   Everything was great but as soon as possible the server would go to his perch and study his smart phone oblivious to repeat requests for assistance. I understand youth, but service during busy meal hours means putting your phone away!

   Great food, fun vibe with live music. Enjoyed sitting in the outdoor covered area (heated)-- enjoyed hearing the rain on the roof while dining. Margarita flight was fun to taste and well presented. I am not a dessert person but I walked by the dessert display and was sold!

   This is a great place for lunch or dinner before a performance at Strathmore. There's an interesting and varied selection of food, plus good coffee and desserts. All the wait staff look after all the tables so you can flag down any of them for more water or another drink - very useful. We sat inside (because it was cold and rainy), but there's a covered, heated patio as well that looked lively. Among us we had the squash ravioli in sage butter sauce (tasty), chicken sharwama (very good - served open-faced), and a salmon burger (also rated very food). The tiramisu and key lime pie shared for dessert all quickly disappeared, so must have been good!

   We sat in the covered patio dining room and it was very cold even though there were heaters. The restaurant actually has blankets that they hand out to patrons who are cold so it must be a common occurrence. This particular evening, we had poor service that was rectified as soon as we spoke with the manager. Specifically we did not get menus when we were seated and had to ask for them. Then we waited a long time before we could catch the waiter’s attention to place our order. The party at the table beside ours, who had been seated after us, had already received their food and 30 minutes after we were seated, our water glasses were still empty and although we’d ordered food and drinks, nothing had arrived yet so our table was empty. Once we spoke to the manager, our food and drinks did arrive quickly and was very good. He also gave us coffee on the house and the waiter apologized for the delay.

   Service was very slow. Noise level was so high you could not have a conversation with the person sitting in front of you. Food was good and plenty of good choices.

   Table had trash on it when seated. Table next to me had water were a glass had been moved and not wiped down a people were sat I wiped it off. Waitress not attentive. Food good

   Pretty outdoor seating area w/ strung lights overhead and sweet chrome lamps on each table lent a somewhat cozy ambiance to an otherwise dull surround. Beyond that the food and service were underwhelming at best and downright poor at worst. The server was in way over his head despite it not being a very busy night. He didn't ask if we had any questions - which he couldn't have answered anyway. As he started to punch our simple requests into his tablet, he became distracted by the diners next to us while we were mid-sentence. Then - no surprise- after nearly 20 minutes he returned to our table to say that he put in the order but for "some reason" the kitchen didn't have it. We gave it to him again. Finally dinner arrived. Mostly. The salmon I had ordered for my salad (twice!) was missing. The food runner - looking completely confused - said he'd let someone know. About 5 minutes later a half-cooked piece of salmon arrived. I was able to salvage about half of it to eat. Sending it back would have meant a further delay and by this time we were quite hungry. My (beet and pear) salad was a small, soggy mess w/ too much goat cheese and not enough greens. The side of sauteed spinach I ordered came overly salted and watery and plopped in a monkey dish. My companion seemed to enjoy the flatbread she ordered, though having tasted it, I found it high in salt and low on mushrooms and truffle. Periodically our waiter would aimlessly slouch through the dining area, never asking if we needed anything or how our meal was. It took flagging him down to get a refill of my long-empty water glass. I showed him the uneaten raw salmon and he said he'd "see what he could do". It turned out to be nothing. We ordered desert and coffee - the coffee served without spoon or cream both of which I had to ask for. For the later I had to drag him away from chatting with his colleagues to make the request. Java Nation - stick to coffee and pastries. Dinner is not your bag.

    Java was great as usual. We have a monthly margarita HH and we always pick Java. Our server was great and so were the food and drinks.
