Quaint space, nice staff and tasty food. Good bang for your buck.
A group of us went for restaurant week and it did NOT disappoint! All four courses were delicious and unique. This place is owned by a husband and wife who were SO sweet and accommodating! Highly recommend eating here if you like supporting local restaurants and if you LOVE Thai food!
Restaurant Week lunch was delicious. I chose lemongrass soup, which was a little spicy, but very good. Massaman Chicken was also very good. The ice cream with a piece of fried banana on top was wonderful. Service was fast and very pleasant.
Food and SERVICE was EXCELLENT
The food and service was so good! Will definitely be going back!
Wow, this restaurant is awesome! Great food and amazing service!
This is a neighborhood gem!
Food was delicious!
The restaurant is small, but the server was attentive and allowed spacing between diners.
I would definitely return, and recommend this restaurant!
Service was terrible. Food tasted okay but was lukewarm at best.
We didn’t end up eating here because at 7:45 we still hadn’t been seated (7:15 reservation). I felt awful for the staff because there was only one waitress for the entire restaurant. Every seat was occupied and she was responsible for taking orders, running all the food, and bussing tables. That is way too much for one person to do and it must have been incredibly stressful. I’d still love to eat here as the restaurant smelled great. I hope that they can get some staff hired and trained to help that one waitress out though.
The worst service that we have ever experienced. We had to order by writing our order down on a diner slip. Appetizer took an hour to bring out four frozen spring rolls. Dinner took another hour to come out. Then we were trapped in this restaurant, as the staff was nowhere to be found when it was time to lay the bill.
Food was delicious. Wait staff trying to keep up with orders but restaurant was busy on Saturday evening. Will definitely go again.
My experience at Jasmine Rice was amazing as usual… my husband and I have been going for years now…the food is always fresh, flavorful, authentic and yummy. The service is always on point… the owner is the sweetest and most accommodating we have seen from a restaurant. I definitely recommend this 5 star restaurant, you will not regret it… one of the best authentic Thai restaurants in the city hands down ❤️❤️❤️❤️
For appetizers, the shrimp spring rolls were nicely prepared with a tasty dipping sauce. The portion size for the fried tofu appetizer, however, was too small. The Spicy's Alley entree (shrimp and chicken) had only two pieces of shrimp and was mostly chicken and dried peppers. All appetizers and entrees were well flavored. On a Saturday night, only one waiter was on duty for the whole restaurant. He managed OK, but was definitely stretched thin, which slowed service considerably.
We ate here during restaurant week. Our server was terrible--ignored us most of the night and seemed high when we did interact. The food was just okay. We enjoyed our salad and dessert was decent, but the rest was nothing to write about. The place is a tiny hole in the wall, which is why we picked it--we usually love those kinds of restaurants. However, this one was not worth it.
I had hair in my meatball in my appetizer. The portions and foods was not worth the price at all! There was only one waiter that was doing the best he can. The restaurant had very limited space for too many tables and chairs they set out. I was very disappointed with everything especially the taste of the foods. I want to help small businesses, but they need a lot of work. Maybe because of restaurant week that they didn't expect to get that much customers. I wish them the best!
I enjoyed myself very much. Very attentive staff. Food was delicious.
The restaurant week menu was something to be desired, the portions were really small, and they ran out of quite a few things. Additionally the food took a bit to come out
