Jamieson’s International Tavern
Sunday brunch is a great experience and value. I love coming here for dinner, as well. It's obvious the food is top priority here, as the menu is highly curated and someone from the kitchen almost always comes out to explain what makes the dish special every time I visit.
I recommend the charcuterie board with a flight of Michigan craft beers for this reason. I love this place and it never seems too crowded.
The service was excellent. Wide variety on the menu and food prices very reasonable. We will definitely be back
Such a fun place with awesome food and drinks!
Great food great music
We came to Jamieson's for the Mother's Day brunch and were quite pleased with it. The food was very good. The prime rib and ham were fantastic (though a couple of people in my party suggested the portions could have been a bit larger as they had to keep going back for more). The frittatas were a nice touch. Only other thing I'd recommend is having coffee come to the table. But the food was good and the setting was comfortable.
Great dinner and reasonable too
Very nice atmosphere and was treated very kindly, food and service was great, will defiantly be back.
Second visit Best Homemade Potato Chips around. Wish the serving size was larger, had to order a refill they are totally the best. Chicken was a little dry this but tasty.
Nick was a great server
First time there. Service was great. We split the Scottish eggs as something different and they were very good. Ordered the wrap and black & blue burger. Wrap was good, the burger just ok. Looked good but, it wasn't hot & cheese wasn't very melted. Fries were very hot & good. Will definitely go back, the service and people were just too nice.
Food was solid and prices are very reasonable. Service was not good. Our waitress was nice, but very inattentive and clueless. They were very crowded though so hope to have a better experience next time. My only food complaint is that the bread on the Chicago beef sandwich (French dip) should be toasted or grilled, which it wasn’t and therefore couldn’t stand up to the au jus for dipping.
This is a nice alternative to the chain pubs in the area. Beer prices were good, service was excellent. Food quality varied by diner, some loved it some thought it was just OK. The good news is, nothing was awful. I would def. try it again just for the variety.
We’ve been to Jameson’s many times. This bust was on St Patrick’s day so I understand having music and festivities going on. The music was so loud that you literally couldn’t hear the person sitting across from you. We asked to have the music turned down a little but that was generally ignored. If this becomes the new norm, we will not be back.
Thank you for your response. It was a little loud on St. Patricks day. I had asked them to turn it down a little, but in hindsight we could have a little more. We normally are quieter as you have probably realized. We have had acoustic musicians in periodically. Every Friday & Saturday we will be having acoustic musicians from now on. We like to have a more relaxed atmosphere. Thank you again for your response. Joe Jamieson.
My Band played there this past St. Patrick’s Day.
We were overall “Very Impressed” with this establishment as well as with their personnel. Jamieson’s went beyond the general Pub/Tavern atmosphere to make it an Authentic Irish Celebration beginning by making certain that the process of Cooking the Cornedbeef was one of a long 4 day process. To the having an actual Irish Styled Breakfast on the Day’s Menu. One which consisted of White and Black Puddings... as well as Real Soda Bread!
Drink was Good too!
Good Job Jamieson’s!
I will be back to give your regular Menu a GO!
Food was not great sent it back multiple times. We will not be going back. Service was decent.
Thank you for sharing with us your experience. I am disappointed that you had issues when you where here. We take pride in what we do. Especially since I grew up in this area and wanted to open this restaurant in my home town area. If you could let me know what you tried and the issues that you had, it would help us in training so we to not have those types of issues potentially in the future. Thank you again for your input,Joe Jamieson. josephj@jamiesonsit.
Among our group of neighbors who get together to go out to lunch a couple of times a month, I was the only one who had eaten at your restraurant before. I was VERY impressed so I suggested it to the group. From the comments I received afterwards, everyone was very satisfied and I was thanked for suggesting your place! Pretty sure you will be getting returning diners.
Our waitress was friendly, helpful and efficient. Bonus feature was the owner/chef personally coming out to make sure we were satisfied and even stayed to chat.
I expect your establishment to become really busy once word gets around about the food quality and the uniqueness of some of the dishes you offer that just aren't offered at other restaurants. I personally want to try your Sunday Brunch very soon. I WILL continue to happily recommend Jamieson' s Tavern.
Sincerely, Linda Griggs
Good food and the server was super friendly... just seemed slow? 90 mins for dinner and dessert felt really long. The place was empty at 5:30pm, so we were surprised we didn’t leave until 7.
We have been there several times and had good experiences - but this last time, not so much. We raved about the restaurant to our friends and made reservations online for 8, it ended up only being 6 people. We arrived on time. Were sat right away. It took 20 minutes for our waitress to take our drink order. It took another 30 minutes before she came back to take our dinner order. We had people from our group go to the bar to get drinks because we waited so long and our waitress mockingly yelled at them. By the time our dinner arrived, we were there almost 1 hour and 45 minutes. The rediculous part was that there were 3 hostesses, 3 bartenders, multiple food runners - and seveal waitresses - but our waitress was having long conversations with other tables. It wasn't just our table that was frustrated, the other tables around us were just as upset. Luckily we had good friends to make the wait bearable. I think the biggest issue was the lack of management to monitor what was going on with the waitress. Food was good, good drinks and very clean fun place but the super long wait and lack of customer service was what we really remembered of our evening.
This was a great find. Food is awesome. The owner takes time to say hello and is very friendly. Try getting an order of buffalo sauce and homemade chips. Not on menie. But is an awesome.combo. the other
We met friends there for our little Christmas dinner and exchange - the service and food was wonderful. We will definitely be back!
This was my first visit. The waiter was very friendly and attentive. The food was very disappointing. I ordered the pretzel walleye with fingerling potatoes. The potatoes were done but very hard. The broccoli was very good. The fish was over firm with little taste. I ate very little of my meal. The beer list is extensive and I tried a beer from Poland. I would be willing to try it again but would certainly order something else.
