To secure your seating time, a pre-payment of $49 per guest is required, which will be credited to your final bill due at Janken. Please keep in mind that all reservations are refundable up to 72 hours before your reservation day and time, and a 20% service charge will be added to all parties. The food was delicious although a bit overpriced IMO. Ambience was cool but fairly loud and we were sat right next to a full table when there were more tables available throughout the restaurant. We were celebrating and anniversary and looking for something a bit more romantic - would be better for a birthday or social gathering. Service was excellent. Also, for such a nice restaurant it was weird they had their menus on plain printed paper folded in half.. just added to the feeling that the food was overpriced.

Excellent food, excellent service. The music was so loud that we could not enjoy a conversation easily.

It was my birthday. Everything was delicious, the waitstaff was all attentive, the price point was spot on. I have texted photos and recommendations to all my favorite people. Can’t wait to go back.

Jenken is pretty unique these days in Portland. We really didn't think it would make it because an average dinner is $100+. But they are consistent, have good crowds and the service is beyond compare here in Portland. We wanted for nothing and had at least 3 people taking our order, clearing table quickly and providing food expediently. Our dinners were well prepared and beautifully presented. I'm a vegetarian and found lots to choose from and my husband really enjoyed his scallops and soft shell crab sushi. I would highly recommend it.

Everything amazing! Incredible food, service and ambiance. Pricey but worth it!! We tried so many things on the menu and it was all fabulous. They had a special; angel hair pasta with caviar and truffles, it was out of this world!! It is a beautiful restaurant with a fantastic vibe and good music.

We have enjoyed previous visits to Janken, but don't think we would go again. There are so many excellent options in Portland and the service was really subpar on our last visit. Obviously they had some VIPs in the house this last Sunday and our server and the manager made a very decided choice to focus on the table next to us giving them almost constant attention and service. We had to wait a long time to order drinks, then again even longer to order food, by the time the meal was ending we just wanted to leave and opted to go elsewhere for dessert. Really disappointing when we had out of town guests with us and Janken is pricy. We certainly expect all customers to be treated with equal deference. Poorly done.
