Javier's - Century City

This is a gorgeous setting with a rich mix of textures and inviting areas. LOVED that the salsa has a kick and that the chips are crispy and not greasy. My chicken enchilada in mole sauce, accompanied with refritos was totally satisfying. Our only hesitation - our server forgot key details, not once or twice but several times. Sigh!
The food was cold and undercooked, drinks were watered down (one margarita had no tequila at all) and the service was terrible. When we complained about the margarita, the manager refused to do anything about it, blamed us for not saying anything as soon as it was served, and actually took a second margarita we had ordered off the table when we asked the restaurant to take the first one off the bill. We ended up paying for both, even though we left the restaurant immediately after our encounter with the manager without drinking the second one. The manager at this location is disrespectful and rude. He clearly takes no pride in the restaurant and does not care what customers think. Patrons who come to this restaurant generally have the means to dine wherever they like. There are so many great options with much better food and service. Choose one of those!
Our first server wasn’t quite helpful, however we got lucky when second server took over our table. Best service!
Food wasnt even close to being worth it for the price. Can get mexican food for 1/4th of the price that tastes way better. Very disappointing
I would recommend Javier's to a friend because the quality of ingredients used make all the difference in great tasting mexican food, the ambiance is beautiful and service exceptional
Delicious food and excellent customer service
Good just too loud and glare at our table.
In all fairness, I wish there was a "maybe" choice for whether or not to recommend. The bar area is really great as were the chips/salsa. What was staggering was the absolute inflexibility. My wife asked for some really simple modifications and was met with "the chef won't do that" or "I don't think we can do that". By simple I mean, "can you take the toppings for this dish and put them on one tortilla", etc. - we were really surprised. Combine this with a cost of about $100 for lunch which included: an order of guacamole, split an order of chicken fajitas (no tortillas), a side of raw chopped serranos and 2 Corona Premier bottles (each), you have a less than stellar dining experience. We live in San Diego and have also been to the Javier's at UTC - I know were paying for the lavish digs, but the lack of any flexibility just means this is probably not the place for us.
Great place I loved the food great drinks I would love to go back anytime
Cocktails and ambiance.
It is a great place to dine in on a daily basis as well.
Always a great meal and experience! Fun place to be anytime.
Amazing food and service. Definitely will be back
Sage our waiter, was great, thank you 👏🏻. Excellent drinks, food and ambiance.
my mango margarita was excellent, servers seemed a bit too anxious to pull plates and clear table. didn't like the dessert we choose...would try something different next time.
One of the most beautiful restaurants in Los Angeles... makes you feel like you are on a vacation to
Acapulco or Barcelona. Food is exceptional with lots of seafood options.
Do try the Jalapeño Margarita! Splurge and get a Grand Marnier floater for the top. If dining room tables not available, definitely enjoy the bar tables or booths. Great ambiance, wonderful food, good drinks. A little pricey, but about the most upscale Mexican in LA. Our out of town guest ate the Skirt Steak and said it was the best he had ever had. The bill for 3 of us was about $245.00, which was 6 drinks and 3 entrees. Pricing aside, we will continue to dine here. Side note: if you Valet Park at Westfield (literally almost right beneath the restaurant and by far the closest parking) watch the time and your charges. We only parked for 80 minutes. The cashier tried to charge us the $30 full fee for parking over 2 hours.
Great food and great service!!!! Hostess was fantastic!!!!
Everything was great except the queso. It was a little hard which makes me think it was left sitting for a bit. Other than that it was great!
Cute about euphemisms... noise level "energetic"... it was loud, too loud. Hard to have a conversation with my dining friends.
Food and service great.
Best experience ever loved my birthday dinner and how they accommodated allllll of us ! Appreciate it will be back !
Definitely a place to go if you are ever in the area! I loved Javiers. The ambience is absolutely beautiful. The food was great! Drinks were amazing. Great place!
Pricey for lunch if you get a cocktail it will be over $50 per person, however the food, service and ambience are excellent.
The food is great but way overpriced
Service and food could not have been better! Our table was tucked away in the back corner of the resto where the second bar is located (who knew?). Will definitely be back again and again and rave about Javier's to friends and work colleagues.
I had the scallops the presentation was great. The Scallops were not cooked all the way through. the Scallops could have been cooked more.
Food was good quality but the taste was just ok. Folks were nice and the restaurant was beautiful.
Service and food were amazing! Restaurant was beautiful but the music level was a bit loud. Difficult to hold conversations when your competing with speakers! Side note, valet parking closes at 10pm ! Complete disadvantage when chasing to find someone for your car
Always delicious and the waiters are happy and helpful.
Great ambient. Good for birthdays, catching up with friends, dates or just chilling before or after a movie or shopping.
We had dinner there for my husbands birthday, I did mention that when I made the reservation. Our server was terrible, once he found out that we were not going to order any alcohol he stomped off and did not come back after we put in our dinner order. We got our food and it was tasteless no salt and my Husbands Short Ribs had no meat just fat. I searched for our server for 30 mins and finally, another server took pity on us and asked if we needed anything. I just asked for the check because I wanted to run away and never return. So disappointing and I am embarrassed with how my husbands Birthday dinner turned out.
This was my first time going to this location. The other locations are good looking but this one is very beautiful and the food was delicious. Impeccable service as well :)
Not traditional Mexican fare one might be used to in Los Angeles, which is why the prices are a bit high--more compliated ingredients. However, I ordered a simple salad and the lettuce was not dried properly so it was watery. Not acceptable at all.
Everything was excellent the server was over beyond my expectation would recommend to anyone loved it
They had placed our baby stroller by the elevator where anyone could take it. Also it was cover in fallen leaves. They didn’t even care, They informed us that they did not have room for it. Even though their party room was empty. This was very disrespectful, to treat people’s property this way since we were not allowed to take it inside the table area with us. Not baby friendly at all!
It was great! Love the vibes
Everything was great from the food to the service!
Always wonderful! Great food and great service!
This place is really good. Hopefully, it stays this way for a while. The staff is friendly and efficient the food is delicious but slightly pricey.
Overall experience is awesome. A definite must-try.
Took over an hour to get food and then received the wrong order.
