon our arrival to Javier’s, my husband and I were immediately seated. However our waiter took forever to come over and greet us. He was very disengaged as if he simply just did not want to be there. There was such a long wait between order drinks and getting them as well as the foods we had to ask other waiters to send him over several times.
I ordered the same thing that I’d ordered at the New Port Beach location minus one of the Enchiladas. So instead of the trio, I opted for the crab and lobster enchiladas (without the shrimp). The lobster enchilada didn’t have the same rich green sauce as it did when I order in New Port Beach. When I asked the waiter he shrugged and said that’s just how it comes. I ate a little and brought the remainder home... didn’t enjoy it as much.
We ordered the chocolate cake desert and asked if it could be warmed. The waiter said yes and took forever to bring it to us. By the time we got it, it wasn’t warm.
By this time, my husband was over the experience. We sent it back and the waiter then said he could warm it for us, but we just wanted the check at this time.
Although the Century City location is closer to us, we’ll visit the New Poet Beach location going forward.
On a good note, the Century City location has better salsa! 😁.
