Loved it, food, service, ambience!!
Very cool place.

As a new alternative to a pre-movie meal before heading to the ArcLight Hollywood, Jane Q is a good option. The casual setting with a full & interesting cocktail bar with a menu of lighter fairs is quite nice. However, the meal portions are small and some reinterpreted items (like the truffle calzone) just don’t work. The deserts are plentiful and sweet.

Food was delish. I was disappointed that they were out of several items/ingredients.

My wife and I were able to get last minute reservations (booked 3 hours before we dined) which was a great since there was a show at the Pantages that night. We needed to be in and out in 45 minutes since we were heading to a show at the Pantages down the street and the staff did amazing to serve us quickly without feeling too rushed eventhough we showed up a few minutes late.
The food was very good, great place to get a few shareable and try many items on the menu. We had carpaccio, meatballs, pear & burrata cheese, and a small pizza and everything was delicious. This will likely become our new pre-theater favorite and we would recommend for any date night night.

Loved the atmosphere and the vibe in the evening during dinner. It's a perfect pre-theatre meal spot with a wide variety. Service was truly impeccable. Friendly, unpretentious and fun.

Beautiful modern decor. Menu is inviting and accessible. Food was excellent, really enjoyed my forest mushroom pizza. My dining companions both had the steak and thought they were excellent, perfectly cooked. We each indulged in a dessert and no one left even a morsel. Of course, I had a lot of pizza to take home so I would have room for dessert. It was great the second day too.

We had wonderful service and enjoyed the atmosphere. The food was just okay.
The sea bass was very dry and the steak was thin and undercooked. The garden salad and sangria was excellent.

Had only 45 minutes to catch a bite before Pantages Theater event. Server was so a accommodating and helpful. He alone made our night.

Food was amazing. Huge portions. Drinks were out of this world and truly delicious.

We got the $29 open table menu deal which was such a good deal - the entree alone on the menu was 26.
Oh and surprise - FREE champagne just because we told our server we were headed to the Pantages to see Wicked!!!

Can’t wait to go again - really sweet spot with great atmosphere and super close but totally removed from Hollywood Blvd

My date and I were LITERALLY the only 2 people in the restaurant and it was 7pm which seemed strange. Nobody there to greet us, and we needed to find a server to order with. The bar on the next level up was exciting and great atmosphere and since the ambiance there seemed so much better we skipped eating and had one glass of wine and went upstairs to have some fun before going to see “WICKED” which is right around the corner.
We really thought the place had closed or gone out of business.

Jane Q is a hip and delicious cafe/diner. The cheerful lower level may be fully occupied, but there's plenty of comfortable open space on level two. Order and pay at the counter, take your number and they'll find you. I highly recommend the chicken and waffles, fresh croissants, or anything off the dinner menu. All excellent!

So surprised by this wonderful food at a new restaurant I had never heard of. Love the octopus with white beans, crispy on the outside. Love the brussels sprouts love the salad with pistachios and it’s wonderful French Parisian style dressing. Loved my glass of wine and the salmon rillette. Yummy! The service was fabulous. Will be back

Friendly and unpretentious yet hip and chic... a fun find just a couple blocks off the madness of Hollywood Blvd..

My friend and I loved our meals--pork meatballs for me and sea bass for her. Mine was called "smallish" but was way too much for a small portion. Rather than too much of one thing, it would have been nice to pick two or three actually small things for a variety. The sea bass was perfect...good preparation and presentation. Dessert was a huge portion, much too much for one person.

We really appreciated the attentive service before our theatre evening--in and out in an hour with no feeling of being rushed. One other very good point--Jane Q is a short walk from the Hollywood & Vine Metro station and super convenient to the Pantages.

Ate at Jane Q before seeing a show at the Pantages. The atmosphere was just OK for dinner. And the dinner was just OK as well. I think this would be a fine place for breakfast or lunch, though. (But not dinner!) We ordered the grilled octopus appetizer, which was actually very good. My husband ordered the short rib, which was OK. I ordered the halibut, which honestly was pretty terrible. There was grilled fish (tasteless) with random other ingredients on the plate - sliced green olives, a few mandarin orange slices and some sauteed (bitter) fennel. No sauce, and the ingredients just didn't seem to go together or taste very good at all. (blech) For the price, I expected a better put together meal. The drinks before dinner at the bar, though, were quite good.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Loved the open lightness of the restaurant.
The smoked cauliflower was delicious and unusual, as was the sweet potato with a spicy marmalade.
Will definitely return.

All around great food and service. The avocado parfait, octopus, garlic knots, salmon rillettes, and garden of greens salad were killer. The smoked cauliflower was great on the first bite, but was a bit over smoked and became bitter and inedible with successive bites. Try not to come in the late afternoon/early evening as the westward wall is windows without shades, and the tables in the shade are a hot commodity!

We were pleasantly surprised at how delicious the food is at Jane Q. Service was excellent!

Service was slow and food arrived at different times for the four of us dining. Menu is limited. Side of meatballs excellent; pepperoni pizza was super greasy; sea bass was good; and polenta with shrimp, couldn't find the shrimp. Probably will not be back for at least a year and then see if any changes because this place is sure convenient to Pantages.

Second time dining at Jane Q before our show at the Pantages. Enjoyed the friendly service and tasty food. Casual atmosphere. Low noise level is a plus. Imagine being able to carry on a conversation with your dining companions without screaming. What a concept! Thanks Jane Q!

Been here twice and the food is excellent. Open ambiance, a little loud but a fun place to hang. Recommend for before the play or after walking around Hollywood. Highly recommend.

Open bright space with great menu, food and service. We shared 6 dishes between 4 people pre-theatre and all were scrumptious and served quickly with cocktails and wine flowing freely.
Highly recommend the specials. Truffle pizza and wagyu tartare- need I say more?

It was very good food with a varied menu. Service was ok, slow. It was noisy but worth going to try. I still recommend it even with the slow service and noisy ambience.

This restaurant shouldn't take brunch reservations as there is no table service before dinner.

Pretty ordinary food. It’s more of a hotel cafeteria than anything else. We went there on a special night out thinking it was going to be much better.

Dinner before panteges show. Had a great meal, wonderful service and beautiful ambiance.
