   Had a late lunch Friday, had a reservation and we were seated immediately. Service was prompt but patient as we did a lot of chatting. Rolls were great, Tres Diablos had a nice kick, and a sashimi combo was fresh tasting. Pricing seemed reasonable, overall a very nice lunch.

   I've been here several times in the past years, but the last two times I've found it a bit underwhelming. Food was good, but atmosphere was a not. Music was Incredibly loud so much that my friend and I could barely hear each other. This was the second time in which there was a very antiseptic smell in the restaurant. Quite unpleasant. The carpet and furniture could do with a definite refresh. Service was fine.. Food was good with nice presentations. We especially like the seafood spicy ramen. I always want to love this restaurant, but will not be returning.

   Food was excellent however our server needs to be able to explain more in detail what products were in the Chef's Choice package.

   Food was good, but service ruined the experience. Went for my brother’s 30th birthday since this is his favorite place. He spent 1.5 hours to get here and not even a happy birthday note or mention. The least you could have done is let us be in a more quieter spot since. I also had to remind the waitress of our drinks a couple times - never asked if we wanted a refill. Disappointing to celebrate a special occasion here.

   Fresh and creative fusion food with great quality and value. Really happy to find this good place in Bellevue Downtown. My definitely first choice to celebrate birthday with friends. Their complimentary birthday green tea ice cream was a surprise and delicious.

    This was our first time at Japonessa. 9/10 for the food. I deducted 1 point for the sad dessert. The strawberry mochi cake was dry, lacked flavor, and tasted like it had been previously frozen. The service was great. Ambiance was lively. Noise level/music could’ve been brought down a touch.
