Jameson's Charhouse - Arlington Heights
Jameson's Charhouse is a classic American steakhouse with a charming and relaxed atmosphere. This family-owned eatery opened in 1990 and has been serving lunch and dinner every day, seven days a week since then. Jameson's is a great place for late-night dining on the weekends as the kitchen is open until midnight and the restaurant features live music from 7:30 to 11:30 every Friday and Saturday.
Jameson's menu takes all of the best elements of a great steakhouse and puts them on full display. Starters include decadent seafood like oysters Rockafeller, crab cakes and a jumbo shrimp cocktail. For dinner, the steaks are clearly the stars of the show. Diners can choose between dishes like ribeye, New York strip steak, filet mignon and butt steak as well as non-beef options like barbecued baby back ribs, pork chops and a rack of lamb brushed with dijon mustard.
Always a great experience
We are from out of town and I eat at wonderful places all over the world, but none any better than Jameson's Charhouse!
The filet was perfectly cooked, the mashed potatoes were mediocre and vegetable hunks plopped on the plate to fill space. The service was uninspired and serviceable at best. This was a large expenditure for my friend and myself, a splurge, and almost every person we ran into treated us like we were an annoyance. I am a stickler for good customer service and still believe in the concept of good "people" skills is what brings folks back. There have been many times when am exceptional server saved the dining experience, it was definitely not the case at Jamesons. The server did not make eye contact, flipped menus onto the table, had nothing to say about specials, had nothing to say in general and stayed away from the table throughout dinner. The place is lovely to look at, and is pricey, too bad the individuals that were there to serve us, reception to waiter, appeared to care less.
Our waiter was very good and prompt never had to ask for a refill great service
Food was great. New server. Live music.
Very good service and food was excellent
We went for our anniversary dinner. The soup was great. Salad tasted like it had been watered down. Steak was over charred. Lobster was so overcooked that we both used our steak knives to cut it into pieces. The butter we dipped it in was so flavorless that there was no point in it being there. The tiramisu was the highlight in being actually light, fluffy, and tasty. Our server was super nice that we just didn't have the heart to tell her we hated the food.
Always friendly service and great food. Extremely economical never had a bad experience at Jamison's Arlington Heights.
Good food this trip. Unfortunately, the prime rib I ordered rare was not available. I was told 20 minutes after I ordered that it was not available. They should have been aware when the order was placed. The table was served and I waited 10 minutes for my new order.
A lot of food.. good service..
We were stuck in a room in the back, It was very claustrophobic .
Absolutely the best restaurant overall! End to end consistency each and every time.
One of our go to places. Soup and salad included with wonderful food will keep us coming back.
Service was great as was the food. French onion soup to die for. Every meal came with soup AND salad. So much food. Was a little noisy but we were with kids so didn’t mind.
Jameson’s is one of my favorite restaurants! The food was even better than usual! Filet and prime rib were outstanding! The service was excellent, we had several special requests (end cut of meat, prime rib order larger than listed on the menu, combination soup order), all requests were accommodated with no issues! The atmosphere was quiet and cozy. Everything was spectacular!
First they couldn’t locate my reservation.
Second, after being seated for over 15 minutes we had to ask who are server was. As no one even stopped by our table.
My steak was luke-warm at best.
During our dinner my girlfriend had to ask to have my water to take some medication since it was over 20 minutes before being asked from our server if we needed anything.
Worst experience I’ve had at a Jameson’s since I can remember.
Food is really good! The Calamari & chocolate martini, rock!!!!
Food was excellent as usual. My wife got her halibut, and I had steak and lobster. Would recommend this place to everybody.
Celebrating our friend’s birthday, all the drinks were delicious, the soup tasty and my ribs were outstanding. Even heated up the next day very tender. My husband loves the London broil snd wild rice. A great place for a great meal at good prices.
Great food, great service. One of my favorite restaurants.
Excellent food and service at a reasonable price
We've been going to Jameson's for years both for simple dinners after a daily event and for very special occasions with friends. Always top quality across the board. Look forward to future visits.
Food was excellent service was outstanding
Great food, great service, great restaurant!
Very comfortable with lots of room. I have never ordered anything that I didn’t thoroughly enjoy. Always warm bread for the table, and the daily soups are terrific. The service is impeccable. The only downside is that after the soup and warm bread, your appetite for the entre may suffer!
Great food ,large menu something for everyone. Great service wait staff is excellent !
Always a very comprehensive Specials Menu with many choices. Had the Full slab of ribs. Very very good. Always soup AND salad. The Brocolli soup is fantastic. Service is above average here, as well.
Just not as good as Mt Prospect location, both food and service.
The burgers are the best around .
Great choice of soups. Always friendly staff .
We made a reservation online, which was one of the easiest online systems that I have used. We got in and was seated within 15 minutes. The waiter welcomed us and took our drink orders and came back for the meal orders. I really like the decoration and layout of thee restaurant, and the live music was a bonus. It took around 45 minutes to get our food. Everyone in our party raved about the food and service. Yes you pay for it but they deliver. I will be visiting Jameson’s in the future.
Love Jameson's but two of us ordered one of the specials of the night at about 5:30 and they were out of it so we were slightly disappointed, but we got over it with what we did have and enjoyed it!
Good food and great service
Excellent food, perfectly prepared and served by a wonderful staff member.
Friendly efficient service. VERY GOOD food at reasonable price. Enjoyed everything about the restaurant.
My wife's Prime Rib was tough. We sent it back. It turned out to be an end cut. The replacement was very good. Waiter was a bit forgetful. He had to be reminded to bring ketchup for my friends fries and soups, two in my party requested to take home. Have been here many times before. First time the experience was not up to par.
Waited 50 minutes after our reservation. Half of our steaks came back well done when we ordered for medium rare. Will never go back.
We have eaten at Jameses many times. It was Fathers Day and made a reservation knowing it would be busy. Our reservation made several days in advance was for 6:30 and we did not get seated till 7:20! Enough said...
Went for first time for Fathers Day - great food, great value for money spent - would definitely recommend
We went out for dinner on Father's Day and were somewhat disappointed. My husband had the 16 ounce Ribeye and it was just ok; I had the London Broil and it was excellent; great selection of fresh vegetables for a side dish but the chicken and rice soup lacked both chicken and rice. The hostess was dressed extremely inappropriately for a family restaurant. The decor is definitely dated.
Great food and atmosphere ... went there for Father’s Day... great waitress... good portions of food... would definitely come back and recommend this place
Food and service were excellent on Father's Day. Crying baby in next table was bad until they finally left. Our waiter made the day fun!! Thanks to all.
