We were celebrating my parents 43rd wedding anniversary! Our waitress I am trying to remember her name but she was the sweetest lady and had excellent service from her. I want to say it was Charlene or chelsey. We were in a big booth in the corner.
Had a great dinner tonight. Food was delicious. Oysters, green salad, ribs, and prime rib. Service was impeccable. Well done. Thank you.
Jaspers was our favorite restaurant in The Woodlands but over the past year the menu has changed and overall the ambiance isn't quite as sophisticated as it used to be. The restaurant has limited options for healthy eating. The seafood is okay but nothing special; more Applebee's than TrueLuks.
Service was outstanding and food was delicious... and restaurant had a nice atmosphere
Excellent brunch - Sherry was wonderful and took care of us. Patio seating with the breeze provided the perfect ambiance.
Had a great anniversary dinner
First time at Jasper's. It was my husband's birthday so when the reservation was made, I made note of that but ... no one at the restaurant acknowledged it. Service was good and the food came out really fast. However, I would recommend ordering one course at a time or you won't get a break! The food was good but not great. For appetizers we had the oysters (average) and the pork empanadas (very good). Also had Jasper's salad (average) and the bread board (very good). We had the short ribs which were very tender and tasty ... just needed a little more whiskey gravy. For desert, we had the apple bread pudding and it was delicious. We will go back and look forward to trying something different.
Fun night with friends. Food has not disappointed since Jaspers opened.
Prime rib with baked potato was excellent. Maytag blue cheese chips are our favorite. Bread pudding shared by two, perfect ending to a wonderful date night dinner. Jasper's never misses.
Great food! Sharon H was a great server and took awesome care of us.
Had been here once before and loved it, so came into town and were staying nearby and wanted a special evening with friends. Server was very nice, but when we asked for Brussels sprouts, they were out. (And she said it was a new item on the menu). Asked for the mushrooms....out. So ordered sautéed vegetables and got a cut up onion that had passed over the heat but was tough and cold. Asked for rice, brought potatoes. And this was at 5:30 on a Friday. There was only one other table being served. We will NOT be back or recommend it. The bar was very busy, so maybe people go there to drink, not enjoy a very expensive dinner.
Meaghan was an excellent server. She gave us conversation time without being disruptive, yet kept our glasses filled. She offered her opinions on various meal choices and was well versed on the menu. The food was plated beautifully and tasted even better than it looked. Delicious dinner with friends!
Sherry was an awesome waitress tonight:) She was fun and pleasant. Our meal was great, we got the salmon, it was cooked just right. We chose the cheesecake for desert, it was another wonderful option. We come here quite a bit and you can’t go wrong It’s always great @Jaspers:) thank you for a wonderful night, we had a blast this evening!! oxo
It’s a nice place and the Food was good. Not blown away by anything. I’d say it’s just above average.
Best place to share with friends in Woodlands, nice, delicious and excellent service!!!
We’ve been coming to Jasper’s since it opened. It has one of the best burgers and a creative menu. There are three attributes we look for in a successful dining experience: food quality, service and ambiance. Two strikes this time. The lack of welcoming service began with the hostess, who was annoyed by our request to sit at another booth. She put down our menus at the first booth— where she had planned to seat us — and walked away. The service, other than taking our order and delivering food, was absent. Silverware cleared away after a soggy, overdressed, uneaten caesar salad, was never replaced. We shared the one set of silverware. The undercooked burger came without condiments. The wilted greens with the trout were bitter and inedible, again drowned in a dressing. A table of 10, that came after us, was served all of their meals before we received ours. No one asked us about the experience. The masa soup was the only saving grace of the experience. It was divine!
It was the most amazing service the chef gets five thumbs up! Because two is not nearly enough. The whole dinner was just magnificent
Had a 4-top and arrived on time. 4 businessmen for a customer dinner. Taken to a table which was a tiny, awkward booth where the table came up to my chest. Immediately asked hostess if we could get a table (with chairs). Told no, nothing available. Men were average size - tall. Apps were good, service was as well. Dinner: ordered scallops and shrimp from regular menu. Well cooked and seasoned. Food was above average. Overpriced in my opinion. 36 dollars for 3 scallops and 2 shrimp is excessive (hence the lower value rating). This was a customer dinner so I was not paying. Don’t normally give feedback but want to give some as a few tweaks would improve experience.
I was really unhappy with the experience. The waitress was rude; rushing our party and over charged us for the drinks we ordered after we decided to eat elsewhere.
This was not my first visit and I just can’t help but think that food is not all that great, especially for the price, and I personally much rather prefer Tommy Bahamas across the street as their food is much better:-))
I took my wife here for our 4 year anniversary as she had never been here before. We had a wonderful time from the moment we walked in. We arrived 15 minutes prior to our reservation time and were seated immediately. The service was great, the food and drinks were incredible as always. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu options and made our dessert personal for our anniversary. It was definitely a wonderful evening, they made a memory for us that we will cherish for a lifetime.
Jasper’s has great food but I feel they always try to rush you out. The waiter removed our appitizer before we were finished with it. This is the second time this has happened.
We were excited and thought the restaurant was very nice as the way it looked. However the food and service were a disappointment overall. We were seated at a table kind of out of the way and a vent blew right down on us. The waiter was also nice but we had to keep looking for him. Our bread was given to the table next to us after a long wait and having to ask why it hadn’t come yet. Food took a while too. My husband’s prime rib was good but mine was tough. They were nice and subbed it for very tasty halibut. Wish i could write a better review.
We thoroughly enjoyed our Valentines' Day Dinner at Jaspers. The food was superb. Everything was great. Sheri our server did a great job. Thanks. We'll be back and recommend Jaspers to our friends.
Excellent food and service
The food was wonderful. The service was very good. It could have been better but it was Valentine’s Day and it was very busy.
Jasper's Market Street is fast becoming one of our favorite venues for both casual and special occasion dining. We've always enjoyed great food, friendly and attentive servers, and a pleasant environment for cocktails and conversation. We're eager to try Sunday Brunch next...So, save us a seat!
If I’m comparing our experienceto other steak and seafood restaurants in the woodlands area, the food was below par. Steak was just OK and definitely overpriced. The sides all had onions in them after I told our server we didn’t like onions. Our server was not rude by any means but did not enhance the experience and service was closer to what I would expect in a low price point , casual restaurant.
Great location, wonderful food, superb service, and excellent value
Jasper's in The Woodlands used to be in my top 3 of the best restaurants anywhere that I would/could recommend to anyone. In the last 10 years I easily have been there 30-40 times and dropped, without regret, a lot of money there. The food was always spectacular, the service was superb, and the value was at the higher end of reasonable. I went this past Friday, 12/9/18 to celebrate my daughter's birthday. Because of a busy life traveling, I had not been back to Jasper's in probably a year and one-half. Things have definitely changed.....and not for the better. Frankly, I was taken aback it was so mediocre. Supposedly, this was the "Winter Menu". The Winter Menu was a pale comparison to menus of old. I have had and enjoyed the salmon many times at Jasper's. Each time the menu made a point of indicating that it was "wild caught" or "Copper River" or such. I was again surprised to find the salmon was farm raised. Too many problems with farm raised salmon or other farm raised fish. Coincidentally, my girlfriend and my daughter's boyfriend had the special - flounder. My daughter and I had the "trout". I was very surprised to see all plates were fried. Very surprised! Brook/river/wild caught trout is a delicate fish. Frying it completely kills the flavor (and it did). The trout was was very large for any brook/river/wild caught trout that I have found in a restaurant. This makes me wonder if the "trout" was not sea trout. A completely different fish. I tasted the flounder. It was unimpressive. Again, frying a fish such as flounder if the flounder is of any quality, is a waste of good fish. The asparagus that accompanied the flounder was very tough and fibrous. The macaroni and cheese with craw fish tails was not bad. In summation, Jasper's used to be an outstanding restaurant. I have not followed it closely to know whether there has been a change in ownership, management and/or chef. But something has changed and it isn't for the better.
Worst prime rib I have ever had. Sorry
The food was way overpriced for what we received. Service was only average,
We had a small Business dinner on Monday, February 5th. Our Waitress was beyond helpful. Her explanation of the ribs won us all over. They were fantastic. I am sorry I can't remember her name. Thank you once again for a very enjoyable evening.
This was the second time we ate there. Disappointed they did not have beer cheese soup, but overall the food was delicious. Service a little slow.
Great dinner and easy to get to.
Great place to eat! Great environement, food and service!
We were sat at a terrible table beside the kitchen in a dark closed in corner. Not impressed with their seat choice for 4 big men on a business dinner. Was moved after requesting a better table.
Sevice, food and great attitude is consistent at Jaspers.
Great service. Excellent meal. Can’t wait to go back.
