My wife and I went there for a Thanksgiving meal and we were both disappointed. Three out of the four items on our plates came from the steam and it tasted like it.
(I owned a restaurant several ago).. We had the turkey meal. Last year we went to a different Jameson's and our meal there was fine. We live close by so we went there thinking it would be the same....it wasn't.
I had 5:30 reservations and was seated promptly. The food was ok and the waitress unpolished, but ok. At 7:00 the lights in the lobby were turned off. When I asked what was going on, I was told they were closing at 7:00 (I was never told this). The manager then came and started clearing glasses off the table when we were having coffee and dessert. She said that the staff were in a hurry to go home. The special holiday dinner was billed as three courses for $29. In reality, the cost was $31. There was a $2 charge for apple the apple or pumpkin pie. Things were bad to the point that one of my guests call that night to tell me how rude he thought the behavior of the manager was.
My husband had the Thanksgiving special. He really enjoyed it. I had the filet mignon with blue cheese crust. The meat was cooked perfectly. The service was excellent. Best of all we didn't have to worry about a big clean up at home on Thanksgiving day. We would definitely go back again.
Food was very good. Steaks were a little under-done on the cooking but acceptable. Good value for a steak dinner. Decor could be changed to feel more like a steakhouse & less like the hotel restaurant.
It is a wonderful place to eat especially if you would like a dinner with friends and be able to talk. The service is great and the food is delicious.
The entertainer they had on Friday night, Ross Failla, was awesome! The service is a little slow but I didn't mind since the live music was so good. The chicken pot pie is the best I've ever had.
Unfortunately had to sit in the bar section (dining room wasn't open) although we did have a corner table which was good. Service was attentive and food was good.
Singer was good but volume was too high and it was hard to hear each other.
We were not expecting live entertainment. Music selection was fine- oldies.
If you want live music this is a good place to go.
Service was great
Group of 7, our experience in general was great. The only complaint is an over cooked ribeye, which I don't feel should ever happen. But aside from that, great service, great food, and we definitely will be back time and time again.
Great food and service. Separate bar with live music is great too.
We went to this Jameson’s because the one by us was booked. This location is a ‘cousin’ location not a ‘sister’ location and we did not know that until we asked our server at the end of the dinner why our food tasted very different from the other location we loved. The appetizer bread was semi soft but had a very crunchy exterior. We asked for our steaks cooked to Medium and they came out medium-rare at best and the broccoli that came with our steak did not taste fresh. We love the other Jamesons we usually go to and were very disappointed by the food experience of this location. We didn’t realize there were ‘cousin’ locations but we’ll most likely wait for openings at our preferred location going forward.
Our reservation was for 6pm, we got there a few minutes early and were seated immediately. The service was excellent, as was the food. We will definitely go back.
The salads were good just the right size. We ordered crap cakes and they were good but could of been warmer. Drinks were great. Waitress said they were short on staff. Overall we would go back.
Great service, bland vegetables.
The place has seen better days. It was our first time there but we’ve been to other Jamison sure houses and like them so I thought this would be similar but it was not. The place was empty the food was bad and there was a leak in the ceiling from rain dripping into a bucket next to a table
Love their food but they have to start backing off on the salt.
We enjoyed our dinner at Jameson’s very much. We definitely will go again.
Food for all three customers was bad. Chopped steak was to be rare and was well done. 2 others ordered a beef dipped sandwich and didn't finish. Said the meat was oily.
Will not return. Had another meal there earlier in the year and wasn't happy and went to try again. Never again.
The worst experience ever!
Cold food, horrible service!!! I WILL NOT BE BACK!
Not the best but, not the worst. Just ok. Probably won't be back, I can find better to spend $100 on.
The entire staff treated myself and my kid so well. Our server was extremely busy but we never felt neglected or had to wait too long. Great dining experience!
Once we were seated, we waited about 15 minutes for anyone to take drink orders. Finally a waitress, who was very nice, asked if anybody had come to the table yet. She ended up being our server and she was great. Drinks were good. Food was just alright. I ordered Greek style Halibut that was billed as fresh but the texture seemed frozen. Covered in a thick Greek lemon sauce that was really unnecessary. My wife had a petite filet that was good. Just so so and it was not cheap, around 130.00 for 2 people. Oh, and a Bill Murray lounge singer didn’t help.
My wife and I went to Jameson’s to celebrate our 25 wedding anniversary. Our waiter Jesus was outstanding, the best service I have had in a very long time. Our food came faster than expected and was excellent. Afterward the manager stopped by our table to see how everything was, a very nice gesture that seems to be escaping most establishments. We highly recommend Jameson’s Charhouse in Countryside. You will not be disappointed.
Always a good time! Our second time there and we sat by the bar. Besides a woman talking loudly on her phone a table away from us everything was good. Chef came out to thank us for coming and we love the food! Drinks were also good except they brought my husband a peach white claw can of the peach spritzer which was odd to me and I laughed because I thought maybe they should’ve dresses it up a little in a cup with a cherry but I’m no bartender. All else was perfect! Didn’t realize it was also attached to a hotel. Maybe next time we will get a room!
We were seated in the bar area..not sure why since we went early & there was clearly more than enough room in the actual dining room. There was a private party & was so extremely loud we were not able to have a conversation without yelling. Also the temperature was not adjusted appropriately & was way to cold even the people next to us agreed.
It would be nice to expand the appetizer menu also.
Celebrating a milestone Birthday with a friend
We were SO PLEASANTLY SURPRISED it was absolutely DELICIOUS!! I had a filet that was perfectly cooked. Everyone in our party had a great meal!
I thought it was very fairly priced also.
Service was good for the limited staff they had working.
Chef came out to the tables and asked how everything was. Very friendly staff. Good food.
My first time dining here, what a wonderful experience. Service, food, ambiance was excellent. The chief greeted us, the waiter was very good. My wife and I enjoyed friendliness and the welcoming feeling. Looking forward to our next visit.
Delicious food: pork chop was outstanding: flavorful and huge. Likewise chicken parm and chopped steak were great - the chopped steak came with onions and mushrooms and there was no skimping on the quantity. Service was very good: attentive and friendly without being intrusive. Everyone from the hostess to the manager and the server took time to thank us and make us feel welcome.
Having an early reservation, we found the restaurant not crowded. The entry way is a bit off-putting but that may have been to the early hour with not many people.
The food was really very good from soup and salad through main entre.
Drinks before hand were large and very tasty - the sangria was especially good.
The food was Very Good. Along with the service. Enjoyed everything.
Great service. Food was great
Chef even came out to talk to us
I highly recommend
Food was not good. Nice music. Probably won’t go back
The food was delicious and the service was great.
Staff was nice. Good service. Chef came out to table and was super friendly. Baked onion soup was very good. I also had the app filet sliders as my entre .. so disappointed. Just no flavor. My husband had the crab cakes wasn’t impressed at all. His also has the jc burger said it wasn’t bad. I would give it another try on a Friday get some soup and few beers listen to music . Otjer than that i would not go back for dinner .
Terrible atmosphere, very dark. Food was not worth $114.
Servers running around. They had to yell over the loud piano
and screaming singer. Person next to us ate bending over
her table with her butt in our face! Really?!!!
This was my first time at this Jameson's the service was good and the food was very good. The chef even came out to check and see how we enjoyed everything. I will defiantly go back.
Food was excellent. Drinks were excellent t as well. Very courteous staff.
I had the filet mignon and my guest had the ribeye. Both very good.
