I was really unhappy with the experience. The waitress was rude; rushing our party and over charged us for the drinks we ordered after we decided to eat elsewhere.
This was not my first visit and I just can’t help but think that food is not all that great, especially for the price, and I personally much rather prefer Tommy Bahamas across the street as their food is much better:-))
I took my wife here for our 4 year anniversary as she had never been here before. We had a wonderful time from the moment we walked in. We arrived 15 minutes prior to our reservation time and were seated immediately. The service was great, the food and drinks were incredible as always. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu options and made our dessert personal for our anniversary. It was definitely a wonderful evening, they made a memory for us that we will cherish for a lifetime.
Jasper’s has great food but I feel they always try to rush you out. The waiter removed our appitizer before we were finished with it. This is the second time this has happened.
We were excited and thought the restaurant was very nice as the way it looked. However the food and service were a disappointment overall. We were seated at a table kind of out of the way and a vent blew right down on us. The waiter was also nice but we had to keep looking for him. Our bread was given to the table next to us after a long wait and having to ask why it hadn’t come yet. Food took a while too. My husband’s prime rib was good but mine was tough. They were nice and subbed it for very tasty halibut. Wish i could write a better review.
We thoroughly enjoyed our Valentines' Day Dinner at Jaspers. The food was superb. Everything was great. Sheri our server did a great job. Thanks. We'll be back and recommend Jaspers to our friends.
Excellent food and service
The food was wonderful. The service was very good. It could have been better but it was Valentine’s Day and it was very busy.
Jasper's Market Street is fast becoming one of our favorite venues for both casual and special occasion dining. We've always enjoyed great food, friendly and attentive servers, and a pleasant environment for cocktails and conversation. We're eager to try Sunday Brunch next...So, save us a seat!
If I’m comparing our experienceto other steak and seafood restaurants in the woodlands area, the food was below par. Steak was just OK and definitely overpriced. The sides all had onions in them after I told our server we didn’t like onions. Our server was not rude by any means but did not enhance the experience and service was closer to what I would expect in a low price point , casual restaurant.
Great location, wonderful food, superb service, and excellent value
Jasper's in The Woodlands used to be in my top 3 of the best restaurants anywhere that I would/could recommend to anyone. In the last 10 years I easily have been there 30-40 times and dropped, without regret, a lot of money there. The food was always spectacular, the service was superb, and the value was at the higher end of reasonable. I went this past Friday, 12/9/18 to celebrate my daughter's birthday. Because of a busy life traveling, I had not been back to Jasper's in probably a year and one-half. Things have definitely changed.....and not for the better. Frankly, I was taken aback it was so mediocre. Supposedly, this was the "Winter Menu". The Winter Menu was a pale comparison to menus of old. I have had and enjoyed the salmon many times at Jasper's. Each time the menu made a point of indicating that it was "wild caught" or "Copper River" or such. I was again surprised to find the salmon was farm raised. Too many problems with farm raised salmon or other farm raised fish. Coincidentally, my girlfriend and my daughter's boyfriend had the special - flounder. My daughter and I had the "trout". I was very surprised to see all plates were fried. Very surprised! Brook/river/wild caught trout is a delicate fish. Frying it completely kills the flavor (and it did). The trout was was very large for any brook/river/wild caught trout that I have found in a restaurant. This makes me wonder if the "trout" was not sea trout. A completely different fish. I tasted the flounder. It was unimpressive. Again, frying a fish such as flounder if the flounder is of any quality, is a waste of good fish. The asparagus that accompanied the flounder was very tough and fibrous. The macaroni and cheese with craw fish tails was not bad. In summation, Jasper's used to be an outstanding restaurant. I have not followed it closely to know whether there has been a change in ownership, management and/or chef. But something has changed and it isn't for the better.
Worst prime rib I have ever had. Sorry
The food was way overpriced for what we received. Service was only average,
We had a small Business dinner on Monday, February 5th. Our Waitress was beyond helpful. Her explanation of the ribs won us all over. They were fantastic. I am sorry I can't remember her name. Thank you once again for a very enjoyable evening.
This was the second time we ate there. Disappointed they did not have beer cheese soup, but overall the food was delicious. Service a little slow.
Great dinner and easy to get to.
Great place to eat! Great environement, food and service!
We were sat at a terrible table beside the kitchen in a dark closed in corner. Not impressed with their seat choice for 4 big men on a business dinner. Was moved after requesting a better table.
